Crazy 2011 clothes challenge

Mmmmmmm. Someone on this forum somewhere mentioned that Next have more reduced items.
I went online to look as a skirt I recently ordered is too big and I thought 'I'd just see' if they have it a size smaller. They do.
Need I say more?
I've ordered £94 of stuff - lots of which will go back. I promise!
Last month I spent £165 on clothes but once I'd tried it all on only ended up spending £41.
So fingers crossed...0 -
Well after being so good I went into town today and despite managing to decline the cinema (just as well, it turned out to be over a tenner) and my friend buying coffee as a share of previous petrol, I didn't quite manage an NSD. £16 to declare on 3 tops from Gap - two 3/4 sleeves and a T-shirt. One is effectively free as they were 3 for 2 and I hadn't realised til the lad on the til kindly pointed this out... it's not like i need any more grey tops, but hey it was free and I didn't like any of the other colours.
Is it me or are Gap a weird fit on the bottom half? None of their jeans work on me, even when they look like they ought to. And I gave up on the lovely floaty cotton shirts due to the usual problem of by the time I get one that doesn't gape over my bust the rest of it looks huge.
I probably also have £50 to declare on a new pair of jeans - went into Levi's to try on sizes as the current ones have stretched and I've lost a bit, so wanted to know whether to go down one or two inches on the waist. Well the barstewards have stopped making that fit and are replacing it with something else that fits OK but has thinner, stretchier denim and no decent pockets. If I want fashion jeans I'll go to Jane Norman thank you - when I am paying for expensive ones I want proper heavy denim. So after much cursing of the Levi's website I have ordered a smaller pair in the sale and with Quidco cashback. £20 savedGoodness knows what I will do when those wear out, because I hate jeans shopping, but hopefully by then somebody will have started making something properly similar.

I find Gap can be an odd fit too - either the legs are ok but the waist is too big, or the legs are too short and the waist fits.
How about ordering more than one pair of Levis so you have one spare?Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

LOL I thought of that, am going to wait til I get this pair and then decide whether to order another. They probably won't go anywhere in the next few days if they're already left in the sale.
Why can't they just leave a good thing be??!!

Good evening all,
I need to declare a further spend of £9.95 for some moda en pelle shoes. should have been about £70 - I did need these as its getting too hot at work in my boots nowI had to return a top I am in love with as it got bobbly after just one wash
Gutted!
Currently doing the math to see if my current account and 'clothes kitty' will allow a small dorothy perkins purchase
I hate getting paid on a Monday - I never know whether it will appear in my bank account on the friday or Monday so have to try and accommodate an extra weekend out of a month!
I havn't done great this month on individual challanges tbh. HOWEVER I don't normally have anything left end of the month but this month ive got a fair amount left so overall i think i've done okgo me! Going to set myself clear guidelines on what is what next month.
total £59.000 -

Hello & welcome to our latest recruit : prudence41 :hello:
Happy New Clothes to those that have them & I agree with others about primarni for socks, also cheap vest tops for layering. Never tried Gap jeans Rosa, so cant help, I tend to stick to River Island these days as they do seem to be right for my shape
Well, I've been a-spending on ebay againI won a fab brand new river island bag on friday & it arrived yesterday morning which was brilliant - love it when that happens
I had a few bids on stuff today, lost a few but won 3 leather belts, 2 at 99p & 1 at £1.99 :j. I've now spent a rather worrying £48 exactly so far, but I have got a lot of stuff for that; all either brand new or almost new & far nicer than & cheaper than I've seen in charity shops too.
Not sure about Freedom Day this week, but think I might do Friday as DD & I are having a day out ... err shopping :rotfl:
Away to update my sig
Be good all

Lula,
Hi - can I join this challenge?
I know its late on in Feb but just joining the forum.
I have been in debt for a long while now
credit cards £6500
loan £5000
Overdraft £2500
Only last year did I swallow my pride and tell someone - I have kept it a secret since I was 21 (I'm now 29)
I am currently off work with depression, partly to do with the money but mainly other personal problems.:(
I have loads of clothes - love a bargain but usually don't need it so this would be a great challenge
I would set myself £250 for the year - will be tough but I need to start somewhere!
though i have spent approx £150 in the sales in Jan
going to sell some items on ebay.
Also - there is a shop 'steals' which sells faulty/past season items - usually nothing wrong with them at all and are from high street shops like top shop and miss selfridge (just have the labels cut out) - bargain prices and the one near me is all items £2.00 at the moment - ideal for work/holiday stuff.
thanks and hope to join you all in this challenge!
