hey MIT - thanks for the kick up the bum lol.

Finally went live on the floor yesterday at work, managed to take 2 calls before running off to the loo, vomitting and then almost fainting - the joys of being sick!!

Had went to the doctors on Friday to see why Ive been so ill for the last 2 weeks, he thought it was maybe something to do with my stomach wall from the last bug I had at the beginning of January and put me on tablets. He also run more blood tests to see how my anemia was. Obviously when I took ill in work yesterday the new manager only had to take one look at me before telling me to go home. Phoned the doctor this morning and my blood results came back, my anemia is back  but I can't start the course of iron tablets until I've stopped being sick  so now Im on 2 sets of tablets for the sickness, paracetamol every 4 hours cos my body cant regulate my own temperature at the minute and if all this fails by Friday I have to go back and see him again for "further investigation" Have a feeling this will involve a camera, and have a feeling I wont like it!

In the meantime Im now worrying about work, which isn't helping - but its bad enough that I went on the phones yesterday not having a clue what I was doing, messing up the only 2 calls I took, now to miss a day and a half - will go back tomorrow and ask for additional coaching - the added stress of jumping on a phone to a job I dont have a clue about really isnt doing my health much good either - can only hope the company, and my manager will be understanding enough to let me buddy up tomorrow so I get a better feel for the job instead of ruining every customers experience who phone up! I will worry about that tomorrow. If I don't get the extra support I need I'm worried I will end up just walking out, which I can't really afford to do but ave to weigh up is my health worth the risk!

HM couldn't get crisis loan yesterday as she only officially signs back on today, but did manage to send my forms in so at least will be getting processed from yesterday. She can apply for the crisis loan today once shes had her intial sign on and the lady seemed very nice and willing to help us get the most from our money! Have a lady calling in 10 minutes wanting to buy a wedding album I had online for sale so hopefully we will be £40 better off by this afternoon. Have also put my electric guitar up for sale, but no takers at the minute which is a shame cos it would be an instant boost in money for us! Have a few more things to list up locally today so fingers crossed something sells!

My brothers friend gave us £15 lastnight to drop them into town, was enough to put £10 in the diesel and £5 on the electric which is just as well really because as of yesterday we had no diesel in the car, no gas, no electric, min. amount of food and no money to pay for anything! Have had to raid our pound box from last week - we have only £20 in there now which Im gutted about because we did have nearly £70 at the start of the year :( but needs must!

Decided to look at a long term career option lastnight - Im 21 and seem to want to join a different career every week! I need to focus on one career and stick to it - theres plenty of other 21 year olds that know exactly what they want to do and just go for it. I guess my problem was I focused all of my studies and college courses on music, yeh sure some people get into the charts by following their dream but can't imagine it happening to me which is why Ive jumped from call centre to call centre - so time to focus and concentrate on a steady career. Just listing down all the things I love and what I could make a career from - so applied at Thomas Cook today - doubt I get in but at least its a start!

  • go onto the careers office site and they have a questionnaire where you can answer about all the htings you enjoy doing and hate doing etc. It will then match you up to jobs. Quite interesting. My dd did it recently and ithas given her some food for thought. Hope you feel better soon.

thanks for mentioning the site MIT was interesting to see the results! Definately going to stick to something along the travel and tourism route - it came up in the results and I just so happend to find a call centre job for a travel agent, I know its call centre, the one thing Im trying to get out of but at least I would be in the right industry, so still an improvement.

Have been off the whole week with this anaemia, on 4 types of medication to try and get my body at least back to normal functioning mode! Have managed to stay awake all day today which is a first all week so maybe iron tablets are starting to work already (although very tired at the minute so going for a nap after Ive wrote this!) Going back to work on Monday, but dreading it - Ive missed the whole "nesting period" on the floor on live phones and concentration has gone so far out the window I could barely describe what a broadband box looks like never mind how to fix one! Hope they will take my health into consideration and get a resolution! Funniest thing is they phoned me today (recruitment dept) looking for an extra reference as my lovel rev. refused to give a reference over the phone!! (old fashioned git!) and I had to "remind" them that I was off at the minute :rotfl: My boss hasn't even bothered to phone this week either, even though they say they will phone to see how you are, and he was there when I nearly fainted so thought they would have been keen to see what the results said - obviously not! Makes me feel worse though because I dont know what they are thinking!!

