  • MrsTine - Have ordered one from Avon online. Didnt say it was out of stock so we will see. She also wanted the Kristen bag so I bumped the order upto £20 and had a code for free delivery. Ok I've missed out on my commission but it has kept a regular customer very happy :)

either magix cashmere.... or the mineral powder i think.

I used the mousse and switched the the powder when the discontinued it.

Never used the cashmere foundation but the mousse was a silky soft finish so id assume the cashmere is similar finish??

Jackie Tyson raves about this one on all her videos so a good one to recommend I would reckon

Mini - no I didn't hun - and I got told off for offering so someone grassed me up to the powers that be too

If you can get it from the online shop I would as my order still has a red cross by it... am almost tempted to order one from the website for just in case the one I ordered doesn't come...

It's not the first time I have seen it. :(

At the end of the day MSE has those rules for a reason, there ARE weirdos out there who take advantage, etc. and we know there are lurkers on every sites. It could have been another BG......

And that person who grassed no doubt goes around all the threads doing the same thing.

This is why I refer to the Facebook thread, even if it is not discontinued items we want. What we post there, is our business.

Yes, that describes the finish of it very well indeed. As you blend it it feels quite silky, and blends really nicely. Advise your customer to blend realy well around the nose, chin and eyes though as it can gather a little in any fine lines otherwise.

  • I am beginning to think I did a good thing getting out when I did, although it was down to ill health.

The Returns System has always been a minefield and despite numerous changes, mostly for the better a number of reps just couldn't get to grips with it. I was always in trouble for spending too much time on 1st 3 appointments with a new rep, but it always paid off. Sales Leaders must find the same problems, but a litlle bit of extra help in the beginning means less help further down the line. Good reps are the ones that have had good training.

Sounds like you are doing a great job, I could have done with a few more like you. It will certainly pay off in the long run.

My Area's mantra was 'anywhere, anytime, always, ask'. I could be used for a number of tasks, but was particularly useful for new reps.

My own one was 'if at first you don't succeed, try, try again'. Sounds like yours too.

Thanks, yes, I like a target and don't like to be beaten. Equally, seems to me that Avon could do with a bit of guidance themselves unless it really is their intention to 'T' reps off around Christmas/New Year. Am used to admin work (bit of a stickler too) so comes as second nature to check my paperwork - also tell my team to work out what they owe Avon and pay them that irrespective of what Avon claim is owed..... Sooner or later Avon 'rectify their errors'.

Have now lost count of the no. of accounting problems on my team members' orders - from Manager Orders in Autumn to recharges in December (yes, the weather was bad but come on.... additional invoiced sales, albeit eroneously, in the run up to the year-end..... hardly rocket science to figure out that one ;)) and Avon further aggravating those problems with the quickie campaigns.

Got to admit I am very 'hands on' (am often told by those 'higher up' that I'm 'too hands on' but each to their own); really don't see the point in recruiting a new rep and then forgetting about them once they've put their first order in. Having said that am always happy to help anyone - whether they're on my team or not and, as you say, it usually pays off in the long run.

PS: Hope it was just a little blip in your health and you're AOK now.

PPS: Sorry for the long post.....:o

  • im in the manchester area. tried connect bt it wouldnt let me contact reps

That's strange.... my understanding was that that was one of the prime reasons Avon Connects was set up i.e. so retail customers could contact their local rep and/or people wanting to be reps could find a good upline manager easily? Hmmm.... Good feedback; might be a good idea for you to email Avon to that effect?
