  • Very interesting information. Thank you for this.

If you google "Subject Access Requests vodafone" plenty comes up.

    Hi All,

So my Dad has been using the Chat service to try and cancel the number he/we have already cancelled 4 times and still being charged for to the tune of £1000+..

He just got duped with the classic 'chat service down for maintenance' routine, but got a lotl in writing now confirming he's been done over by these organised criminals (vodafone).

One thing I would recommend you all to do is send in Subject Access Requests (SAR) to Vodafone which means they have to legally send you print outs, transcripts etc of EVERY single piece of data and communication that has ever occured on your account under the Data Protection Act.. Then you will have your full legal case in writing within 40 days time courtesy of the organised criminals themselves! They will not like this one bit and will try to buy your silence by means of a refund or other monetary compensation.

I've done it with Natwest and it works, never seen backtracking like it!

Good Luck fighting the VODAFONE ORGANISED CRIME UNIT

  • Hi All,

The SAR is a written legal request (templates available online) made under the data protection act, and once served, the company is legally obliged to supply you with ALL the info they hold on you within 40 days. There's no getting out of it for them and you WILL end up with everything you need to pursue your case in an effective manner.

If they don't send you all of this within the allocated time frame they have broken the law. End of.

I got my template from a site called !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dot org

I am pursuing the same course of action against Natwest who have caused me no end of bother as a result of their own internal computer system related incompetence and after no end of daily calls, letters, and agents hassling me for money I do not owe them over 18 months, they sent me the documents within the 40 days and guess what!?- I have not heard a peep out of them for months since! :rotfl:

Loads of people have successfully 'challenged' these huge companies in this way and there are loads of case studies and success stories out there and this is mainly against banks who are coming after people's businesses and homes.

Plus for the £10 postal order it costs you, rest assured that it costs them a hell of a lot more for an employee to sift through & print out all your data, escalate to all deartments etc. If everyone did this as a matter of procedure with all disputes these rogue companies would be profitless and out of business in next to no time, leaving the market free from CRIMINALS LIKE VODAFONE.

I can only conclude that it's too close to the legal bone and they just give up and harass others who, without their personal dossier, are clearly less informed.

Suprised Martin hasn't been championing it?..But then again I would expect his breakfast invites to join Phil & Holly on the sofa would dry up pretty quick if he did.. :money:

I have already done this several times. Please see my above post, as I have given you all the information I have on there.

I'm going round in circles by completing that form you keep asking me to complete all the time and I'm not doing it any more as it's getting me nowhere.

My email address is in my Profile anyway!

Did you use the heading "WRT135 - MSE"? If not it will bounce back.

Please may I introduce myself to your thread !

I am at a loss where to start really with my story. I get the feeling that they are all very long and convoluted if my experience is anything to go by !

I will therefore try and stick to the salient points.

Myself and daughters contract has run out with Orange and I was looking for TWO new handsets on a monthly contract (the daughters only 12 so I can keep an eye on her doing it this way). We live in a poor signal area and Orange (at the moment) do not have a "Sure Signal" type facility so we couldn't stay with them.

Called Vodaphone. Two new Sony M2's. Great. Can I have a Sure Signal Box ? " No, you'll have to get one on EBAY as we have no stock " OK, I think this is a bit poor but go with it as I am offered a 15% discount on the pay monthly plan price. Bought an unregistered Sure Signal on EBAY which was delivered in a few days. Not perfect but things were on track, or so I thought !

One phone arrived. Didn't get it out of the box as daughter would see it and it was kind of a surprise. Waited and waited, lost patience and chased, another phone duly arrived a week or so later. Terrific ! So, got both out of the boxes and daughter is delighted, put SIM cards in both and then..............nothing. "SIM NOT PROVISIONED" message on both phones.

Thought I would call "Customer Services" which I now realise is nothing of the sort. This is where the fun really starts. I was given an account number but have no phone numbers (nothing on the paperwork, SIMS or phones) . We fail at the first hurdle as Vodaphones automated system asks you to enter your phone number on the keypad (don't know it) it then asks for an account number ( Joy of Joy) It doesn't recognise it ! Then we are off on the Timbuktoo Merry-go-round as I like to call it !!!

To cut this long story a bit shorter. Seriously, I reckon I have spoken to 20 people in 20 various nations over a total time of getting on for 3 hours and am no further forward whatsoever. Some of the calls are actually quite hilarious in there ineptitude and sheer bullsh!t . I've recorded the later ones as Vodaphone aren't going to stiff me. Perhaps I should put them up somewhere and put links in this thread ??

The number of times I've heard the phrase "24 to 48" hours I think I'll have it etched on my headstone, which isn't going to be far off at this rate.

Sent the rep on here a message. Nothing. Livechat (more Timbuktoo Merry-Go Round that just takes longer). Nothing . CEO email address . Nothing.

Just to cap it all. Received an email this morning. YOUR DPD VODAPHONE ORDER WILL BE DELIVERED BY PHIL BETWEEN 11.15 and 12.15 . I wonder what it could be ?????????

Not another non working phone by any chance ?

I'll keep you updated when it arrives !

Perhaps they are sending replacement sims ?

It seems strange you don't have any phone numbers with the sims, did you port your numbers from Orange to Vodafone?

Do you have a Vodafone store anywhere near? it may be quicker and easier just to pop in one and get them to check the sims and phones
