Very new here, and I wasn't even registered for this website until I felt the need to add to this thread! My life VP have given me a bad time over the last few years! With one thing or another it has been issue after issue. Found that if you really do persistently heckle the web relations team you do finally get somewhere, that was the only way I've ever managed to get anywhere with anybody who has the ability to structure a sentence correctly... You hear several stories from friends and families with different providers who are just as bad, so the question I ask if if not VP than who??0

Vodafone's atrocious Customer Service
I had my phone stolen 29th November
I provided Vodafone my IMEI number on the 29th November.
I did request that it be immediately blacklisted.
No, they did not do it immediately, but 2 days later only blocked phone as Vodafone had some technical issue (Really! Wow!). apparently blocking & blacklisting aren not the same.
Following a request by my insurer I called and was told to email as request confiming my phone was blacklisted. Was told, by email, by Vodaphones Customer Service phone not blacklisted and that I needed to send an email to request that this be done.
Sent 2 follow up emails which were simply ignored.
Now told, over the phone, that blocking cannot be done by email, only over the phone after a live security check, so there was no point in the last 2 emails I sent or the bad advice I received. and yes, yes it was on file that I had already requested this but they hadn't done it after the initial call either.
There is no explanation why my two emails were simply ignored or why corrective advice was not offered.
My phone was only fully blacklisted this morning 10 days after the theft and after my angry calls. I imagine that the thief has already resold my phone.
Nearly 3 hours later, still no email to confirm blacklisting to send to insurer. even after more calls and emailing.
I just despair at such bad service.
and the poor coverage is yet another issue...
I was with O2 for years. I really regret changing my provider. and they want to penalise me for leaving.0 -
Coverage.
I am in London Zone 3. I get coverage in 3/4 of my home. sometimes my phone says there is coverage, 2 or 3 of the 5 bars. I start the conversation and mid sentance the coverage terminates - mid sentance! I tell people don't call me on the mobile any more. and if they do get through I become anxious in case the call drops before I reach the end of the sentance giving them my land line details.
As I said, I miss O2. Not that I never had problems with them, but when I did their Customer Service was efficient and didn't just ignore me. I also had full service everywhere in my home.
I cannot say this strongly enough - avoid vodafone. poor coverage. even worse Customer Service.0 -
Hi Lee.
Well, after wasting about two and a half hours over the last week on a number of problems with Vodafone I finally give up and go back to the good old days where I have to contact you to sort out the endless problems. WHY did I EVER take out another contract with your "organisation"? ALL I ever achived is a complete waste of time going round in circles. The problems actually INCREASE even while I'm trying to sort out the ones I know about. I actually managed to end up speaking with a so-called manager (an hour after I tried going down that route) who was much worse than the person I'd already been talking with for over ninety minutes. Asking to make a formal complaint is like addressing a comedienne who just repeats herself, gets her facts wrong and fobs you off. I have almost another 24 months of this to look forward to.
GREAT Vodafone - my advice to everyone is to steer WELL clear.0 -
It gets worse. Having wasted more time filling in the contact form I get an email saying you no longer use that address. Absolutely APPALLING!!! It seems now even the WRT can't be contacted.0

I hate Vodafone
I received a txt yesterday saying that my S3 was blocked. This afternoon my temporay handset was also blocked; it has never even been named but I guess it was traced via my replacement SIM.
I had to call back - it seems that the two people I spoke to yesterday both lied. and the txt was a lie, too. and I never received any email to send to my insurers.
My S3 was still not blocked 12 days after the theft. I was then told, very apologetically, that my temp phone was blocked by mistake. I waited and hour but had to go out; it never came back on. I have to wait until 8am tomorrow.
I am going to use the insurance money to buy my way out of this contract. I just can't take it anymore; I have had enough back to 02 for me.
Lee, if you still read these boards, you musty have your hands full. Please could you advise me on the most cost effective way of breaking my contract.0 -

Hi mobilejunkie,
I'm sorry to see that my customer services colleagues weren't able to resolve things for you.
When emailing me could you ensure that the code 'WRT135 - MSE' is quoted in the subject line?
Kind regards,
Lee

Hi all,
I recently got a Pay as you go sim from Vodafone as I have had so many problem with my contract phone, I did not give this number to anyone since getting the sim and within a month of getting the sim I have received junk text and calls which clearly means that Vodafone has passed on my number to these companies. I am so annoyed bad enough I have had to put up with their poor service for such a long time and now they do this countdown begins two months then I will never hear the word Vodafone ever again :j0 -

Hi mobilejunkie,
Unless the code is keyed in exactly you will get that message.
Could you try again for me and ensure that the subject line contains the code 'WRT135 - MSE'?Hi all,

Hi MissyKay,
Thanks for making me aware of this.
If you'd like me to get this looked into, could you email me with your details via the link in our profile here?
All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it'll take you to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me could you also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line?
Once sent you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. So I can make sure I've got it could you update the thread with this and I'll get back to you as soon as possible?
Kind regards,
Lee
