I had the issue with the duff code, followed by everything except AVLE having gone by the time I'd actually been sent a code that could work - bit miffed as I'd added something else to my basket but been stalled at the checkout previously (while logged into their system) - I did get the order for AVLE to go through though.

I suppose it was equally unfair for those people at work who don't have access to whichever email account they had registered - but being around for the duff code first,so having had the potential to pick anything from the list barring Play's error was quite galling.

Can't really complain though - I've done quite well from Play lately with this and the Daily Star voucher (I do sometimes read the Indy and I've bought things from Play too! Can't say the same with The Star though...).

This is a bit of a disappointment for a lot of people. However I'm concerned that some people are really angry. Someone somewhere made a mistake and people didn't get the FREE DVD they wanted even though a lot of them weren't even entitled to it. Before anyone decides to complain to Play.com or the Independant, please think this is probably a human error, is your free DVD that you may or may not have been entitled to worth someone's job?

I got my two e-mails, one dodgy one with a code that worked. There was only one choice of DVD but luckily for me AVLE was one on my wishlist so it saved me £5.99, thanks the the OP. What other DDs did people get?

I got AVLE too - and I had a choice at that point! I'm concerned that it's utterly rubbish, now that so many people are so cross at getting it (Not that I blame them - I know they probably wanted a choice). Still it's a free DVD, and I have wanted to see it for a while!

At the end of the day it was a Free DVD. Therefore you could not complain as its something for nothing.

Only people that actually brought the paper and collected the codes in the true nature of the offer are morally entitled to the DVD. Everybody else that either got the codes off this site or another site can't really complain. I admit that i got the codes from this site and therefore i would never complain if didn't get the DVD or the one i wanted

Regardless of the T&C,people are just greedy and expect the world owes them somthing. IT A FREEBIE AND THEREFORE DON'T BE SURPRISED IF YOU DON'T GET IT

Can someone please tell me on play when you go into your orders, it normally says processing, posted etc. My order for my dvd is saying charged Does this mean they are going to charge me for it? If so i will cancel the order.
When i placed it yesterday and added the code it took the full price off, but with it now saying charged, i am not so sure.

I think it means it has been paid for by the voucher so goes into the "charged" state but has not dispatched yet.
