I'm sorry to hear that you've not had a good first few days with Vodafone. This is not the way that we want you to feel as a new customer.

Could you let me know whether your SIM card has now been activated? If not, we would be delighted to look into this for you and ensure that your sim is all up and running. If you would like any further help, please feel free to contact us on the link that I have posted above.

  • Vodafone is an absolute JOKE! I bought the 3gs over a week ago and have no signal, no internet and I live in London. I have been given stupid advice ober the phone and have been fobbed off left right and centre. Avoid this company they are scum. Have been told no returns for store purchases. Off to the store today after being told instore yesterday that I should call the call centre, call centre said today I need to go instore and they wont give me a refund either. How can this be legal?

    Hi 2003wastheyear,

I can understand why this situation is causing you a lot of frustration.

Unfortunately, you may experience problems returning your handset to the store you purchased it from as you have had it for over seven days.

As you say, you have no coverage at all and I understand that you will not want to keep a handset that you cannot use effectively. If you would like to contact the Web Relations Team - Vodafone UK We will be more than happy to look into this for you and help you out.

(When contacting us, please quote the code WRT135 in the subject line. In the message body, please include a link to this thread and your user name. This will ensure that your message comes straight through to our team.)

I'm positive that we will be able to provide you with some help in this matter.

    Thanks,

I keep having faulty phones with Vodafone, and it drives me crazy. Last year, my N96 8GB was repaired then faulty again so Vodafone gave me a new phone with a much lower spec, although made me amend my contract with an extension (otherwise, I had to take a worse phone!). Now I've sent this away, Vodafone tried to charge me for a courtesy phone so haven't got one, then they call me to tell me my phone is back in store? Are they crazy? Cannot wait til my everlasting contract ends later this year so I can change provider. Been with them for years and all I get is sending phones away, and poor service.

  • Hi,

I have a Nokia N96 on a vodafone contract. I also have vodafone insurance.

The phone is crap in a nutshell, i had glitch free N95 which was much better.

Firstly it takes forever to open/send text messages is there any simple way to speed this up?

Secondly the backlight around the navigation key remains permantley on draining the battery like nobody's business. Whats the most efficent way of getting this fixed? I can't manage with out a phone, so would need a courtesy one at the very least.

    Secondly

I had similar issues with VF.

Magaged to get out with a lot of hassle.

Now back with Orange (I use >2000 mins a month, so go through 5-7 phones a year; and ALWAYS get insurance)
    VF- phone fails - send away, pay for replacement hire phone, get old phone back (sometimes with same fault);
    Time scale 5-14 days (min)

Orange- phone fails - call c/s - courier picks up old phone, gives me new phone (may be refurb, but fully working), don't see old phone again. New phone becomes my phone - end of issue.
Time scale - same day (if you call before 915am) or next day (even at weekends)

VF even sent me a replacement phone with crumbs in the battery case.

VF used to do the courier replacement service, but stopped it to save money :rotfl:

    Need I say more.
    baldly going on...
  • Update...
