I am the official company representative of Vodafone. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"
  • Tbh Heidi, there was no forewarning of this happening. an email to my address on file would have been sufficient, yet even this never materialised.

The decision to cut the upgrade period from 90 to 50 days, as somewhat left a sour taste in mouth. However, the short time in which to now upgrade between the 50 days and end of contract means do I have to wait as long to change to another mobile provider.

Vodafone up to their tricks again. I got a phone call from a campaign team, asking me to sign up TODAY to an ipad2 for free and it would be a special loyalty discount for £31.99 a month.

Lo and behold, the same contract is available for new customers. If you're really going to be calling customers, please don't advertise the same deal on the website :)
  • Soemtime in January I posted this:

not allowed an upgrade Or a new contract as I COMPLAINED
I doubt whether anyone will believe this because I dont. Im not allowed an upgrade even AFTER my upgrade date, nor am I allowed a new contract. I hear you all asking , WHY......

Apparently In my close on TEN years with Vodafone I have called them over 200 TIMES to discuss mistakes they have made on my account. These include things like:
    OVERCHARGING
NOT DELIVERING UPGRADES WHEN THEY PROMISED
FAILING TO PUT ME ON THE RIGHT TARRIFF
CHARGING ME FOR STUFF IVE NEVER ASKED FOR.
FAILING TO CORRECT MY UPGRADE DATES AFTER RETURNING PHONES.
COLLECTING FUNDS FROM MY BANK EARLY INCURRING CHARGES FOR ME.
among many many many other things

as a result of speaking up for myself, whenever I now speak to Vodafone they transfer me to their "specialist" (SNOTTY CUSTOMER) team. They told me they will let me have an upgrade when THEY see fit, which means if i shut my mouth and dont complain about their ballsups then they may consider it but probably not till WELL after my upgrade date has come and gone.

I feel pretty sure that they are not dealing with me in a fair open and above board manner.

I may be giving the impression I do nothing but complain about them.
This is not the truth, but they are woefully inadequate and cannot deal with even the simplest things.

I was always taught that if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing. Im sorry Vodafone if you think Im going quietly while you actively victimise and harass me then think again. By treating someone differently to everyone else is surely not right dont you think.

    Mark .

Anyway Thats what I wrote previously.

I have been a good customer and kept my mouth shut, not phoned them for anything other than a broken battery cover which by the way they still havent got off thier !!!!!! and replaced.

It must be a very long time since I have phoned them to complain about anything at all. My upgrade date has come and gone, so I phoned them and explained that due to my good conduct and the fact I havent made waves or called them for ages if they would consider letting me have an upgrade. they said no because you are still with the specialist team so no upgrade will be allowed. they said they will review my case, but they wont say WHEN and for what reason I am not being allowed to be taken off ther !!!! list employed by the specialist team.

So to recap. even though I have kept my gob shut about their f*****g appaling level of service and not complained about them, they wont take me off their problem causing list and they wont tell me WHEN they are going to do so.

Cmon Vodafone how about a response unless you're too chicken of course.... You can even email me direct at :markdarke@hotmail.com, and I am making the conscious decision to give my email address in an open forum as they wont be able to contact me on the vodafone number as I am not using it as they are useless.

  • I had major issues with Orange (general muppetry from overseas call centres) and I left

I can't really fathom why you want to stay- they clearly don't want you and are making things difficult.

I am now with Tesco Mobile (who use O2 coverage) and they have been excellent - yes they made a mistake, but fixed it when I noticed it and even apologised !!

The large mobile networks are there like dinosaurs were at one time, but they went extinct eventually

    Time to walk
    baldly going on...

You didn't respond to my email either, in fact no-one has responded to my emails.

  • Heidi, I've emailed you as requested and also spoke to someone via Live Chat today. The chap has made a note on the account that i'm looking to leave once my contract is up - he said this acted as my written notice.

Hopefully, though, we can sort something out in between!
