Awh J (((((hugs))))) for you. Send back those orders that haven't been paid for, particularly the older ones. I'll save some orders (had a lady order in C4 who couldn't pay, she should be having it soon, though she did say she didn't mind if I had to send it back) but I don't make a habit of it, people shouldn't order if they can't pay, I know unexpected things crop up, but then they should be happy to accept that you need to return the items and they can re-order when they can afford it. If you loose them as customers it'll be no hardship, as means you're getting rid of the awkward ones who take up more time than they earn you. I know it sounds harsh - but seems like maybe you need to be in order to get your earnings/free some time up to spend on nicer things like playing with your little one :)

I couldn't have any of the fit flops last year as they weren't small enough, getting a size 3/4 in my delivery tomorrow, but they might still be too big for me as I'm technically a 2 and a half lol, but can usually wear size 3s with no problem. I'm hoping I can get away with them, even if I just have to wear them round the house lol.

    Evening all :)

MarsdenCuckoo - I noticed you said you have washed your white flip flops in the machine - did they wash alright? I have been considering chucking mine in the wash too.

I have a demo pair of size 3/4 in black, but my white ones were 4/5 and they were a better fit. Think I might order the black in 5/6 and see which works out best for me. I normally take a shoe size 4-4 1/2.

Result - area manager is going through territory reports to see who is under-performing (ie not covering their territory but haven't admitted to it)...and as most of my sales go through on my partners account (to up our earnings) I popped up on it lol. But - she realised that was why, so she's swapping some of my streets to his account, getting rid of the rubbish streets OH has that we have no customers on (most of one street is just private school buildings lol) and should be able to have a new street or two as well once everything is sorted and she knows what else is free. OH will be happy as he had been after extra territory, and with how much lower our sales are this year compared to last year I think we need it!

  • Good news Lozza xx
  • ...Changing the subject slightly but someone commented earlier about taking their OH in with them to do an initial sign-up. It hadn't dawned on me until recently how dangerous it is for upliners, who live on their own, to do sign-ups without anyone else knowing the details. Had a precarious one to do recently but it turned out OK so.... word of warning, it's a good idea to email your own upliner and/or let someone know your movements. Better safe than sorry.

Oh dear MC...precarious in what way? (PM me if you would rather not be public about it!). Thoughts do occur to me sometimes when arranging initial signups. I mostly try to do them in the morning/middle of the day but have had to do an evening one. What hints and tips do other SLs have about recruiting safely?

to make sure OH knows the address I'm going to, time of appt and I let him know when I'm there & then when I leave with a quick text. He knows I take about an hour on a sign up, so any longer than that and he checks. Unless he's been on nights as then he's asleep lol.

I make sure I keep my avon phone in my handbag, but my personal phone in my pocket so its quicker to get to.

I posted last week saying I had a gentleman to sign up, so was taking OH with me as he insisted. As it happened the lad was asleep, ended up speaking with his mum and left lol, but you can never be too careful. Only takes one weirdo to think, o this is a good way to get a woman into my house alone. I just told the gentleman before our appointment that OH would be coming in, as he was starting his SL training and needed to see how it was done. Which isn't a complete lie, but more polite than saying, I don't trust you so OH is coming to make sure you don't try anything.

If you're ever unsure, just arrange to meet in a public place like a cafe.

Yes, my white ones came out fine (I put them inside a pillow case). I noticed that they tended to start going an 'orangey' colour on the toe bit, which didn't tend to come out when I just rinsed them under the tap but came up almost like new once they'd been in the m/c. What have you got to lose? Order another pair in C6 @ £12 and if you wreck them anyway, just send them back..... I  Avon! :T

Am slowly learning but finally come to realise that if you keep in touch with your ASM then they are usually more than happy to help you make the most of your Avon business. I thought I was sneeky but from what I've seen so far they can be there and back before it's even dawned on me! The key is to keep them informed.... ;) In a nutshell, if they invite you to a meeting - go! :j
