A list of items from 'your stock box' attached to the front of a brochure is always a good idea when you are re-canvassing, as ex-customers may see something they used to buy on that list. Also take a few items out with you, I always used to ask for an 'egg cup', dispense a small amount of bubble bath into it and then wait. Bubble bath sales were always increased, once tried it becomes an every day best seller.
Another good way of getting rid of excess stock is to host an 'an Avon Party'. When I was a Manager I used to recruit Reps and Sales Leaders on this basis, not everybody has the time, enthusiasm or even the territory available to go door to door. You can host a party for customers/potential customers, if you are happy to invite strangers into your home. Avon used to produce Invites, etc. not sure if they still do, as I have been left a couple of years now. I may have some still with all my surplus stock, along with some hints and tips leaflets, if anyone is interested.
Good tip; not heard the egg cup one before. Any/all hints/tips very well received.... Thanks. :T
PS: My 'Bargain/Stock Box' is so big, if I listed it all you wouldn't be able to see the brochure ..... am thinking of having a 'Clearance Sale' just to clear it (hopefully).Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Apologies, been AWOL for a few days so missed a bit by the looks of it. Johanne - hope you're on the mend now? Take care of yourself before worrying about Avon stuff won't you.
Interesting seeing how other people cover their territory, not least as I've just adjusted the way I deal with mine. I have 151 houses on territory (about 30 of which are "not interested's") and around 10 F&F too. I order 60 books each campaign. I separate out a book for myself when they arrive, plus 2 for Elliebee and 2 for my OH to take into his work. The other 55 then go straight out to the territory, usually the day after I submit my order for the previous campaign, which is a Thursday. By the time I have skipped dropping books to the not interesteds, plus anyone who has an order for delivery when the courier's been, I get around about the first 100 houses in the first week of the campaign. I print slips to go inside the bags saying which day I will collect - normally a Sunday at the moment as I find sticking to one day makes life easier. Using this time around as an example, those first books got collected back (mostly) on Sunday, and I sorted them to go back out today, when I also have my delivery to put out. Did as many order deliveries as I could, with the books in the bags of course, and then dropped the remaining books to another load of houses. Next week I will repeat the exercise collecting back in on Sunday, and dropping books to the final 16 houses next Tuesday for collection the following Sunday.
In "Other news" lol - I managed to get to the top level on my Smart Start which was a surprise, after my terrible post-christmas campaign I had given up on it, so when I found the black vanity bag in my box earlier and saw the demonstration bag on the top I was wondering what on earth they'd sent me! :rotfl: Also, I've just started using the Reversalist Sterling Night Emulsion and I have to say that after just three nights I am surprised how impressed I am with it. The Solutions Vibes MM didn't go well - of the four I ordered I suspect I will be sending three back! I did get an order for one of them, which I have sold to the customer for £6 so double what it cost me, but in spite of leaflet dropping customers with the "special offer" price I didn't get anyone else interested.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

You can only return goods at the price you were actually invoiced. You can, however, search for credits by description rather than by invoiceMake the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I have seen Avon items at a Car Boot Sale, when I questioned the seller she said ' I am no longer a rep and a have a large stock to get rid of'. Fair comment, having done Avon for 30 years, I also have a large stock.
The only problem I can see with 'taking orders' is that you don't know these people, may never see them again and could be left with a lot of returns. Sorry to be so negative, but have seen so many things over the years and so many people give up over the returns issues.
Hi TD, unless the Car Boot Sale is a very regular venue then my reference to 'taking orders' was really meant just as a coverHave never done one myself but certainly know one rep, who sells regularly in this way. Guess, as ever, it comes down to 'what the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve'.
As for bending the rules, seems to me that is now quite commonplace - by Avon employees/Managers as well as us self-employed.
Am interested in your comment that people give up over the returns issue.... in my book it's no hardship to do a bit of paperwork to return goods and provided you apply for credit before your invoice falls due then really don't see the problem. In fact, sometimes there are definite advantages.....Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

An ex colleague of mine told me she gave up doing Avon because of returns. She returned items, paid her bill and then found she owed avon money, she got very upset and gave up.
This is what happens. Especially because of recharges. People who are not clearly explained how the credits system works and how to account for the money that should be credited to you account, and what happens if you don't return on time, etc, etc.
End up owing money and give up, as they are losing more money then they make.0 -
MC, you are the lady in the know, can you find out how this affects F&F only reps:
just seen from my ASM
Please take note some very important information that will be taking effect in Campaign 9
Avon will be charging a delivery charge of £2.50 for all orders under £10. This will mean that you will no longer after Campaign 8 be able to just order a brochure !!!!0 -
I still have one left from the MM, I keep flagging the page in the book. I noticed that a customer had ordered it this time and then crossed it out!

So on the topic of perfumes, which out of the three Reese Witherspoon ones do you all like the best? I really love the Laugh having "wrist rubbed" in HT but I had a spray of Live yesterday from my ASM and am now loving that too. Oooh...which to buy???Everyone loves a bargain :beer:0 -
Have spent the evening checking out iAvonuk on Youtube. Some really good videos on there of people using Avon products (and some not so good ones!). Have put a few on my Facebook as I thought it may attract a few more customers if they can see how to use them. Just thought this may help others with a FB profile. Here's a link to one so you can find iAvonUK: http://www.youtube.com/user/iAvonUK#p/f/5/XJ1p1Kb5u1A
They all rave about the SuperShock Gel Eyeliner just like I do:cool:
Everyone loves a bargain :beer:0
