Money Maker - I know it's risk-free but I feel a bit responsible now...
I'm presuming you've got a lot more experience than me, though. Have you had success with MMs in the past? I'm going to do the reduced price as well. Going to do a newsletter for the first time to highlight it.
Also, I sold 3 Solutions vibrating roll-on things without doing anything to promote them (it might have been the back-cover coverage that helped sell those). Wished I'd gone for the MM that time...
It's fine, don't normally sell many premium fragrances but if I'm doing an offer I prefer to have a few in and make a little profit rather than need to order them in and make just £1! Probably end up sending them all back but samples are half price in HT7 so I will be promoting with those. Can't go wrong really with the MM as you can return for full credit.
I have been avonning for a few years but a lot depends on your own customers. Most of mine are in the 35-60 age group and tend to stick to similar buying patterns. I do have a few that love to try anything new (and rarely return things) with a couple of newbies who seem to like anew/jewellery at the mo so it's all a bit of a wild card:D
Well done on the vibrating things - I didn't do the MM in the end which was just as well as I had no interest!
Am trying to do a promotion each campaign, perhaps a special purchase price or freebie on min spend. Freebies work out more expensive, though, as I get them for customers who forget to add them to the order, too. I have fewer customers but generally high spenders so although that sounds good, if one doesn't order in a campaign then it affects my order value by quite a bit.
Will see how these perfumes go - I often find avons fragrances are quite 'samey' or smell of cardboard (something to do with the book page I expect). Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Hey ladies, how are you all? Just to let you know... If you have lots of avon smart start freebies hanging around, (as in demo bags etc) that you really havent got a use for, its DEFFINATELY worth putting on said well know auction site... Ive sold my demo bag with approx 25 samples for £18.50 (inc postage) and my flexi folder with a selection of stationary (brochure bags, order forms, paper bags, 2 fullsized products(that i got v cheap) calling cards, returns book, calling book) for £21.50 inc postage!! Okay there were some fees involved too but £40 for that little lot that i have no use for any more... FAB!!!
I bought my rep bag off said site came with a load of samples all for around £5 including postage :j0 -
LOL I never seems to spot any Avon bargains on fleabay... probably I'm not looking hard enough but those items I'm interested in I can either get cheaper from Avon or the postage make them uneconomical, and as for selling it's rare that I have anything that I would even break even on to flog on there... bah humbug!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Hi everyone, I have just been reading this thread.
I was approached buy an Avon Slaes Leader last week and she came to my house etc and talked me through everything, i signed up n she left me 20 brocures to give out, but my territory only has 16 houses.
im scared i might not be able to get this minimum order of £78 for my first time, and so i'm worried if Avon will let me do it again if not.
Does anyone know the answer and can someone please help me.
I'm stuck in a rut0 -

Thinks connect is the best way, although that doesn't always show your nearest rep. Whereabouts in the country are you ?0 -

Did you ask her if there was any more territory available - or have you asked friends and family if they want to see a book?
If you are less than £78 Avon will let you carry on, but you just wont have any discount on the brochure prices.
Don't worry0 -

Don't worry! Start by contacting your ASM (Area Sales Manager) - and ask them for more territory! I was initially allocated 20 "houses" which turned out to be small business unites (1-2 man bands like garages and engineering set ups... not even a receptionist!) so I asked for different territory which I got - 100 houses - unfortunately not much better as it's just about the busiest through road round here and they get SO much junk mail! So 40% of them don't even want the book
Just ask your ASM (not your sales leader!) for more territory and also go and look for customersSpeak to friends and family, any parent groups, maybe you can leave a book at the doctors surgery, dentist, laundrette?
And even if you don't hit MOV they won't stop you doing Avon - you just won't earn your commission - so if you're close it could be worth you ordering a few bits from Hello Tomorrow to hit your target to get your commission?DFW Nerd #025DFW no more!
