  • The_Bison , cant agree more about the web team too - I was getting replies from them, just standard again, " Yes you said this, and that happend " - not really understanding what im saying ( i might aswell go back to emailing the call center or phone them and get no where ) - Now i have asked more direct questions, to back up what they are telling me... suddenly, no reply - Ok fair enough, its only been a few days, so for now, i will wait and see if they reply, but previous to that, they were replying pretty quickly... now nothing ( so far !)
  • Just to warn people that Vodafone just kept billing and didnt seem to have any record any of any of my contacts with them: (to return a phone, to cancel an account etc). They just kept billing me. I wrote, emailed, called etc around 50 times in 6 months. I finally got them to cancel my account on the spot when I said that I would write to the newspapers about them. They still owe me money. I am so relieved to not have to speak to any of their 'customer service' reps any more. They are ok on the phone but ignore eveything that you request if it involves cancelling an account, returning a phone (which they then charge you for etc). I think their training must involve just keeping people paying. Beware.Horrible

    Thinking of moving your old number to Vodafone via a PAC code, Then be afraid - very afraid.

    I had my number for 15 years before moving to the Vodafone "service".
    Vodafone's 3rd party PAC team tried to move my precious number to O2, apparently.
    Before I cancelled, this resulted in me having NO service on my contract phone whatsoever for a week, and the week before no-one was able to contact me. All I was told was "24-48 hrs it will be sorted".
    They said they wouldn't charge me for the first month because of this issue but, yes you guessed it, they stung me for my monthly fee.
    Many phone calls later (at my land line expense), my patience ran out and I then CANCELLED the contract by phone. Hopefully they've logged/achieved this, however, given their shocking records system I will be sending a recorded delivery letter to confrm this.

    The facts:
    (i) Vodafone lose details of accounts and PAC codes;
    (ii) Vodafone don't return calls when they say they will;
    (iii) Vodafone's PAC team say they've emailed you with info when they haven't;
    (iv) Vodafone take money off you when they promise they won't;
    (v) Vodafone transfer your call round all their depts before you finally get cut-off;
    (vi) Vodafone's cover-all promise: "24-48 hours it will all be over".

    I posted post number 1353 in detail and within a short time, the Vodaphone rep Heidi had picked it up. Within 36 hrs she had resolved my issue to my complete satisfaction.

    I would recommend to anyone with a problem, to provide a detailed account and sit and wait patiently.

    Heidi, many many thanks.

    VERY true; but it applies to EVERYTHING to do with Vodahell - not just PAC codes!!!

    Im glad someone helped you Islandman, i am also dealing with Heidi at the moment, and i think i am a million miles away from satisfaction - She will say one thing, then come out with something else, now she needs to check what she has said ( why say it in the first place if your not sure heidi?)

    Also she completely ignored a good part of one of my emails -

    I am going to keep everyone i have spoke too ( and here) updated with what happens, because im sure there is loads of others like me searching the net and coming across posts like this - so if my experience can help them, then all the betetr

    Hi newtoforums,

    I understand that you are unhappy with some of the information I have provided.

    I can assure you that everything I have advised has been the correct information and that the confirmation I am waiting for from another department is regarding specific dates that I am unable to see.

    You have mentioned that there is some information I have not responded to as part of your email. If you could let me know the areas you need me to reply to, I will be more than happy to address these directly.

    Kind regards,

    I note your post newtoforums and all that you say, and I would reply by saying sometimes things do take longer than we would wish. I would also add that where someone is doing what they do in a voluntarily capacity, we should be grateful which I hope you are.

    As an aside, which could be done via a PM, but do this publicly to prove a point, that I am one of talktalks customers. You don't need me to tell you that they have a community of people enraged with what they call poor service. Sadly I have had issues, but they were resolved by TT's team of voluntary helpers on their forum.

    All that is needed is a detailed account of your problem and once the volunteer has established they have all the details, sit back and let them do the necessary.

    What no company wants is bad public publicity, so give them time.

  • I find that highly amusing. These Godly "volunteers" and a company wanting no bad publicity???

    Just what planet are you on!

    You obviously just don't get it; the "volunteers" are the last ditch effort of an abysmal organisation to plug the public gaps of extreme satisfaction constantly on display from HUNDREDS of its own customers. That's Vodafone's answer to customer satisfaction - the rest of the time it doesn't exist. Oh, and how long are us grateful customers supposed to be "patient" for? Again, it's obvious that weeks - nay, MONTHS aren't enough or copious, endless amounts of OUR time while Vodafone makes things increasingly worse.
