VODA Rep
My VODA Account ended 5 Feb 10.
I paid my last Voda Bill a few days ago by DD.
So why has Voda sent me an email:
"Your new Vodafone online bill is ready"
when they know I cannot access it online as notified a month ago.
Please dont tell me its the computer as I dont owe your computer any money!I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 -
Voda Rep - could I have an answer please?I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0

Vodafone always charge an illegitimate "early cancellation" fee of around £1. You have to call them and demand a refund (better, stop them taking it out). They are despicable in their consistent dishonesty with this (and other things) but won't put up a fight if challenged since they are breaking your contract t&c.0

Thanks MJ. As you suggested last month I challenged the fact that they were trying to charge me for the day of cancellation and they only charged me for 1-4 Feb (5 Feb canx day). As a "valued customer" - no apology. The DD was taken about 2 weeks after their approx date.
They will have trouble taking any more money by DD I have already cancelled it.I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 -
Hi,
posted this in another thread and was advised to post on here:
First time posting on these forums (or any forums really!) so firstly Hi to everyone.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar to the current 'issue' i have with Vodafone.
To cut a long story short i decided i wanted to cancel my account back in July of 2008 and so rang up to do so. i was informed i needed to pay a final bill (£24.99) and also early termination (£87.80) as the contract ran until November of that year. I did both of those things via a Visa Debit card from by bank (Lloyds) and was then told to send a letter of confirmation which i also did.
Happy, i bought a new phone and contract with O2 and all i thought was well.
I then a few months later recieved a bill that i dont even remember the amount of, something nominal like £5.00 or so. I rang them, confused, and was told i could disregard the letter as my account was closed and apologies for the inconvienience. Few months later, the same happened, same phone call, same outcome.
A further few months on I was then shocked to find a letter from a collection agency, CapQuest, who wanted payment immediatley to the sum of £80. I rang them and all they were interested in was the money, regardless of a dispute with Vodafone.
Vodafone initially refused to answer my questions, cut me off numerous times if i remember rightly and eventually i spoke to somebody who said the original letter id sent cancelling along with authorisation numbers from Vodafones system could not be found due to a change in their systems and all she could do as "goodwill" was half the bill, which i had no choice in paying.
It took me a long time to locate the original letter (luckily i had emailed it to myself at work) but upon doing so ive spoken with a few people and they all seem to be sympathetic but without any real advice about what i can do about it. There is a default on my credit score and that really bugs me as ive always kept a hold on my debts and never missed any payments and i feel this is majorly unfair.
Currently have a dispute open with Vodafone and the 'Quality Assurance' team but im being given the run around by them aswell. Speaking to people i work with has led to them saying it should go to small claims court etc but im unsure if thats the best way.
Very sorry for rambling (sure i said id cut a long story short at the start...oops)
Any advice or just someone who wants to rant with me would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks,
Si0 -

''

been with v for think about 10 yrs not sure but long time and was happy with them, sure never got a free upgrades on anything but was happy. then 1 day i got a call from v stating i was a valued customer and i could have 3 FREE payg sims for family members to make calls cheaper. and this will cost me nothing (payg sims).
not really the upgrade i wanted but would save a touch o money. end of month get text bill for 70£ phone and try see whats happening.after half hour of trying to confirm my d.o.b i was told that they were to be charged to my acount on monthly basis even though the sims were still unopened.explained situ and said no problem i'll cancel and re credit your account (not give back £ )..
next month same thing and 5 months after still same, money out of account and d.o.b and account details wrong, but they are sorry and we'll rectify.problem was every month it was diff operator so had to go through it all again.last 1 said i had to write to head office!! did get a laugh out of 1 that told me my d.o.b, only 78 ! finally get the fraudulent charges stopped but still account details wrong..only ever needed to phoned voda since the start of this but 20/30 calls later and im just letting contract run out. details still seem to be wrong..
and never accepted oor never said they were wrong but i got 20£ off 1 month 8 months after it.
i should have shouted louder, still live and learn

Glad i found this thread,
Wow where do i start i have had nothing but problems with this phone and unfortunately am not finding Vodafone very helpful to say the least.
I am now sat looking at my 4th replacement Blackberry Storm dead and refusing to charge!
I have had the phone replaced 4 times now 2 for the screen freezing and the other 2 for refusing to charge i have even bought a new battery and tried several charges to check it is the faulty phone.
I have phoned Vodafone off my landline today this must be about the 10th time (incuring a charge every phone call lasting at least 40 minutes with todays being 90 minutes long)
I am now that dissapointed at being fobbed off with a refurbed Blackberry Storm i am refusing to have another.
I have given the 2 options replace with an iPhone which as is documented everywhere is the only phone on comparion with a Blackberry Storm this would come under my contract of swapping phones after previous issues with a like for like basis or cancel my contract with no penalty as they cannot provide the service i am paying for and are not adhering to the T&Cs i again bring up the replacement of a like for like basis.
They have given me the options to change to some other selected models all when i looked into them are a downgrade from my current phone.
Everyone i talk to all seem to stick to the script they are given and i am just been passed from pillow to post totally unhappy with my phone and vodafone experience.0 -
no reply to my query on here and and on the webform after i had a reply asking me to verify information so they could know its me... just when i though vodaphone are getting better.. how cn such a large company be so bad....
