Just what planet are you on!
You obviously just don't get it; the "volunteers" are the last ditch effort of an abysmal organisation to plug the public gaps of extreme satisfaction constantly on display from HUNDREDS of its own customers. That's Vodafone's answer to customer satisfaction - the rest of the time it doesn't exist. Oh, and how long are us grateful customers supposed to be "patient" for? Again, it's obvious that weeks - nay, MONTHS aren't enough or copious, endless amounts of OUR time while Vodafone makes things increasingly worse.
six little letters come to mind, "choice". We all have it. If we don't like what we have, we have the choice to go elsewhere. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Yep. Hopefully those people who aren't aware of what it's like on planet Earth will avoid Vodafone like the plague where the choice is available and they stumble across the volumes of actual feedback on this site. Then they won't need to find out that they don't like what Vodafone actually dishes up!0

When I had the misfortune of being a VF customer about 2 years ago, I ahd numerous problems with them - ranging from errors on my bill, to being completely mis-sold a contract upgrade - this last prompted me to leave them and then they proceeded to agressively chase me for the unpaid contract which I had 'breached' (even though I cancelled in proper time under the Distance Selling Regs.). Customer services/complaints were useless. Only thing that worked were e-mails to the CEO.
Appears from this that they haven't changed!0 -
They haven't; I would say they're far worse, but since your experience was so dire I suppose that's pretty impossible!! Aren't we unfair to this poor "little" organisation that obviously tries SO hard for its customers???0

My husband has been a Vodafone customer for many years, and negotiated a £5 a month discount off his monthly payment over the phone with them.
However, this was stopped after three months. They state they don't tape their calls and/or keep them longer than 90 days. They won't honour the agreement made on the phone, no mention of three months only was made to us.
We have tried to email but they won't budge, just crazy as this was what was agreed. We are now out of contract with them, and looking at moving because of this.
Don't they want to retain their existing customers?? Crazy!!:hello:0 -
Customer service is only going to get worse, from the end of october anyway.
Vodafone are moving another call center abroad.
Just a heads up like0 -

Just to warn other users. I had an old handset (backup & emergencies payg)with vodaphone but finally (I guess due to inactivity) it would not work. When I tried to reinstate it I had lots of email contact with customer service. After various suggestions that didn't get the phone working again, they suggested I credit the account and perhaps that would get it running again. So I did - via a cashpoint as suggested (because I couldn't do it online) & credited £10 to my account but it still wouldn't work, so I asked for a refund only to be told that was not possible!!! Then my main smartphone died & I decided to get an iphone & wanted the vodaphone no transferred - only to discover that the number had LONG been discontinued and was no longer available. So, how come Vodaphone customer service did not know this? And how come they suggested I put £'s into the account? I feel I've been wilfully robbed of £10 which I would prefer to go to Sudan than Vodaphone. PLEASE BE WARNED!0

Hi magnificat,
I am sorry to hear that you have had some conflicting information.
Unfortunately if a chargeable call isn't made within six months on a PAYG SIM, it will be deactivated.
So that I can help you further to get this resolved, can you send me an email to the address here with WRT135 FAO Heidi in the subject and include a link to this thread.
Many thanks,
Heidi
