I received 2 phonecalls at 4.30 this afternoon and all I could make out was "Avon credit" and "call us back" I was in the park with mine & Johannes daughters playing so didn't hear it. When I finally decipher enough of the messages to work out who & why I called them back. Turns out I've had to pay £70 to my account to free my order thats been held :mad: An email or a phonecall from someone who spoke English as their primary language would have helped a lot. I opted to pay online as I hadn't activated the debit card which arrived this week for my new bank account which I'm using solely for my avon money
Can anyone tell me how long until it shows in my account and if it will effect the delivery date please?
A/c's only work Monday to Friday so, am guessing, but if it was after 3pm today (depending on your bank of course) it could be Monday before it's processed anyway so not much difference to being panicked into paying it late afternoon today or first thing Monday morning. Every area is different, of course, but I get my delivery on a Thursday morning and provided a/cs are settled by Monday (ideally morning) then the delivery comes out as normal.
Incidentally, if anyone is struggling with uncleared cheques etc. then if you ring Fasttrak you can actually pay your Avon account with your credit card. Not always advisable but useful to know.;)Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

MC - I can't speak for the forum team so I honestly don't know why they removed the sig - but judging by other comments it would seem that they have started clamping down on having the fact you're an Avon rep in your sig removed... I guess it would qualify as advertising... Don't forget it may simply be because they have had to clamp down on ALL people "advertising" as it only takes ONE to say "but you haven't removed signatures where it says "I'm an Avon Rep" etc"...
It's not that YOU have specifically done anything new, but that someone has brought it to their attention and it's been removed as a result...
Don't take it personalThey have a finite number of people working on the forums and sometimes things are extreemly busy - they do say they might not respond to queries about having removed things like posts and sigs - it IS a privately owned forum and that means they have the right to do that
Don't get me wrong... I had both posts and sigs removed before I because a BG many years ago now lol in fact I think I had a few debates with the forum team (and have had some after too LOL) - it's honestly nothing personalJust start again but leave out the Avon bit
Just to be sure!
Thanks, MrsT, and appreciate where you're coming from but isn't it more honest when posting to show that we're Avon Reps/Sales Leaders? After all, MSE allow the Avon threads, which could also be classified as 'advertising' and/or 'promoting products' so it seems nonsensical to me to preclude us from defining whether we have a vested interest in Avon or not......Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Not to mention that if MC posts on another thread about avon then folks know she has a connection with this company and can treat her remarks accordingly. Obviously not a promotional post but perhaps on the health and beauty board or a lively thread about whether peeps want brochures through their door or not...Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

I might be wrong, but I think we are the only thread where we actually advertise what we do. I haven't see a signature saying I am a Kleeneze rep or a milkman, etc.
I think someone has taken offence and reported it. At the end of the day it IS Martin's site and he can do what he wants.0 -
it wasnt an additional order!! thats the annoying thing.. it was my MAIN regular c5 order..... took me 5 hours to re-enter this afternoon. was not impressed.
apparently every order is wiped once its been on the system more than 21 days.. so if like me you start your new order the night the campaign ticks over.. (i.e. after 10pm the night your orders due)... then if your just an hour or 2 late putting your order through for whatever reason it will wipe it
I started c5 about midnight on the 1st day and at 11:30pm last night it was still there past my 10pm deadline so i guess its bang on to 21 full days to the minute you started your order its wiped sent or not!!
Sounds heartless and I empathise; your heart must really have sunk. Good information for the rest of us though. I did ring the SL line for advice as to how long it was possible to place an additional order to be told it was right up the deadline of inputting your current one. Guess they have to draw the line somewhere because of how the prices go up and down.
Hopefully, by your posting and all your hassle, the rest of us will be better informed so - realise it's cold comfort but - thanks!:oMake the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I've had more dealings with my ASM as she lives closer, and I like her she is currently on Maternity Leave, so there is another Areas ASM in charge atm, she seems to be just as good!
Good feedback CJD; just wondering, did you apply via Avon's website and/or sign up direct with your (now invisible) SL?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Seen the postie though (forgotten his name, doh!):D
Planning to get my brochures ready this weekend in advance for a change. Always plan this but end up at silly o'clock still packing customers bags and writing up order forms. Will do a newsletter tonight then I know that's all done. My order is showing as all in stock for a change so hopefully happy customers next week. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Thanks, MM; yes, I did comment on the other thread with my own personal recommendations re. my favourite Avon products but - again - as far as I was concerned it was an honest thread, based on our personal experience of the products we've tried. (There are soooooo many Avon products I defy anyone to have tried them all!) In my mind, being honest about the fact that I am a rep/SL would just help others decide for themselves whether it was a sales pitch or honest advice - yes/no? Wouldn't the MSE Avon threads be somehow 'less honest' if I purported to just be a customer?
On reflection, think you've hit the nail on the head though.... it's probably because of the recommendations thread. Did everyone else, who's had their signature deleted, comment on the recommendations thread?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

They do allow the Avon thread provided there is no advertising, buying or selling on the thread or via private message and I suggest you read the Forum Rules about recruiting as well.

I suggest you take this up with forumteam@ moneysavingexpert.com rather than argue the point on the thread as they are the people who can answer your questions.0
