Can I join you ladies, I seriously need to rein in my spends, I am the queen of bargains ifits cheap Ill buy it and end up giving it away  because I dont like it so I need to stop this and be clever and buy what I need rather than because its cheap.
I pledge £200 just for me all clothes and shoes. I love a charity shop and plan on making afew outfits rather then having random clothes.
    Thank you

We are going on holiday to South Island in 10 days time. As they have had flooding where we are going:eek:, we have gone and got ourselves waterproof trousers just in case.

But we were lucky as the first place they looked they only had pairs that were $499:eek:, the second place they were $99:T. But the pairs we bought in the end in the last place were 24.99 each. the boys pairs were more than ours!
    So $24.99 x 2 is $49.98
    plus $26.99 x 2 is 54.98
    so total spend was $104.96

So it was a big saving, but still a huge chunk of the money I decided upon.

    So $1000 - $104.96 = $895.04 :eek::eek::eek: and we are not even back to school yet.....gulp.

Oops already spent £25 on a new work coat but in all fairness mine is a mess! I will have to be far more stringent if i want to stick to my budget for the rest of the year.

Here hoping that this years fashion is ugly and doesn't suit me :)

Still haven't bought anything! Want to wait until I've lost a few pounds. I'm another who can't wear heels I just end up in agony. It's not easy to find pretty flat/low heeled shoes tho. I do have some heels for night out but don't go out very often...
  • Didn't realise there were so many of us who don't wear heels!

Yep, it's hard to find nice flats. I can't even wear ballerinas due to my injury. Tend to live in flip-flop style sandals in summer and boots in winter. At least a lot of shops do jewelled sandals and the like, so I don't feel completely frumpy!

Still nothing to report! Probably because I haven't been near any shops! That will all change next week when I'm back at uni, have to walk along Oxford Street to get there, temptation all around me!

    Hi all,

Nothing to report here. Been looking in the sales and resisted:D:D

Only thing that i won't count in the budget is shoes. As i need to have a good sturdy pair for walking. As i'm a size 3 1\2 to 4, good boots are few and far between. But also very costly. No this is not an excuse for spending on shoes :p , as i very rarely buy them now.

    Good luck one and all!

P.S thanks for adding me lula!

I've managed to not spend anything so far. Was tempted by new trousers but I have loads in the wardrobe and I don't need new ones.

Oops, I have a spend to report of £28 for a much needed and well fitting bra!

Went into a bra shop today to ask when I should get measured for my wedding underwear and ended up getting measured today so I could see if there was any difference come August. I was wearing a 34E and ended up with a 32F bra! Was the totally wrong size I was wearing and when she said I was also wearing a 'granny-style' bra, well I just had to buy a new one! This was the only justification I needed, ha!
