  • Wow. That's great !! What a result from the e-ba sales. THat'll almost get rid of your overdraft and if you are lucky you'll get some more towards it too. You can do this easily and get a nice fresh start. JUst need to be focused and use the money to clear the debt and not fritter it away. I took out a credit union loan when I first cam on here as I had a holiday booked. When I cam back from hols I won £500 on the online bingo and then another £500 on a survey site and managed to pay it off immediately. What a pity I couldn't have just spent it lol.

I lost 2lb this week. Obviously a couple of the ones I lost during the week went back on, but I am pleased with 2. It's a start. I'm going to try for another 2 next week :)

Well done on the 2lbs thats fab! I have just got back from the gym and weighed in - loss of 2.5lbs - which was more than I was expecting cos I only started the gym on Thursday so just shows that eating right really does help!

I've come from a fussy eater to "I'll try anything once" within a matter of 3 weeks!! On friday when I went out for a meal I opted for scampi and a side salad I actually ate a bowl of lettuce for the first time in my life!! I never used to eat veg and today I went to tescos and bought a fridge full! Only thing is it cost £68 when my budget is set for £35! All that I bought will definately last two weeks though so hopefully see the benefit in the long run!

Ebay sales ended at £357.99 and I sold something else on gumtree for £40 so grand total this weekend of £397.99!!!

Unfortunately it gets split with HM so just under £200 each! So pleased though.

Had a really fab few days and spirits are up!

For a start I've spent the last few days having chats with the guy I like, it wont go anywhere, I know that, but its a nice confidence booster and makes my day a whole lot better!

Still another £100 to collect from ebay sales but apart from that will be spending tomorrow packaging as many parcels as I can physically carry to the post office :D

Apart from that a rather dull day - Just tidied up a bit (filled the paper bin again!!) and gym again this evening (3rd night in a row!) Will be taking a day off tomorrow as I made myself a bit ill plus swimming on top of it all yesterday!

NSD for me (which feels rare these days) :T Tomorrow definately won't be after my trip to the post office, but not technically a spend since lovely ebay buyers have paid for their postage :D

    Hope you are all well

Also well done with the 2.5lbs loss. I haven't lost anything this week (the toffee crisp didn't help I'm sure :o). I'm back on the straight and narrow tomorrow!
    Total debt at LBM £26k+
    Total debt now £16,494.40
    Tesco CC 11/2/11 Total - £1,387.20 - Now £0
  • Brilliant results for e-bay. £200 nearly to come off a debt!! Excellent

Just watched the biggest loser, those contestants make me slim [i dont have much to lose but its still hard], may try those meal replacements for a change that the show advertises. Also popped into sainsburys to look at their clothes and they have started to put out bikinis, swimwear and holiday clothes, so thats an incentive if ever i need one.

thanks all - unfortunately Ive been reminded that the ebay money is to replace holiday money that was taken out to pay landlord opps. Have no choice on this as we still need to find £3000 by May/June!! Will be phoning the bank to see if we can make an arrangement to pay the overdraft off - its just one of those little things that need doing in a long line of "jobs"

Amber - I LOVE biggest loser - watch the British, American and Australian versions and really give me the boost I need - I kind of work my exercise based on their methods (have my own last chance workout haha) Another good thing Ive learnt this week is to look up weight loss journals on youtube - filled with people recording their own weight loss, feels nice to see other people going through the same ups and downs and leaves me feeling like I want to work out more! Have found 2 bikinis in my drawers that Im desperate to wear on this holiday so now I have a goal physically in my hands and can see how much work I need to do! Bit random but my pjs have got too big for me!! They were a christmas present and on christmas day barely fit but now Im having to use the drawstring to hold them up!!

Talking to this guy really helps me, gives me a focus - just wish I was under his radar but oh well need to pick myself up from that one!

    Just a quick update today.

My familys cat had to get her tumour removed today, a very stressful day for everyone. She still had swollen glands etc so she had to get bloods done to make sure she was well enough to go under - thankfully she was. The whole day just seemed very long, just waiting for news or waiting to pick her up.

Went to town and posted the first of the ebay stuff and have another 15 ready for tomorrow, and had a few other things my mum needed to do before we picked the cat up. Her tumour has now been sent away to get tested - £60 - which I have given my mum to get done, think shes paid out enough for the operation alone! Will get results back next week. Poor wee thing was still very groggy and just needs to have a close eye kept on her tonight, fully she will make a full recovery though.

Came home and ordered indian takeaway (naughty I know!) from one of my fav restaurants. Still using the "bowl" method instead of a plate and so only ate half a portion when I know I would have eaten the lot only a matter of weeks ago! That was my only spend today.

Having a bit of rubbish time with the guy I like, maybe looking into things the wrong way but looks like the girl he (I assume) likes has knocked him back - only guessing from online comments so could have wrong end of the stick. Would love to think that would give me a chance but I know he would never go for me - just an emotional struggle none the less!

Took a day off from gym to rest my stomach which feels like a bus has drove into the side of me - the sheer pain from just moving or stretching is crazy, but the buzz I get after a session or when I weigh myself is all worth it! Heading again tomorrow morning and hoping this will also help clear my head. Love life is the perfect excuse for me to start spending and comfort eating - any tips on this (other than slapping myself silly) would be appreciated!!

Hope you all had a better day than me!!