Anywayyyyyyyy - had far too much time on my hands today so sat and broke down our holiday costs so far, whats been paid, whats in a savings account and what Ive saved this week in cash to give me a proper total for the holiday. I will update at the end of every week on how the holiday savings are going as its the only way Im going to remind myself of the little time I have to save!!

Last Weeks Total - £1,650 (est. from an old spreadsheet)

    This Weeks Total - £1,806

If I can sell my beloved guitar it will bring the total over £2,000 - but with a total of £5,000 needed we are still a long way off!

Will find the energy to find a load more things to sell this weekend I hope!

Enjoy your weekend, whatever your plans may be!!

  • Free listing this weekend apparently. So get on it. Glad you are feeling better

yeh saw that, think my HM is going to do it for me this time on her account, just cant seem to find the energy even for ebay these days!

Sold a few more things today though locally (actually sold something on facebook, I have a photo album of things Im selling and update it when I can, amazing the amount of people on your friends list that just so happen to need something your selling or their friend needs it etc) so another £25 into the holiday safe upstairs. Have someone else coming round tonight to buy something else for £10

Have sold something else on my facebook. to a friend but won't get the money for that for another week - but still its £40 I know thats coming to me :)

Took some clothes back to george today, bought too many "work" clothes that are too similar so seems pointless wearing it - thats another £11 back but they put it back on the card it was paid with, will take 48 hours to go back on :( gutted cos I wanted to add the money to todays savings - oh well!

Bought a packet of weight watchers cheesey puffs today from a pound store - multipack - have to say its the first packet of cheesey puffs Ive ever eaten that dont actually taste "cheesey" no wonder they are less calories!! :rotfl:

    Well a new week!

Phoned doctors this morning as I was told I had to phone by Friday if I wasn't 100% better. Thought I'd give myself the weekend and see by today. Still not great, took neice out yesterday and lasted 10 minutes in the park before having to come home. Thankfully my neice is so well behaved and sat with me on the sofa cuddled up and watched dvds with chips! Doctor has signed me off work for a week though and more blood tests need done on Thursday - I will seriously be amazed if theres any blood left for them to take!!

Have started applying for more "health friendly" jobs one where the pressure is off if you spend 2 minutes too long in the toilet in an 8 hour shift, or that you have the ability to read something through twice incase you dont understand the first time!

My HM in the meantime, applied for a job she saw me talking about and shes been asked to interview and I havent - talk about gutted!! Have a few more applied for though so fingers crossed something comes from it!

Weighed in yesterday - was surprised to see a 2.4lb drop considering I havent been able to go to the gym in 3 weeks! Im thinking of giving up my gym membership until I am well enough again - otherwise its £35 wasted every month!! Have set myself a mini challenge to try and walk 30 minutes everday this week - even if its just a constant 30 minutes around the back garden! Would love to have lost 30lbs before the holiday in July so theres my goal!

Watching our lovely sealed pot money going up steadily - this is our holiday spending money now so need it to grow very fast!!

Going to enjoy a nice hot water bottle now and another glass of water (how your meant to drink 8 of these a day I have no idea - but in detox mode this week so have to make it happen!)

Well not a huge lot to comment on today. Being stuck in the house has become a real pain and cabin fever is really kicking in now. I just get up and wonder round the living room because I feel I cant breathe and I was in a right mood yesterday, but need to focus again today.

Started playing my guitar again yesterday for the first time in over a year, just to calm me down and give me something to do - really enjoyed it actually and I applied for a band member last week for a local wedding band - not only will it get me back into the music scene but some money to be made per wedding I attend! Fingers crossed something comes back! Would be amazing!

HM has her interview today, and starting a temp weeks work tomorrow - only for 5 days but at least its something!! Fingers crossed if she does well at this "interview" tonight then a permenant job could be looming in the next few weeks which will tie in really nicely!

On the other hand I have been shortlisted for an HR Admin job, its only a 4 month contract but knowing the company quite well they always have other temp contracts going on, plus 4 months experience in HR Admin would look well on my CV which at the minute screams out call centre work mainly - so be nice to get a better balance on admin. I completed the online test yesterday and have been told I will hear back on Wednesday or Thurday about interview, if I do well then they want me to start next week - which ties in nicely with my doctors note coming to an end. I will speak to my current employer first and see if for now they can move me to an admin role instead of on the phone because the truth of the matter is, my HM could sit and have a conversation with me and 10 minutes later I will have the exact same conversation again because I forgot weve chatted already!! It really doesnt look well to a customer on the phone when I ask them to repeat themselves 4 times!!

