It is not pro rata. I have asked vodafone this, and checked online and it is not. I didn't upgrade, I started a new contract agreement in my own name. The bill which is more than expected is my second bill which is going to be taken from my account on the 30th of this month. They already took the first bill on the 30th of January - despite telling me that I wouldnt be billed until the 30th Febuary.0

Sorry Jessica but I am correct. There is no point you coming onto the forum for help if you are going to come back and say it is incorrrect. The link I have attached will confirm the information
If it is your second bill for your new contract in your name, it will your first main bill for the contract which will include all the pro rata.
If you look again at your online account, it will give you your billing dates and you will be able to see exactly which date of the month you are billed to.0 -
Im presuming you work for vodafone, which explains your attitude problem. Online, the *inc prorating* is shown for the billed useage (i.e the bill i paid on the 30th Jan).
Y4 24IP 900M UTX 750MB WF *inc prorating*
17 Jan to 17 Feb£35.27 Vodafone Passport *inc prorating*
17 Jan to 17 Feb£0.00Total before VAT £35.27VAT at 20% on £35.27 £7.05Total for this bill £42.32 Total £42.32by Direct Debit on or after 30 January 2012
Then if I click onto unbilled useage i get this extra charge notice;
Charges on top of your price plan to date
(e.g. Texts Picture Messages, Calls, Data usage)£22.074 ex VAT*0 -
Jessica,
I do not work for Vodafone, if you took the effort to read my previous threads you would realise that and not make stupid speculations and dont accuse me of having an attitude problem. I have tried my best to explain and help you with your first bill and how it is charged, plus I have given you a link with an explanation.
If you cannot accept the help I have poilitely given you, then its you with the attitude problem and not me and I can assure you the information is spot on and accurate. There is no point you coming onto the forum if you accuse the person who is trying to help you of having an attitude problem and not accepting the help. Afterall, that is why you posted wasnt it ?
By the looks of things, as well as you pro rata billing you have out of bundle charges for calls, texts and data.
Have you checked you online account to see what these were for ?0 -
Why would I look at your other threads? They are of no interest to me.
If you don't work for vodafone, then how can you be 100% sure that the information you are giving me is accurate?
I have accepted your help, and have followed the steps you have outlined, and it is still not any clearer and just to double confirm I have asked yet another vodafone representitive wether I have pro rata charges still to be paid and they said no, these were paid last month. The excess charge is for apparently going over my minutes this month (which is billed the 30th Feb), which I do not believe to be true, but my main issue is with the way I have been passed from pillar to post and given conflicting information and also at the lack of customer care that is shown.
Thankyou for your help, but as it is clearly another issue, I think I shall have to keep on at Vodafone themselves.0 -
Hey Jessica,
You really need the Vodafone Rep to take a look at your account and explain everything to you.
Hope I helped you, but didnt like being accused of having an attitude problem, you shouldnt have said that, it was rather unfair when I was doing my very best to help.0 -
Yes I shall get someone to do that.
Sorry - as I am sure you can tell I am very frustrated with the whole situation.0 -
Hi Jessica,
Thanks for making us aware of the concerns you have here.
In terms of general guidance I'm afraid there's not a lot more I can add to what Ann has already advised and so as suggested we'd really need to access your account in order to check your bills.
To enable us to do this could you email your details across to us via the contact details in our profile page here?
When sending your email you'll need to quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line and once sent you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number.
To make sure we get it could you update the thread with this?
Kind regards,
Lee

Ive just tried to do that, but can't as the service is currently down. It just gets better really.0

Try This Jessica,
customer.care@help.vodafone.co.uk
That will of course, have to come from your personal email address with the code which Lee mentioned in the subject heading with a link to your enquiry.
You really dont have anything to get concerned about, pro rata billing where you are bill part of a month and one whole month for the first bill is the same for all networks.
Did you manage to check your out of bundle calls from your online account ?
At least your next bill will be for the normal monthly amount.
Now that definitely deserves a thank you !0
