eco, just think 'boat' ... are you designing a huge walk-in wardrobe for your barge ?
I am thinking barge and no space, which is why I think I should do this challenge, I've got too much stuff and I hate chucking stuff out, so if I don't buy anything new I will have to wear the old stuff. I just know it's going to be tricky as I love going to TK max every couple of months but will have to be more selective.0 -
Me too please!!
Going for £240 for the year.. to include everything except a new pair of boots for work/everyday as mine are leaking!!
Got 3 wardrobes full of clothes, most of which I rarely wear/don't fit!! Trying to summon up the motivation to list on ebay .. i do find my plus size clothes, commonly known as 'fat lass frocks' do sell. If I ever get round to it:rotfl:If I do make a profit from ebay I may reinvest, but realistically this should be paid off my debt:eek:
Also, if I manage to drop even one dress size should have a whole new range of clothes to wear.

Hi Everyone
Can I join please. My budget for the year will be £600!! To me this seems a lot, don't think I have ever spent that much on clothes in a year! However it will include everything, shoes, undies, gym gear, accessories etc. I am the kinda girl who lives in jeans and doesn't have a clue about fashion so this budget has to buy me some good quality key pieces with the aim of me looking fab. I'll be on the lookout for hints and tips here so keep them coming.

P.s I got a £100 voucher for new look from Santa. Lucky me
. I won't include this in my budget but money I make from selling clothes I no longer/ have never worn will be.

Hi everyone :hello:
great to see so many people keen to join in with this challenge.
Welcome aboard to :
BatOutOfhell, Nym Mcfroglet, chevalier, summertea, queenmonkey, keelni, pippo, Sabrina237 & LittleBoots
It's fascinating to see so many different budgets & what people are going to include. There is no right or wrong budget here; the pertinent point is the simple fact that there is a budget
I understand why people with children arent including them in the budget; I realised that my DDs could easily come to about £200 in a year if she keep on growing. As her feet are now half a size larger than mine I'm hoping they'll stop growing soon so she can start to build up a collection of her own.*whispers thanks to the foot goddess as mine are now all 'safe'*
Including all her needs in the total budget should keep me from overspending on myself ... what sort of a woman would let her child go barefoot & in rags just so that she could buy herself fabby new things ... :whistle:0 -
Hi
I'm new to the site and would love to join this challenge. I'm going for a target of £200 as I have far too many clothes already and know that I buy for the sake of buying rather than because I need anything. I've been living out of a suitcase for the last 3 months which has made me realise that it really is possible to survive with a limited wardrobe and only 3 pairs of shoes - who'd have thought it!!
I'm hoping this challenge will help me to finally create the illusive 'capsule wardrobe' or at least a minimal one whilst trying to reduce my debts.Pay off as much as I can in 2012.

Hi Sorting it out,
welcome to MSE & the clothes challenge
I love the idea of a capsule wardrobe, but cannot believe that it could involve only 3 pairs of shoes .
Having said that, I do admit to having bought plenty of shoes just because they were pretty or a 'bargain' & have only worn them once or twice because they dont fit properly or are uncomfortable.
Will add you to the list right away, thanks for joining in
