    Just me :)

Did a lot of nothing today!

Hardly slept lastnight so had a lie in. HM was up from before 9am, I could hear her shouting round the house about it being her birthday (such a big kid lol) and then my great granny phoned at 10am to wish her happy birthday, but of course when no one answers the house phone she rings my mobile so I had no choice but to get up! Made HM her breakfast in bed, but really couldnt be bothered eating anything.

Literally stayed in bed watching tv until 4pm! Wr decided to cancel the birthday dinner as the cat was "in hiding" under the bed, shes stopped using her litter tray and only eating because my mum put her food bowl beside her under bed. Even my dad (who is extremely laid back) aparently went up to chat to her on the floor today! Decided to hold off until tomorrow for the dinner, just to see if the cat gets any better. Phoned vet and he said it sounds like shes in alot of pain and wanted to give her morphine but obviously with her not even moving around the house he said theres no way of getting her down to the clinic so he would have to cal out - £70 just for his home call out fee and the morphine injection would be extra on top of that!! So when my dad came round tonight I gave him my last £80 to make sure they have the money should they need to call him between now and tomorrow.

Decided last minute to take HM out for a quiet meal anyway and let my parents stay and watch the cat, they wouldnt have enjoyed the meal anyway being constantly worried about her. So we headed to the meal as planned and explained to the owner why we had to cancel the party but promised we would arrange another night out soon. Both of us had a 3 course meal each and 2 drinks each. My lovely ex boss (the owner) gave us all our drinks on the house and free deserts - so the whole thing cost us £35!! couldnt believe the savings we made, especially when we both had steak for our main!

Went then to the cinema and decided as a special treat to get VIP seats - an extra £2 but they are far bigger and more comfy and they are leather rocking chairs right at the back of the screen in our own cordend off area was great :T what made it even funnier was watching HM walk up the flight of stairs after having 2 large cocktails!! Have to say the film 127 hours is epic - would happily go and watch it again and that NEVER happens with me, I watch a film once, forget about it and move on with life, but no I would definately sit through that again!!

Got a great text message during the film to be told when mum went to make supper the cat climbed out from under the bed, jumped into mums warm comfy spot on the bed and began washing herself! She sent me a pic and was aparently singing she was that happy lol. Its a small step but a huge relief to be able to finally see her face today!! She even demanded a kiss from mum so perhaps feeling a little less sore now! I will cross my fingers. Looked up her condition online, wish I didnt, her life expectancy is anything from 8 weeks to 3 years - providing we can get her radiotherapy - bad news being the nearest vets offering radiotherapy is in Glasgow - what a joke that theres not 1 vet in the whole of Ireland and Northern Ireland to offer this service!!

Theres so much I could say on this subject, so many things the vet admitted to doing wrong on the phone today and I could scream at the idiot until Im blue in the face but it wont make a difference. I will be demanding answers as to his basic skills of messing up the operation in the first place though!

Onto other good news though - HM loved her birthday present - got her a day spa experience in a local new spa to us, Indian head massage, neck and shoulder massage, full back massage and a wash and blow dry for her hair - whole thing is around 2.5 hours long. Think she plans on using it just before our big holiday so will at least get her into the holiday spirit before we go :T

Planning on going shopping tomorrow afternoon as I desperately need new tops for my new job starting on Monday, since losing just over 2 stone so far hardly any of my clothes fit at the minute - you can get away with the baggy look at home but doesnt look so good in smart office wear! After that depending on how the cat is we might be meeting up for dinner with the family, if not we will have to go round to my parents and do the whole birthday cake - I went and got it personalised this year instead of the usual tescos cake, and cost an arm and a leg so want her to enjoy it - but the ones who will enjoy it the most will be my neice and nephew - nice sugar fix right there!! Was in the right frame of mind when I order it though, only got a 1 layer cake (typical standard cake in the bakery is a double layer but they made expection when I told them about my weight loss!) and its the smallest possible cake that they offer. Will only take 1 slice and offer the rest to my mum to give to the kids.

Dont know why Im worried, have completely messed up the diet this weekend - and Im dreading the scales tomorrow - should really learn to take my stress out on the cross trainer not the chinese takeaways etc. Another learning curve this week!

I will end this on a lighter note - met the guy on Friday who bought an item of mine on gumtree, we ended up chatting for quite a while then he gave me his number  first time in my life thats ever happend

  • Sorry to hear about your cat. We had a rabbit and she was part of the family as well. She died a few months back and we were all devastated. DD and I sat up with her all night until she died at 3 am. Was really traumatic. Still miss her. I am a person who swore that I would never have pets as I dont really like animals. Well hey ho was I wrong. I loved her to bits. She was such a character. The window cleaner came to the door one night for his money and the conversation went like this ;
Win cle: You have a rabbit?
    me: Yes
    win cle: She plays football?
    Me: Yes
Win cle: I thought I was seeing things

I was PMSL as she used to always run around the garden with a big stripey ball and nudge it with her nose.He was incredulous that she was doing this. We were used to it :rotfl:.I doubt that after the hamster dies that we will get anything else as I cannot handle the drama when they die. I hope your cat gets better soon xx

Thanks MIT - its been a very horrible week and every time I see a family member they burst out crying and then I cry!!

The hardest part was going out for a meal lastnight and explaining to one of the managers at the restaurant and she just laughed!! Said we were stupid and that my HM should be really p***ed off that we had to cancel the dinner over a cat and a vet!! Cant tell you how much I wanted to punch her! Thankfully the owner was far more understanding!

