Hi to all and happy new year 2011 - I am a regular lurker on MSE but would like to join the 2011 Clothes Challenge, and pledge to spend no more than 200 euro this year on clothes, but will buy accessories/underwear/pj's.

Thank you to all for your wisdom and helpful hints across all the different boards.

    Its onwards and upwards.

    Marie.

    Hey all
Could I possibly join this? Told my OH half about it who doesn't think I can do it, but then forgot to actually sign up (no I haven't cheated and gone out and bought loads of stuff today!!)
My budget will be £100 (I hope!!)
Thanks and good luck to everyone!

I can't wear heels either, I live in sketchers and converses!

Quite a significant spend today (well to me anyway, i grudge buying work stuff), handle snapped on my work bag so £10.80 to replace that (was £30 reduced in debs sale) and £9 for a pair of emergency trousers when a kid threw up on me at work. Not a happy bunny!

another flattie lover here! i would love to wear heels more, but find I can't drive when wearing heels and hate chopping and changing all the time. plus i like to go for a stroll at lunchtime, so normally stick to flats in the day.

I do love real skyscrapers for a night out, the higher the better, and as said, they are all so different. I get on very well in New Look heels, find them bargainous and very comfy. I am only 5 foot tall so a pair of 5 inch heels sees me about right with everyone else....who then wears their heels and we are back to square one! :rotfl:

I saw some lovely boots in Sainsburys last night, crucially they fitted over my huuuuge calves. I bought some others in Brantano just after new year, but think I will take them back and get the Sainsburys ones instead as they will be more versatile (plus they are £15 cheaper, PLUS i can use my £6.50 of nectar points towards them - I will be in credit at this rate!)

Still haven't bought anything! Want to wait until I've lost a few pounds. I'm another who can't wear heels I just end up in agony. It's not easy to find pretty flat/low heeled shoes tho. I do have some heels for night out but don't go out very often...
Didn't realise there were so many of us who don't wear heels!

Yep, it's hard to find nice flats. I can't even wear ballerinas due to my injury. Tend to live in flip-flop style sandals in summer and boots in winter. At least a lot of shops do jewelled sandals and the like, so I don't feel completely frumpy!

I love Sketchers, they do some really cute stuff. Haven't worn Converse in years, I keep looking longingly at them but haven't figured quite what to wear them with... maybe this summer...
