    Hi Ladies,

What is the MOV for the shorter campaigns please? Can't find it on the Avon website.

    Thanks

Well after a dodgy start to C3 I finally managed to get £413 so really pleased. Also only ordered one thing for myself this time which is a personal record :rotfl:

Does anyone know if they have discontinued the macadamia and aloe shampoo? I can see the hair balm and moisturising spray but no shampoo. Once again I have a customer who loves it only to find it disappear

    xx

O I know they do mc, my point is, no matter what asm/dsm say it is illegal and they can loose their jobs because of it. If you get no luck with complaining to dsm, take it further and higher up in avon. It's fraud abusing someones account, and fraud get bonuses when they shouldn't have. Make a pain in the !!!! of yourself if necessary, sending letter to head of Avon if need be. Others have managed to get their asm disciplined/sacked because of this and that's what should happen cos theyre basically criminals.

I have just realised that this could also impact on your Tax returns. if your account was checked by the taxman these extra orders would not show on your tax return and the taxman could think you were not declaring all your earnings

Ok on my phone so easier to answer both questions in one post:

I'd try delivering/collecting brochures once or twice (use your previous camp books to keep costs down). Then after that do as I do to recanvass houses that haven't previously ordered and deliver expired brochures with leaflets attached to them. But, actually taking & collecting brochures the first few times is key to prove your reliability. Or door knock to find out who wants one if you're brave enough.

I had a customer order the magix foundation just before Xmas and it was delivered ok so I assume from that they've sorted the production problems and should be supplying them for all shades of it.
Up to you, GM; some of us knock and ask, others just post through the doors but as you say, in my experience if you leave a leaflet only the VERY keen (potential) customers will come back to you. Depends how much time you have and how many books.

When I started I knocked and asked - with 70 houses to cover and only 20 books it seemed 'the only way' to me. I managed to place about 16 books in those 70 houses (and they still form part of my customer base). On the other hand, when I was given an extra street of 22 houses I dropped to every house with a note to the effect 'please tick yes/no if you'd like a book regularly' - so far I've only had 3 orders out of those 22 houses.....

Knocking and asking takes more time initially but at least you know your books are wanted rather than doing all the legwork dropping/collecting back in and potentially losing your books because people don't want them in the first place.

Thank you, Think I will post the books will just have to do it over a couple of camps, not one for door knocking, I know I don't like answering the door (day or night) so I won't do it to others unless they know i am coming. I have another rd which i did the note to say tick if you would like a book but i think alot of people didn't bother i have now done 4 camps on that rd and for the people who i don't think even look at the book I have printed up a leaflet to ask them to contact me if they still want a book.

Hmm... wonder how she gets - "all her reps to pay her 12% of their sales"? Is that what happens when you move further up the ladder?

Having read the article, am not sure whether I feel inspired or sickened.... Bears no resemblance to the hours and hours I spend/waste doing three trips to deliver a £2.50 order! :rotfl:

Seems a good idea then in those circumstances i.e. let them have your contact details and hopefully they'll come back to you. You could always get some calling cards and/or postcards printed @ Vistaprint. I also have matching T-shirts, which I wear whenever out doing Avon and much to my OH's 'despair' their magnetic signs on my car doors.

Just before xmas I bought myself a large White Board - the type where you can just easily wipe off the writing. I have it hanging up and it is invaluable for Avon in particular. I have different Avon lists:

    Customers on holiday
    Customers waiting for OOS
    Deliveries / Payment pending
    Avon recharge mistakes pending
Countless notes re. customers and orders
    etc etc

Everything easy to see, add to and wipe away.

    About £10 in Rymans

  • Hi everyone, and welcome to all the newbies

This horrible 'domp' weather has inspired me to venture out of lurkdom to offer a wet weather tip!

When collecting books in wet weather, always carry one or two old carrier bags. If you come across any really soggy books, you can separate them in a carrier bag so that they don't make all the others wet. Even when the weather is dryer, it's not a bad idea to have a spare bag in case you come across a book which has been on the doorstep for weeks - I always felt it reflected badly on me & Avon to leave it there, but certainly didn't want it in the bag with the respectable ones!

Just make sure you don't do what I did & leave a carrier bag in the back of the trolley for so long that it biodegraded....you've no idea how long it takes to get rid of millions of tiny pieces of polythene

Has anyone sent a letter of complaint to head office? If you know of other reps who have had orders placed without their knowledge you could send them a template to sign. I was thinking lots of separate letters would be more effective than one letter signed by lots of people.

I resigned from avon 2 months ago and today received an order through the post of two kabuki brushes and an invoive for them of £9. I have emailed customer services but don't expect any joy from them. They are the reason I resigned in the first place. I am in area 201. It is the asm that has done this as she has been pestering me for my customer list so I blocked her in my emails.

Does anyone have an email address of anyone higher up I can contact to make an official complaint. I already told them that I consider this fraud and if it is not sorted will take legal advice.

    Thank you
