As soon as I got an iphone vodafone stopped being great to me i found... before they bent over backwards.. were extra helpful.. lowered my price plan if i needed to.. no probs but once the apple was in hand that was it.. had to fight to get from 500mb of data to 1gb.. then finally got 1.5gb after a massive fight

my arguement was i was furious that the full monty offered unlimited txts and data and 2000 mins for £36 and i was paying £46 for 1gb data (like i said i argued for that!) 900 mins.. unlimited txts

I have now left them. the last straw was only 2gb max data offered on iphone 5.. sorry but you dont have 4g signal so surely you need little offers to bring in customers? why cant i have 10gb or even 5..

their customer service has dropped dramatically over the past 2 years..

i was with them 6 years.. and it didnt seem like i was being rewarded for loyalty

where as another company i signed up with for my mums fone.. they charged £21 pm then offered me a second fone for £2 a month.. i was like cant loose.. a nice bb aswell

    much better service

    Hi mumbles87,

That's really disappointing to hear! I am sorry to see that you have now left us.

We certainly don't want our customers to have that impression of our service.

We are restricted on the deals that we can offer on the iPhone as they are set, which is probably why you struggled to negotiate.

    Kind regards,

  • Hello

I would start by saying that I have done the biggest mistake of my life by using vodafone service. I was happy using airtel for the past 10 years.

Now my problem is that unfortunately I bought vodafone mifi device and a postpaid connection for data usage on the device. My primary reason for buying the device was to use good quality Internet while on international roaming. I bought it from Raj Bhavan road store. I was told that once it is activated in india it will work on international roaming as well and no further queries or paper work is required. But now when on roaming, the device is not working as in there is no Internet connection, which further means that if the international roaming service is not restored by today evening, I am going to have a huge loss in my business(all thanks to vidafone). On calling the customer care I am being told that international roaming is not activated on my number and it will take another 2 days to get activated. And that too after I make a request o ur Vodafone store an they do verification and all.

My question is don't you train your staff before employing them? I asked them repeatedly if anything more is required for international roaming and they no it is all perfect. And now I am into this mess.

    And at last

    I HATE VODAFONE

I am being punished for leaving Airtel after being their loyal customer for so many years. Vodafone sucks.

Presumably you are with Vodafone Essar, if this is correct this forum is only monitored by Vodafone UK support.

A Vodafone Essar issue will have to be taken up direct with them. Vodafone UK staff would be unable to help.

Nothing but trouble with Vodafone since they forced a firmware update into my Sure Signal.

Five days now unable to use the phone at home as they've turned my sure signal into a paperweight.

Technical support (oxymoron) worse than useless. All they do is repeat the mantra of "Do a factory reset and wait 24 hours".

Well Vodafone, Are you going to replace the sure signal you have broken?
  • I upgraded to iphone 4S in July. During the first week it died and I was unable to simply switch back on. A call to Vodafone technician told me to hold on/off and home key. Fortunately I was back on.

Phone seemed ok for several weeks then it started to happen again, maybe once a week but now its happening once or twice a day. Called V and technician told me it could be a software problem. He took remote control of my phone/computer and did what I assume were updates.

He said hopefully problem is solved. Its not.

Called again. This time they tell me phone will need repair and give me several options for return, none of which satisfy me. Operator refuses to allow me to speak to anyone else so I resort to written complaint.

No contact from them for 1 week so I send 2nd complaint form. This time I get a call and then an email. Cut and pasted below -
[As the handset is concern then I would recommend you to get the handset checked in the nearest Vodafone store. Alternatively, if you do not wish to visit the Vodafone Retail Store we can arrange a postal repair for you. We will send you a prepaid envelope with the address you need to send the phone to. You just need to put the phone in the envelope. All the accessories like Memory Card, battery not in case of IPhone Nokia N8 and SIM Card should be removed before placing it in the envelope. You can then post it to the nearest post office. In order to arrange for a postal repair, please get back to me with the following details mention below and the information mention above Make and model of your phone Colour of the phone IMEI number of the phone. The IMEI is a 15-digit number that you can get by dialing 06 from your phone or below the battery of on your phone not in case of IPhone Noki!
a N8 . Short description of the fault Alternate contact number Also, please accept my sincere apologies for all the inconvenience caused. I trust that the above information will be helpful. Thank you for being our valued Customer./QUOTE]

Vodafone is this your idea of good customer service? I certainly don't feel like a valued customer. None of the issues raised in my complaint have been addressed.

    Hello glitter

Its quite a problem you are having with your iphone 4S.

The warranty for the iphone is with Apple rather than Vodafone, dont both with Vodafone for your issues, take the iphone direct into an Apple store for a genius to take a look. Apple stores have the correct software for their phones.

If it turns out to be a warranty issue or manufacture defect as it certainly sounds like, Apple are very passionate about protecting the credibility of their products and you could well find yourself walking out of the store with a brand new iphone in your hands.
  • I am seething with Vodafone at the moment. I have been a monthly pay customer of theirs since 1999. Just over a year ago I bought a couple of payg sim cards (also vodafone) for some equipment I was testing out and put £20 credit on each in addition to the £5 that was already on them. I tested the equipment out at the time, all working well, and then it got shelved and I forgot about the sim cards. Went to check them last week and I found that both numbers had been cut off, recycled, and Vodafone have stolen my money, to the tune of £40+ credit that was still on the two cards. How can they get away with theft like this?? If I took £40 off someone I'd probably be hauled off to the nick, so what's the difference? Their customer services are worse than useless and won't do anything about it but I want my money back, then I will have to think seriously about whether I tell Vodafone to put their monthly contract where the sun don't shine. I feel like breaking some heads right at this moment:mad:
Always borrow money from pessimists - they won't expect it back.

Not that this helps you at the moment, but I believe that Voda PAYG sims need to be kept live with a chargeable event (call or text) at least once every 270 days. After this time the sim goes dead and you lose any remaining credit.
