Hmmm...in my experience this is the kind of purchase you make with the best intention, then either never find a top quite right to go with the bottoms, or the only top you find is double the price of a cheaper bikini (or other item) from somewhere else.
I always buy bikini tops from an online site like bra stop to fit my (big) boobs well then buy plain cheap bottoms to tone with them and get more bottoms than tops as nicer to change them more often:)0 -
went shopping in tenerife(sorry to name drop:rotfl:)in Zara,bought.............. a polo shirt for DH:(....all the clothes were tiny:(:(:(:(
went in a posh shop to look at shoes ohhhhhh lovely.......:(stopped at size 38!!!!!...now I may be able to lose weight but unless decide to do an ugly sisters act and chop off toes am stuck with feet size:eek:

I'd rather pay full price and only buy pieces that i love. especially because if you dont love things you wont wear them anyway.
As an aside, what does a freedom day mean?
OMG.....I only buy in the sales:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:...well mostly as the brands I like reduce their stuff so quickly I refuse to pay full price(e.g East now have a half price sale on)I look out for odd sizes that have been left as thye have the biggest reductions usually.
freedom monday is a monday(or other day you like) where you "shop" in your wardrobe for an outfit not worn before ,putting stuff together in a new way, whatever takes your fancy:)0 -
Spends of £2 on a pair of fake cardi ugg style boots in Primark...in the sale.
I tend to avoid sales too but love it when I come across something I had my eye on previously on sale. Or when you go to pay for something and its been discounted.0 -
I have to declare £75  and can't decide whether to be cross about it.
Went out to buy lunch between lectures today - was good and went to supermarket instead of just parking myself in coffee shop - but had a 'quick look' in one of the clothes shops en route. Found a fab polka dot denim coat - it's blue denim with white spots, cut with a waist and not quite to the knee, a great shape on me - tried it on, loved it, dithered, decided to buy it and try at home with summer dresses instead of the winter jeans and boots I had on. It was one of those little boutique type shops that when I decide to leave something and come back, they've sold out of my size and refuse to order any more. Anyway, you guessed it - got it home and the receipt says quietly at the bottom 14 days to exchange or credit note.:doh: shoulda checked. Fortunately I love it anyhow, and I have some Quidco cashback due this week which was going to come off the debts but can cover the coat instead lol.
here endeth the 'check the return terms' lesson!

I have decided next weekend I have an already planned trip which cant really be changed to avoid shopping - but i will try very hard to minimize it
I don't really have any need to shop - thats whats the stupid thing, I have plenty of stuff. Perhaps some new work tops as changed my style at work to be a little less formal.
Weekend after I am going to spend it - Ebaying and swishing and generally having a great clear outThen weekend after I am off on my Jols.
Somebody suggested to me once - if I can afford to go shopping I can afford to save. So, for every £ they spent in the clothes shops they transfered a £ to their savings, soon didnt have much money for shopping!! I do always save some on payday tho aswell
I am going to make an effort to attend a match with him sometime see if I like itjust make sure I dont shout for wrong colour lol.
I saw a great tip on Spendaholics once. There was a woman on quite a good wage but she just used to buy loads of clothes mainly as she was bored and in a bit of a rut. she wasn't in loads of debt but did want a holiday home in Tobago. So, what they did was get some stickers printed of Tobago and stick them to her credit cards, and one by her laptop - so every time she was tempted to spend online or use her card, she was reminded of what she could put the money towards instead.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Ooh I would like to join in again please....last year I got to about September I think and then had a clothes needy patch that blew the budget
This year I would like to increase my budget to £300 to include every thing.
I have been quite restrained this year, so maybe last years training did help:D
From my £300, I will have to take off £12 ( denim shirt in M&S sale)
£3.99 ( Lidls underwear)
£7.00 ( socks and tights) Tescos
£6.99 socks ( Jarrolds)0 -
Morning all
I recieved three emails today from my favourite shops - Oasis, Newlook and Dorothy perkins. All offering their sale wonderfulness. I saw a top in Dorothy perkins and a bag in Oasis.. but guess what?! I have walked away. Decided I didnt need themAnd I wont go back either... And that was at the most dangerous time of day for me/dressed waiting for work waiting for lift boredum feeling urgh cos its work!
Note to self: Decativate sale bargain emails.
Cant remember if it was on this tread or another, but I saw a brilliant signiture the other day... she had £35(?) x 100 then 99 and so on and kept scricing them out, when she had paid £35 of her debt/savings. I thought it was a great idea0
