A few months back I had a dispute with Voda three months on the trot.
    1. First they knock me off my tariff 'by accident' and I cannot be put back on it because it no longer exist (I had unlimited text messages), so as a consolation they gave me 1,000 text messages a month, ok I guess but I would have rather had my unlimited text messages back.
    2. Second they seem to have forgotten to credit my account with the 1,000 text messages and I get charged for almost 900 text messages :T well done Vodafone  as a consolation this time they wiped all charged (yes, even my line rental) ok that's a little better.
    3. The third month saw them do the same thing, forget to credit my account with the text messages, this time they wiped the text message charge, but that's it.

I've had no problems since and this was almost 6 months ago.

I'm close to month 12 of my 18 month contract, cannot wait to go back to Orange, the only reason I changed was because of the unlimited text messages which I no long have because of a !!!! up.

If I'm going to give a little respect to Voda they did seem to act quickly when the !!!! ups were made. I used the online email form, didn't even have to speak to anyone, worked like a charm, still leaving when my contracts up though :d
Thanks for sharing the information, I was able to break down my problem on vodafone.

    Hi DiforDan,

Thanks for posting this update. I am really pleased I was able to help resolve your issue. 

    Hi theicemaiden,

It’s extremely disappointing to hear about your experience and that it hasn’t yet been resolved even after such a long time.

I will certainly be able to help you further with this. If you could get in touch with me via the link here with WRT135 FAO Heidi in the subject, I will look into this.

Could you also include a link to your post and a contact number so I can call you.

    Hi billyboy2468,

I am sorry that the extra data you requested was added incorrectly as BT Openzone WiFi. This should have been fully explained to you at the time the deal was agreed.

If you could also get in touch via the details above, I will help you further.

    Many thanks,

    Heidi

Are we going back to the dark ages where we used to be charged for ringing a mobile and now Vodafone is charging me for ringing my own land line? I was testing my payg phone and did not touch my land line phone at all, yet my mobile phone said connected and charged me 25 pence.
I did a silly thing and used their online chat service just now and got this no.08080000133 ringing me and kept going off when I asked my question.
Just found out this number is a sales number pestering folks.
Sorry I just found out the problem lies with my landline phone. The receiver(old phone) works even when it is slightly misplaced so the ringing vibration gets it back to its original position.I do apologise for jumping to the wrong conclusion.

Being the sorry tale of how Vodafone have destroyed my excellent credit rating for the sake of £14 (that I don't even owe them) and are now ruining my life. I'll try and keep it short :)

I had a 3G broadband contract with Vodafone. I cancelled the contract after a year and I was assured over the phone that everything was in order and that the account was closed. Two weeks later a recovery agency was chasing me for £14 and despite numerous emails, phone calls and letters to Vodafone no one would fix the error.

As a last resort in May 2012 I wrote to the Vodafone CEO, Guy Lawrence, and had a reply from Gavin Dodd at the Director's Office. I spoke to Mr Dodd – who was very helpful – and he told me that they would sort it out. Reassured by this I thought no more of it – after all, the CEO was on the case, what could go wrong?

Two years on and my wife applies for a car loan. She is refused so we check our credit records, which have always been good. Except mine has now been “defaulting” for two years because Vodafone still think that I owe them £14.

So – no car for my wife and a trashed credit rating for me. It's not even the case that my credit record will be clear after six years: this is never going to stop because nobody at Vodafone will help me. The accounts/contracts department seems to be a law unto itself. Not only has it repeatedly ignored me, it won't even respond to a directive from the CEO's office!

I'm quite prepared to pay the £14 even though I don't owe it – what idiot would ruin their credit rating for the price of a round of drinks? But if the Director's Office can't help and the accounts department just ignores me, I feel like a character in a Kafka novel. I'm frustrated and I'm angry, but most of all I'm shocked that a company has the power to ruin an innocent person's credit rating and negatively impact their life, especially for such a trifling sum.

(And yes, I know that I should have done a credit check earlier. Naive and stupid. Lesson learned!)

You need to contact the Web Relations Team - They are they ONLY people in this company who WILL sort this out for you. Given the facts tyou've given, I really do think they can and will. Send a message via their website with the heading WRT135.

Thanks for the reply mobilejunkie. I did try that route today but got this:

"This service is unavailable. We're working as fast as we can to resolve the issue, and hope to restore the service soon."

Hopefully it will back up soon.

You're on the rght thread. They are likely to pick it up from this thread, but would still need you to contact them outside the forum to be able to identify you and communicate direct.
  • Does anybody know an actual email address I can send my Vodafone complaint to? I tried their 'Contact us' section and addressed it complaint but I got the most incompetent responses and they didn't answer any of my questions. I want to include these emails in my complaint letter so I cannot use the form on the website. I really do not want to have to resort to sending a letter!

  • I recently went on a six month break from work to travel. Before going I cancelled my monthly contract and got a PAYG SIM from Vodafone. Whilst away my phone was stolen; I reported this to Vodafone via the online form, and they were very helpful, they cancelled the SIM and simply told me to apply for a new one online, then contact them again when I was back in the country and they would transfer my old number to the new sim (as I have been using the same number for ten years).

Well, I have had numerous emails back and forth with a couple of different representatives regarding the transfer of my old number. They keep asking for the original SIM card number; I have told them that I do not have this information, as the SIM was stolen. I have also been asked for the last top up amount on the old SIM; again I do not keep track of when I top up £20 to a PAYG phone...

I have again emailed back trying to explain the situation, but have now not heard anything back. I am getting very frustrated, as I need my old number back.

Please could you try and assist me on this matter?

    Regards,

    Mike
