Following on from my original post 554 ,I have as yet not had a response from Vodafone, they say they will respond within 48hrs (lol) well they have'nt.
I checked this site only to find that Vodafone Company Representative advises me to contact him/her if I have had no response from Vodafone and they will look into it (again).
I followed the link provided by Vodafone Company Representative only to find myself on the same page of the Vodafone site that my original complaint was sent from (dejavu). I wonder if another 48hrs will pass before I see a response or Vodafone Company Representative again advises me to contact him/her again. More updates to this site will follow

    "

Thanks Kirsty, had a reply last night, things should now be sorted.

I also raised the question of not receiving my last two bills which I need for cash back. Reply -
"You have not received the copy of your bill as paper billing service is not active on your account. If you wish to activate this service then please get back to me with your confirmation and I will be happy to assist you further.
I've also arranged a copy of your latest bill to be sent to your address free of charge which you'll receive in 5 to 7 working days"

I did not deactivate the paper billing service, having received about 10 paper bills so far, so why did vodafone change it? Varsha is sending me the missing bills

Others have had delayed or no bills - HERE

i bought 2 x contacts on vodafone about 11 months ago for myself and my husband and have had nothing but problems with since due to very poor signal, everytime i ring to speak to someone they say its great signal we get ect but we clearly dont.

My husband has had to get another contact out and no longer uses the contact with vodafone as he needs a reliable phone with signal as he needs work work. so we are paying £40 a months for nothing?

Mine i emailed my concern about my contact and they agred to drop my monthly bill from 40 to 35, however i still cant get any signal at home, or the phone just cuts out when i am on a call?

is there anyway we can get out of our contacts now without paying the rest of line rental?? I really thought vodafone was a good signal in our area but im veyr dissapointed with the service i am getting, esp with they call me to ask how i am getting on with phone and comapny ect and i tell them how bad it is they arrr im sorry to hear this have a nice day?????
  • Try switching the phone to GSM only in the settings

They also do a thing that plugs in to the broadband router to give a mobile signal at home

They are really are a bunch of muppets- they do a thing called SURE SIGNAL

I left them a couple of years ago after 6-8 months. Waste of space
    baldly going on...
  • What can I say. I moved to vodafone from O2 taking my 2 iphones with me.
I chose the business Clarity and was told it is unlim calls, texts and data for £30 a month.
turns out it is £48 for first phone, £38 for second phone and doesn't include data! You should see my bills!
Anyway, I had insurance on the phones or so I thought. Needed to claim today and was told as I had not bought the phone through them I am not covered. Now I am furious! I told them what I am moving and everyone failed to mention to me that I am not covered. They were happy to charge me for the insurance, but now I need it I am told to get lost.
Vodafone have "kindly" offered to credit me with my insurance premiums back which equates to £20 or so. Hardly the £400 I am now going to have to shell out for a new Iphone!
How can they get away with this? I have asked for managers to call me back and still nothing. IN the meantime my business is without one of its phones.

I have also written and email on the vodafone contact us. I have emailed Guy Lawrence. God knows if anyone will actually bother to reply to me. I have yet to get a call back from anyone at vodafone and always end up chasing them. Sigh.

I am on a Sim only deal.

I take it back. I finally got through to a manager who was very nice and helpful. He sorted it all out for me fairly. Sometimes the system works I guess.

I ordered a phone and 18 month contract via the Vodafone website on 14 February 2010 and arranged for the phone to be delivered to my local store for me to collect.

The phone was delivered to the store at approx. 10am on 16 February 2010 and the email I received from Vodafone notified me that the phone would be available to collect from 1pm that day. I called into the store at 1pm and was advised by the assistant that they were waiting for an email from Vodafone authorising release of the goods. I called in again at 5pm and I was told that they still had not received the email, so could not therefore release the phone to me, and I should wait to receive a call telling me when to collect it.

This is despite me receiving an email from Vodafone saying that the goods would be available for me to collect the next working day. On both occasions when calling into the store I had sufficient identification as required in your terms and conditions. But I was never asked to produce it anyway. No problems with my credit check - the order went through fine and I got emails confirming this.

When I asked when is it likely I would get a call, she didn't know. When I asked what am I supposed to do now, she just looked at me, apologised and said there was nothing more she could do. I can't believe this apparent ineptitude. Don't Vodafone want my business?

I cannot understand why the email to the store was not received or why it was not expedited to allow me to take receipt of the phone and start using the service.

Neither can I understand why Vodafone have introduced a process (ie the ‘email’ to the store) which is ineffective and makes the customer’s experience a disappointing one.

I went straight home, wrote a letter of complaint along the lines above, and gave them notice to cancel the contract (well within the cooling off period).

I never did receive the call from the store telling me to collect my phone.
Neither have Vodafone contacted me (now a week after receiving my letter - a copy of which I sent to the store) acknowledging receipt of my letter or to confirm that the contract has been cancelled.

What worries me is that I'm going to get charged for the service which I've never accessed - how can I when I haven't even got the phone.

This really is very poor service.

  • I've just switched to Vodafone business and my SIM is still not registered. It seems that business at Vodafone only happens Monday to Friday - welcome to the brave new world of technology! As the relevant team does not work over the weekend I have now been without my business phone for the first 2 days of my Vodafone contract and have been told that nothing can be done to help me for a further 48 hours (Monday morning). This may seem a small problem to some and especially vodafone however I'm extremely angry that this is the start to a 2 year contract - FANTASTICALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!

Take my advice and cancel the contract as soon as possible. Get out while you can and switch to another provider who knows how to provide decent customer service. There are plenty out there - you don't need to put up with the clowns at Vodafone.
