As far as I remember, if reps are posting in the reps area, customers cannot see the posts. If they post in the customer area they can.

There was nothing for Reps before connects, there was a forum for Sales Leaders.

Thanks, hadn't even realised there were customer and rep areas..... just seem sooooo many! If I have time I just tend to look at recent discussions but it doesn't have the 'homely feel' of this thread.

Before your reminder, A, I never even thought to check about the previous sites, am guessing they no longer exist? We used to have a PC forum too - always took me ages to find my way round both being as the links were sort of 'hidden'.... least on my laptop. :rotfl:

  • normally I would have done, But to be honest I had hoped to have just been sent the freebies of each of them, But I doubt i'll use the call centre again tbh. And also hoped it wouldn't have been too late for it to have been sent with my order! As it was Wednesday I called as soon as i saw my online invoice and realised the boo boo i'm made!

No guarantee but..... I've actually called my SL line and tried to get my rep's order changed to include whatever offer it was i.e. on the basis that it was an innocent mistake. Obviously, there's only a very short 'window of opportunity' to do that (orders do get processed incredibly quickly) but worth calling/emailing your SL for help.

  • I really don't like connects. I registered on there as a customer to find my local rep just to see what it brought up, only gave one page so I don't think that's too bad compared to what other people have to contend with.

The thing I really don't like is the forum part though, there's loads of reps posting things that I really don't think should be seen by customers. But maybe that's just me? I don't know what there was before connects. Still pop on there for a browse every now and then but have never posted on there.

It's worth popping on now and then...I managed to win a Moisture Seduction Lipstick on there yesterday :rotfl::T

  • Just been and collected in a load of books from territory, and loads of them have no order forms in??? How strange - have had this with one or two books each time round but this is nearly half of them.

Strange.... Do you personally address your books? Just a thought - I do that for all my regular customers but do have some, who prefer not to have their names & addresses publicised in a book on their doorstep until it's collected so they leave the book out but without the order form. Even have one lady, where we have an understanding - I put an order form in, she leaves the book out but she will ring me if she has an order i.e. she never puts the order form back in.

    omg!!! am gutted :(:(:(:(

with being in hospital and ill for over a week some of my books were late going out so couple of people (who couldnt be bothered reading what day i was collectin!) informed me last night they wouldnt have the orders till today..... so over the campaign ive been entering orders as i went... its taken HOURS.... last night alone i spent 3/4 hours finishing off what id done, checking it all through and amending any mistakes etc where offers hadnt gone through right etc.... was supposed to submit at 10pm but thought id submit today instead when got the orders

Collect the 2 late orders this morning and try and log in... and my order has vanished!! got angry thinking asm had submitted it.. but no not showing... so just made my first call ever to avon - luckily i can use the UK based presidents club phoneline - only to be told cos i started the order on first day of the campaign it had been wiped from the system as orders are only kept for 21 days!! :(:(

so now i have to sit and reinput at least 50 orders worth over £500 all back in one by one!! plus sort out all my bits i need like bags etc :(:(:(

Oh, J, looks like you've had your signature amended too..... Seems 'Avon Rep & Sales Leader' contravenes the Forum's rules somehow (still waiting for clarification and got to admit to being disappointed at this lack of professionalism by MSE)

Notwithstanding that, I had a call recently from a rep on another team needing help; to cut a long story short, it seems you can place Additional Orders right up until the date of your next due order so that seems to be what you came across i.e. additional orders will be wiped once you reach the due date for your current campaign.

Really sorry you had to find out the hard way - especially after your health issues. Hope you're on the road to recovery and managed to sort your order.

  • Also, while I remember, can anyone who has already put in their C5 order confirm whether they know if the ANEW 4 packs of sample for £2 offer is still running? It was advertised in HT a couple of campaigns back, and was still running when I ordered C4....there are a couple more products I'd like to stock up on samples for if it is. :)

Yes, you can always back order Demo products. (Chances are you can even re-order a Demo product limited to 'one per rep' if you back-order it too i.e. get two of them even though supposedly limited to one only ;) )

MC - just caught up after a couple of days away.

A woman after my own heart, you will go far.

There have always been problems with certain Managers and Reps flouting the system and I suppose that will never change. Where there is a will there is a way, for some people.

I stuck to the rules, got where I did by my own merit and had a large number of happy and successful reps and SL's because of it, so my conscience was clear.

The quickie campaigns have always been a 'bone of contention', so nothing changes there. Getting as many reps and SL's over to online ordering and the revamp of the returns system served me very well.

Sounds like you just need to carry on doing what you are doing, it seems to be working well for you.

Finally getting there with my health, taken a good 4 years, but am now back to full time working. Ironically was today considering going back to Avon, as a house move to a completely different area is imminent, but having read the comments on here I thinks I will give it a miss. 30 years was probably long enough.
MSE Addiction, should come with a health warning:money:

Mine was only stating that i was a presidents club member and tracking my sales targets???? Had it like that for 2 years..?? wasnt recruiting as im not a sales leader or anything just a record of my achievements??

it wasnt an additional order!! thats the annoying thing.. it was my MAIN regular c5 order..... took me 5 hours to re-enter this afternoon. was not impressed.

apparently every order is wiped once its been on the system more than 21 days.. so if like me you start your new order the night the campaign ticks over.. (i.e. after 10pm the night your orders due)... then if your just an hour or 2 late putting your order through for whatever reason it will wipe it

I started c5 about midnight on the 1st day and at 11:30pm last night it was still there past my 10pm deadline so i guess its bang on to 21 full days to the minute you started your order its wiped sent or not!!

MC will tell you to door knock. It works for her and she loses less books that way.

Thanks, yes, just seems logical to me. Recently canvassed a new street allocated to my team (I now tend to canvass them first and then pass on a list of who's interested and who's not - OK, know am soft but at least I know my newbie gets the best possible start then. They're advised to recanvass the rest of the houses when they next have a lot of back-books heading for the recycling bin in a few days....)

Out of 89 houses, I managed to find 15 that wanted a book + 4 orders; took me an hour to door knock/ask and probably another hour to collect back/drop a note to those, who didn't leave out (had to go back to 4 houses that still didn't leave out so they got two notes: 1) I called for your book/order today, please leave out tomorrow & 2) I called again for your book/order, please call me by ....... if you'd like to order anything.

What's the worst that can happen if you knock and ask? They say 'No thanks'.... you move onto the next house, knowing that you've identified a house where your book would've been lost if you'd just dropped it in. Appreciate there is a case that some people are more likely to look at a book if it's just dropped in but guess it depends what sort of area you live in (and of course they can get a 'soon to be defunct' back-book at some point in the future when the rep recanvasses). My customers tend to order much more once they've 'befriended' you but if you only have 20 books when you first start, they're precious so make sure you leave them where they're wanted.......

  • MC I joined back in June and since my 2nd visit for the drop off of my books, I've not seen nor really heard from my SL, not an email or call to check i'm ok. I've had more dealings with my ASM as she lives closer, and I like her she is currently on Maternity Leave, so there is another Areas ASM in charge atm, she seems to be just as good!
