They have a specified time to send these.
I got out of a Vodafone contract when I asked them to provide a copy of the call (they couldn't / wouldn't). I offered to send them MY call recording and they immediately agreed to cancel the contract.
They got back to me today requesting for £10 for " MY " information ?Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.0 -
Yes, they are allowed to charge £10. This is for the service, not for the information.0

Hi Chrissybh0y,
As per my voicemail messages from Monday and yesterday I'll be trying to reach you again between 13:00 and 13:30 this afternoon and will hopefully be able to discuss things further with you then.
Best wishes to you both.

Meh, Voda really couldn't organise a p*** up in a brewery... my number ported to 3 in early May, received a paper bill from Voda to cover the final charges and this was paid by DD towards the end of May... today I get a text from Voda saying that my bill for June totals £0.00 and to log on to my online account to view :rotfl: erm what account, the one that I don't have anymore because I am no longer a customer? Have posted on their forum for the mods there to sort out...Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0

On the 7th of may, i called vodafone to cancel my contract. I got through to someone who told me to email them but he also gave me my PAC. I emailed them straight after. Next day, as it always takes them 24 hours to respond, i had an email asking me to provide details, in which i replied with them. 24 hours later i get a reply saying that cancellation is scheduled for 7th june and i would receive a letter. I received this a few days later. I thought this was the end...... Last week i emailed vodafone asking if they resend my PAC as i deleted the text, again the next day i received a reply saying that i couldn't use PAC if i was cancelling my contract and that they removed my request to cancel. Annoyed they had done this, i replied telling them that i still wanted to cancel. They replied saying that if i wanted to use PAC i don't need to cancel and if i wanted to still cancel, let them know. I replied saying yes, just cancel my account. The next day (This is where i get to my point) i got a reply saying they have scheduled my account to be closed on 7/7/2011! Um what! I quickly replied stating that my cancellation date should be 7/6/2011. Yesterday i got a reply saying they were sorry i wanted to leave and that i have to give 30 days notice of closure and my cancellation date would be 7/7/2011. I replied asking if they were stupid and that my cancellation date is 7/6/2011 and i have a letter stating this. Through all of this, not once did i get a reply from the same person. I feel like i'm going round i circles with something that is so simple. Can anyone advise me on the best course of action or who to contact?0

It sounds like you've got a bit confused there thomasgray. You can either port your number to another supplier/network via a PAC code OR cancel the number altogether.
If you port your number out then it has to go over as a live number not cancelled. If you cancel your number/contract then you cannot port it. You need to decide which you want to do.
You say they cancelled your original cancellation when you asked them to re-send your PAC, this would be correct for the above reasons.
If you then change your mind and decide to cancel after all, then they are correct in that you have to give 30 days notice.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0