Have also applied for a managers job, will definately start applying for similar jobs and get back into my supervisor role that Im used to, but for the sake of money for holiday I will take any job at the minute providing my brain will allow me!

Had a bit of a fall lastnight thanks to my weak balance too - only wanted to go to the toilet and ended up twisting my ankle! Any excuse to have my feet up today lol.

HM put 10 items up at the weekend on ebay but no bids yet - still no bids on my lovely guitar either :(

Get my back pay from JSA benefit tomorrow so will look forward to paying off my mobile bill, some electric, gas, a small food shop (only essentials) and the rest going into our savings for now.

Have to ask the landlord for an updated statement of what we now owe because they still havent sent out one which we requested at the beginning on January!!

Hello all - hope you are all doing well this week!

Today has bee very much a weight focused day, I realised I have 135 days until my holiday and want to lose 35lbs before then so have to get started NOW! So I got up and had a really decent breakfast, the idea being I eat "dinner" sized portions in the morning so that by the evening I only want a small meal - aparently this is how we are meant to eat anyway but I've never even enjoyed a small breakfast never mind a big one!! Also set myself a mini challenge this week to drink nothing but water - so far so good - averaging between 4 and 5 glasses a day, horrible when your actually drinking it but certainly feel better for it!

Got my doctors letter today and hand delivered it to work - was a bit relieved to see someone anyway and gauge a reaction. Was able to mention what all was going on with me etc, even if it was only to the girls in payroll. The problem with working for such a big company is our sickline number is actually a call centre on the other side of the world so your never sure if your exact message gets to the right people! Anyway, they understood - I guess being so damn pale at the time helped! They said my manager (who I havent even met yet!) is a lovely down to earth guy and that he will probably ring in the next few days as a care call - Certainly welcome it though as it will be nice to speak to someone in the company "in charge" so I can put across my fears of returning since I missed the whole last week of training so hoping there will be extra help when I get back next week!

Have my doctors appointment tomorrow, so more poking and bloods being taken. Thankfully the actual vomitting itself has stopped but I still get a horrible feeling after I eat, every time without fail! So cant wait to get this resolved!!

On to the weight loss again - Ive decided to definately cancel my gym membership, not even so much for the health reason but for money. £35 a month on what?! I'd rather pocket the money, get my bike out of the shed and back into shape as well as taking advantage of the beautiful parks and long walks, Im going to invent my own free exercises and stop relying on a silly building which smells to high heaven of sweat!

Our landlord sent us a letter today - charging us £900!!!! A months rent plus £250 still owed. Im going to challenge this though, weve been charged a full months rent for this month when my HM is still on housing benefit - and I want to see when my last housing payment was made, and when it lasts up until - Im sure this bill is at least £250 OVER for this month alone. Plus our "errears" I believe was only £370 at the end of December and we paid £170 striaght away so only owe £200 not £250 as he has said - Im not 100% sure though so need to find the receipts first. I think it pretty unfair that we have asked time and time again for monthly invoice to keep us on track and then we receive nothing for months only to find their figures and ours dont match! I think being realistic its time to look for a new place anyway - we had trouble with our neighbours on Sunday night, playing music and singing at 4.20am, then 5 teenage kids started tormenting us through our living room window, when we ignored them they tried to break into the car so had to call the police out on Monday evening. If we can get rid of all this rubbish and find somewhere cheaper in the process then fab! Even saving as little as £50 would give us an extra £600 a year!!

Have paid off a bit more of our holiday tonight, I was going to put it on the rent when I saw this bill but somethings telling me to check all the facts before handing over the money first anyway. I have £150 for the rent which is my half on a fortnightly basis. As I now get paid fortnightly I will have another £150 when I get my sick pay next Friday, wont have money for anything else though!!

Normally news like this would drag me down but seem to starting to get on top of things - even managed to pay £20 towards my overdraft today which Ive never even tried to pay off for the last 3 years Ive had it!!:T

Have already found 2 places which I love - 1 more so than the other, its £75 cheaper per month  brand new, only problem is "no pets" but we have a wee cat, wonder if I could win the estate agent over? Any tips?

The second one is ok, good location, not as nice and only saving £25 a month but doesnt mention any exclusion!! ;)
