I have been a rep for 6 months and would really like to become an SL, what worries me is that I have been asking my ASM for more territory for the last few months and he finally sent me some details last week but I know the area is already covered by another rep (the same rep who does the other half of my village, which I found out when she called me after my ASM saying that the village wasnt covered!!), I have told him this and am waiting for him to come back. If there isnt any territory how can I sign Reps up with new territory also does it take up a lot of time as I work full time.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Obviously, don't know the in's and out's of your area but:

    1. Just because another rep is 'covering' the street, doesn't actually mean it's been officially allocated to them as Given Territory. (Of course, ASMs are not perfect - my initial territory was re-allocated twice before I became an SL and could see that what I'd been promised hadn't actually been allocated to me at all.) If there's only been one rep in your village so far then chances are she's just covered as much as she fancied....

    2. Even if that street is officially allocated to you/another rep then there's nothing to stop her keeping her existing customers as F&F

    3. In our town/village, the ASM now generally says there's no territory available at all so all newbies have to start off on a F&F basis only and if they do well then the ASM will 'see' about giving them some territory.:(

    4. Personally, I enjoy SL'ship but it can take up quite a bit of your time (basically as much as you want to put in I guess really - apart from when you need to resolve your reps' problems/queries) and it WILL cost you money initially.

Hope that helps; good luck whatever you decide.

    Hello all,
Just come for a tiny moan. Weather is terrible, freezing, wet, went to collect books and end result isn't great, no orders =( but three wanted to keep the book a little longer (fingers firmly crossed.) So still only 1 order of £19, though haven't any back from f&f yet either. It's sooo frustrating, though have to admit the walking in the summer is being looked forward to, I've recently joined the new propoints WW, so should do me some good.
I haven't heard anything from Avon as of yet with regards to account number and such. Does anyone know if this info comes in an email, through the post, with SL?

Oh and just edited to say that I caught site of an Avon ad in between Emmerdale and Corrie, promoting ordering through a sales rep and less so direct from their site, infact they directed the mouse on the comp to the 'find a rep' button, so lets pray prime time does some favours. xx

    Happy Avoning xx

Your account number comes in an email from Avon head office :) At least mine did! :) I was signed up on the friday and my SL sent the form on her way out (I live right round the corner from the postoffice!) and by the wednesday they sent me my account number :)
That then means you can get on the site to order etc :)

I had this chelseylou. It was my ASM , who had gone into my account and placed a small order, to make sure she still got her bonus and to keep my account active!

E-mail Avon telling them that you have definitely not placed a C2 order, and someone has committed fraud on your account, and that you would like the order removed immediately.

Explain to them that you were skipping a campaign and will be placing an order for C3.

Best thing to do when you want to skip a campaign and avoid calls from ASM/SL/Avon, et al is to place a small order, ie order 2 books of order forms, they are free and you won't get charged for them. It keeps your account active, it shows on the ASM's record as you have placed an order, they get their bonus and they are happy.
  • Still think it's appalling that ASM's get away with placing orders on reps accounts without their knowledge. It caused me a load of hassle in the last few months.... Tried lodging an official complaint with Avon but got nowhere. Any other suggestions as to what we can/should do i.e. rather than just ignore and let them get away with it?