Finally went for the birthday meal tonight after a failed attempt at booking our favourite Sunday hang out (who just happen to do lovely roast dinners) I phoned 7 times, decided not to book a table and just go - we usually get seated quickly anyway - but when we got there they were shut!! no wonder they werent answering the phone! So went for the alternative and had a good time, embarrased HM as much as I could with the cake and she seemed very pleased (she must have been very pleased she came home and cleaned all of downstairs while I was having a shower!! Should buy cake more often!)

Went for a bit of shopping today for some new tops for starting my job tomorrow - found a few things but nothing really of interest other than a LOVELY shirt from next but wasnt sure about spending £25 on it, I have a £10 voucher for my first online order so will order it online instead :D

Will update tomorrow after my first day at work if I manage to come home in one peice!!

thanks MIT had a good day (well as good as they get when it comes to working!) a whole day of form filling - personal details etc etc etc.

Best part of my day was when the girls in my group called my ex and his "new workmates" a k**b hahahaha. The rude git said hello in the morning, then turned his back on me to continue talking to someone else, only turned round to ask how I came to work and very nearly had the cheek to ask for a lift - but he has no chance, I get a lift from my HM who hates him and under no uncertain terms would she ever let him in the car - plus why should I allow him to use him like that!

I thought there was a blonde in his group that he would be attracted too but by lunchtime she was doing his head in hahahaha :T

Apart from that, really struggled with the early start - hard to adjust from being self employed and getting up late to suddenly waking up at 6.30!!

Went to tescos at just the right time tonight and went to the butchers dept. at the right time - got 4 big bags of mince, 12 pork and apple burgers and 2 big sirloin steaks all for £8!! shame I managed to spend another £50 on top of that!!

Got the dreaded tax return to do tonight - completely skipped my mind if Im honest and now in a mild panic as Im not sure if I even saved my password!!

Hoping to spend the rest of the week on NSD so thats my first mini challenge!!

    thanks MIT and Palema.

Realised its better not to come across desperate with him, just makes me look bad, and TBH I can live without him if thats how he plans on continuously treating me, its not the first time hes brushed me off in so many months, including at his own sisters wedding which I did for free (a £1,000 package no less!!) so now its a case of focusing on myself, my weight loss and my savings and make him realise whats he has lost out on - including this precious lift in the morning which he is now begging people for on FB as he cant afford the bus until pay day! Maybe be will rethink how he treats me - he forgets if nothing else I will have a car in a few months and he will still be on the bus!

Had to also laugh when a couple of people from my group claimed to be losing weight just like me, but was sitting eating curry, drinking coke and has so far not lost weight - their jaw near hit the ground when I told them what Ive done so far!

Havent weighed myself yet because I only remember after Ive eaten and its the worse time to weigh in so will do a "late" weigh in in the morning before work if I can remember - I know I havent lost anything but hope I havent put on much!!

very nearly had a NSD until vodafone switched my phone off for not paying a bill - so theres £85 gone - just have £100 left for the two of us for the next 3 weeks!! Scary but Im sure we will manage, trying to do as many NSDs as possible.

Have £300 going into the account from paypal once I can get the new account sorted for it to go into, but it really has to go back into the account for the holiday fund! Still need £3500 so the £300 is more than needed!

Looking forward to getting my first pay, in 3 weeks, at least then I know that money worries will soon be gone and it will just be heads down for savings!

Have asked HM to give the ex a lift to work tomorrow, he badly needs a lift as he cant afford bus. My kind, helping nature said to help the bloke out but only for tomorrow - if he is rude or ignores me he can kiss his lift (and his job) goodbye!

Just about adjusting to the early mornings now and rather look foward to work which is nice, the training is boring but will be worth it in the end!

Hoping for NSD for the rest of the week now :T

Well a very busy few days.

Can't believe tomorrow is Friday already! Almost completed first week of my new job, and still enjoying it so there's a first! Got a nice exam to look forward to tomorrow, and a final exam on Tuesday which aparently determines if we get kept on or not - would be shocked if they fired you for failing a test - surely thats not in the contract!!

Already starting to plan for a group of us to go out on our first payday so that will be something to look forward to anyway!

Have given ex a lift to and from work a few days ago, HM said no longer than the one day as they dont get on, which was ok - but being kind hearted I didnt want to say "HM hates you so cant give you a lift" so I said that she was working early and couldnt give a lift. He then just so happens today of all bloody days to be late getting in himself (his bus usually has him there ridiculously early) and saw my mate drive me in, so he asked for a lift home. I text mate and she said, well he did see me and waved so for today yes. So as we are both in different teams we usually finish at a few minutes difference so we usually meet outside. I stood there for 30 mins in the cold, text twice heard nothing and so had to go on. Got stuck in traffic for waiting so long and hitting the tea time rush! Finally email him tonight to be told that his mum picked him up early - nothing like sending a wee text to let me know - cheers!! :T so not a great end to the working day for me anyway!!

Didnt start great either, I have been vomitting since last night, and was sick again at 7.40am - literally cleaned up the bowl, put hair striaghtners on and acted like nothing happend lol, HM thought I was mad, but cant miss training - you miss one day and your completely out of the loop!!

Not doing great on the NSD for some reason, although I think going from a high expense lifestyle to zero just doesnt work for me, so instead I am setting myself a small budget for the week to allow for coffee in work, or the odd unexpected bill etc. and hopefully decrease the weekly budget until I can get myself right down and then set mini challenges for mini NSD.

    Will learn eventually!!
