  • Try actually reading the previous post to yours. It's not long or rocket science.

I did email them when I posted here. Nothing yet.
  • Then you would have received a reference number which is worth putting on here.

  • Lee,
I've sent you an email via the contact form. I forgot to mention MSE Forum.

For forum visibility my problem is as follows:

Started a sim only contract in September. Vodafone failed to setup the direct debit so the first bill payment was missed. This caused a block on data on the account. Direct debit problem was resolved and I was compensated for this which is great but....
Ever since that missed payment there has been a data block on my account which nobody at Vodafone customer services has been able to remove. So here we are 8 weeks later and still no mobile data. I've tried going through Online chat, phone calls and the store and no one can help resolve the issue.
I'm hoping there's someone somewhere deep inside the Vodafone machine that is able to help?

    Hi Everyone,

I've been a Vodafone customer for many years with no problems at all until September this year, when I received a cheeky text telling me I'd missed a payment and I'd to either pay up or be cut off! I knew this was an error as my DD comes out a few days after payday and there was plenty of money in my account.

So here's a copy of what I've sent to Vodafone with what I know from my phonecalls to their absolutely useless 191 service so far:

"Due to a fault with your new system my direct debit has was cancelled, by yourselves, in September. You have been unable to resolve this, despite me having called 7 times. I have been passed from pillar to post, you've tried blaming my bank - I feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall, and that my only solution is now to leave and go with another provider.
Can you please either resolve this for me or cancel my contract without any penalty to me, as this is 100% Vodafone's default.
Can you also please confirm that my credit file has not been marked as a result of your failings?
    Thanks,
    Robert"

I have been reimbursed for the late payment fees (3 times now), and had another £10 credit for the hassle, been offered a discount on my account and had every apology under the sun, but as yet this problem has not been fixed and I am at the end of my tether!

Thanks for listening to my whine!

    Robert
You can have results or excuses, but not both.
