    I don't think it's a 'quick' question.
I am no expert, but a quick google search for "iCalendar android" throws in the following:
    http://blog.cluepusher.dk/2009/11/25/new-android-app-icsreader/
    http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/ical
    ....

Cheers Grumbler, but before I can do that I'm now faced with another problem.

My Phone (X10) won't mount the SD card to the PC - any help?

I don't understand what you mean by 'won't mount the SD card to the PC'.
Also, there are other ways of exchanging files: USB cable, bluetooth, e-mail.

    Hi wakeupalarm,

I am sorry to hear that you were given some misleading information when requesting your PAC code.

A PAC code will enable you to port your number to a different service provider whether it be on contract or PAYG. It won't let you transfer from Vodafone contract to Vodafone PAYG though as it's within the same network. I would imagine this is where the confusion lies.

    Hi pinkcheshirecat,

I will be more than happy to look into getting this removed for you and am sorry to hear that this hasn't been done properly for you so far.

If you drop me an email to the address shown here with WRT135 FAO Heidi in the subject and a link to this thread I will be able to sort this out.

    Hi Duzzer,

I understand your frustrations regarding the repair of your phone. If there is any sign of water or moisture in the handset then it will void your warranty and we would not be able to fix or replace it. If you wish to discuss this further with me, you can email me also via the above details.

    Many thanks,

  • The customer service person said he would send a PAC code within the next 2 hours but I would not be able to transfer my number to another network on PAYG.

I queried why I would not be able to transfer my number to PAYG on another network and he stated that my existing Vodafone sim is a contract and therefore a PAC code would not work when transferring to PAYG.

This is utter nonsense. No need to wait for Vodafone representative here confirming this or wait for a reply to your e-mail.

What if you want to upgrade your Vodafone contract via a third party?

IE I have a VF contract with "Vodafone Direct" as they used to be. They refuse to offer the handset I would like because they are stocking it "for business users only". CarPhoneWarehouse however, are offering the same phone on a consumer VF contract.

Vodafone said that there is no way I can take my number and either PAC it or upgrade it at CPW to get the handset of my choice.

I don't know much about upgrades, but PAC is used only for porting number to a different network. Only O2 allow porting it within the network (without a PAC) and IIRC they call it 'transfer'.

I believe that Carphone Warehouse don't do Vodafone upgrades, its a remnant of the major falling out they had a few years ago.

You believe wrong; Vodafone is now a major moneyspinner for them, upgrades and all. Two of the worst companies finally realised they were a great match.
