You phoned Vodafone twice on the 21st April to complain about a direct debit that came out of your account on the 22nd April?

Is it possible you have the dates confused as I don't see how you can complain before the event happened. Any way, the 22nd was Good Friday, do direct debits come out on a holiday?

After much frustration with Vodafone and the various useless departments I would like to say eventually I got what I needed and it was also sorted out by Heidi! Thanks very much, wish I could understand why something that is so simple has taken so much time and effort to be produced. Once again thanks Heidi!!

    Sorry for confusion

That was Good Friday, direct debits do not get taken on bank holidays.

The earliest the direct debit could have been taken would have been Tuesday 26th April which would make it not quite three weeks since Vodafone creditted your account with £50 and you called them more than 100 times.

You would also have received a bill from Vodafone would have given you two weeks notice when the direct debit would have been taken and you would have had ample time to make sure the money was in your account.

I din't get any letter from Vodafone about the direct debit setup.. The Money was taken on 22nd April , I have still record and that is the dispute with Vodafone

If someone abuse me over the phone for their own mistake ( taking direct debit on wrong date) and then tell me that we will give you £50 pound, I am sorry I can't accept this thing. I never asked them for money. I just asked them for apology and explanation.........

    That's it

after another week of battling i was told that the phone i was to be sent has come and gone..... apparently there were so many pre ordered i cant have one. nice to be told. managed to get the new nokia e7 as replacement, assured that it will be here Tuesday. perhaps all the hard slog and complaining has paid off and someone has seen sense.

Vodafone has undoubetly the worst customer service i have ever dealt with which is truly unfortunate given the size of the company. i am sure that the managing director doesnt have a clue about half the stuff that goes on. perhaps he should have a look at what goes on at the ground floor.

@Moshin_99, in your case I can completely understand the built up frustration, which as time goes on only gets worse. I personally blame the Egyptian call centre, and any time I call and get one from there, I hang up and re-dial in the hopes of getting one from the UK.

Now this having been said, at the beginning of this complaint, it arose from a simple miscommunication, what the agent obviously should have told you is that the DD would be out before the holiday period, as with any payments either in or out of your account, if the date for payment falls on a weekend or holiday, it will be paid on the working day before the holiday commences.

Also for them to request you go to store to show your receipt for over charging, and the returned payment charge from your bank is not something I would personally consider unreasonable, given the fact you can alter Faxed documents, and emails to say whatever you want, in this age of technology, there is nothing like a hard copy.

Then to the final portion, which I find whimsical, being paid £50 for the insults, if I thought there was a chance in this for me, I would roam the streets encouraging the insults at £50 a time.

I know this is going to be an unpopular comment, but just opinion

    Thank Michael..

Youu would be surprised to learn that One of the manager from Egypt call centre called me and she start apologising and told me that they can't do anything.

After 30 minutes of conversation, when i asked her " are you the manager of that girl " she told me no I am not.

Then I asked her " Do u know what is the complaint about" and she quoted """" I haven't gone through your complaint but you are suffering froma long time ,SO I thought i should apologise on behalf of Vodafone and that we can finish that complaint today "

I was out of my mind....... A person who is not concerned and who even does not know what the complaint about is calling me .

I told her that "" one of my neighbours is working as Sales assistant in a vodafone shop. Do you think I should go to him and ask him to apologise for the mistake happened in egypt becuase he is working in vodafone "

    I terminate the call
