not such a good day was going to pat myself on the back from resisting buying some clothes from boohoo but succumbed was on the tesco website and with my sister encouraging me spent £70 on 5 dresses hopefully they are nice and won't have to send them back. had a bit of a wardrobe clearout and have some more stuff for my car boot sale so that should make up some of the money I have spent today!misselvis proud and in motion - dealing with her debts step by step

Hello
just checking in and catching up with posts. I'm so boring and can't believe that it is already March and I haven't spent a penny on clothes, so I'm declaring a big, fat £0 so far!!
I suppose this is because I've put the 4lbs back on that I lost in January!!
Anyway, I started a new diet for March, so hopefully I'll be able to shift them again quite quickly.
I'm on day 4 so far and have stuck with it.:o

Morning all,
I am pleased to say I have had a freedom week. All week instead of wearing my normal clothes for work I have worn a different more comfortable top, and got to say although admittedly not as smart as a shirt it really did make me feel tons bettermuch more comfortable in myself.
yay.
Been thinking however... I really need a huge clear out of my wardrobe. The majority of the stuff I have brought and not worn have been sale buys.. somehow £10 in the sale looks better than £28 for something you really love out of sale.. or is that me lol.
So... no more sale buys. Exlusions apply to stuff which I wanted to buy full price but couldnt really afford.0 -

I dont buy stuff in sales. If its in the sale its because no-one bought it, and if no-one wanted it its either horrible or doesnt fit very well.
I'd rather pay full price and only buy pieces that i love. especially because if you dont love things you wont wear them anyway.

Hmmm...in my experience this is the kind of purchase you make with the best intention, then either never find a top quite right to go with the bottoms, or the only top you find is double the price of a cheaper bikini (or other item) from somewhere else.
Was very good today, tried on a very sweet cardi in Dotty P's, wasn't 100% sure when I tried it on although my friend said it was lovely. However it was really badly made, threads hanging everywhere and at £28 it wasn't exactly bargain basement, so back on the hanger it went, and out of the store I went :TFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Freedom Monday/Tues.. is an idea which I think I was involved with launching a good couple of months ago - I chose the name if im not mistaken. What it is, is you shop in your own wardrobe, letting your bursting dress/top/skirt out and wearing it rather than rotating ur same old clothes which u always seem to be wearing, with the objective of this helping to minimise any spends.
Went shopping today - boyfriend brought me a jacket from Primark as I was tempted by it, to try and help me with my challange, just tried it on again though and its odd cos its three quarter sleeves it just doesnt fit right. hopeing he lets me put the £10 towards a different jacket lol0 -

I agree - if I didn't want it enough to buy it and wear it when it was full price and in season, it's unlikely I really want it afterwards. Except when the sale price is my max - but it's quite rare that happens as I don't tend to go in those shops anyway!

£8 spend to report, a half price jumper in the Mr T clothing sale. It looks sort of odd on me now but as I grow in confidence wearing it, it should be able to do for work as well as casual wearing, maybe even dressing it up a little! So I should get my use out of my £8
EDIT - I've just read the posts above re. sales, they're something I sometimes browse because I shop by price primarily (it involves using my long arms to reach for the price tag without taking too much of the item in!) So sometimes I'll see something amazing but it's £20 more than the price I would want to pay for it (sometimes if it's £5 I'll make an exception but not £20).
I hadn't seen this jumper before today, I think it is to an acquired taste though. Put it this way, my brother laughed when he saw me wearing it and asked if the cat had attacked it! But I like it and I feel I got it at the right price so it's all goodThank you competition posters!
