Evening ladies - well I have managed to resist my dorothy perkins splurge so far!!
Naughty new look has got a "daily" offer up for grabs though, so going to have to be very good at work when I am feeling fed up and check my emails! Eapecially considering ive recieved a new credit card today, my idea is to transfer a small amount of debt ive got on the credit card and make a monthly payment on there so get this bloody debt paid off interest freebut omg how the temptation!!
Going to send off for my credit report to know where ive got my credit accounts open but not used so i can get them removed and closed0 -
I'm reading all the posts but still haven't spent any more money - so I've only bought 2 pairs of PJs so far this year - mind you that's what I've worn mainly this year it seems...Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

internet playing up for me and as DH was working upstairs he said I could not reset the router:(up to date with housewifely duties and it was rianing so had a little trip to nearest town(not the centre of high fashion round here:rotfl:)
tried a few things on but nothing really grabbed me and even the top down form £35 to £10 was not great so came out empty handed:A:(
did go in poundshop and bought a roll of wooden edging for lawns which the demonstrater at last weeks flower club had used in an arrangement(trouble is I then forgot to go to the cheap wool shop ...he used wool to decorate his )also got 50 bulbs for £1 and some napkins.....they are so expensive these days.
finally popped into Peacocks looking for short summer skirt(no luck) but did get a long pearl necklace for £3 that will be perfect with my new grey dress so not an entirely wasted trip:)
then into Waitrose and got some reduced valentine chocs in a lovely red velvet heart shaped box that will give to DH for his birthday0 -

Oh, where do you live?! I'm going to come visit! :rotfl: I hope you are getting somewhere with your depression and feeling better though. I have a friend who has depression and know that money worries don't help. Neither does the fact that nobody talks about it - debt and depreesion are some of the last taboos!
Anyway, I've no more spends to declare, and feeling pretty good about that.
Now I'm not trying to tempt anybody but Red magazine has a free Hobbs £25 voucher this month (as I'm sure lots of you know). I bought it on the weekend for a train journey (finished my book while away so had to purchase entertainment ) and it has a really interesting artical about the minimum number of clothing items, and finding your number. The journalist came to 38 in the end, and it wasn't all Gok-like pencil skirt and sky high heels either. Worth a read if you come across it.Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -

thankyou! getting there - you are right with both debt and depression still being taboo subjects - you end up feeling so guilty for having an illness.
The shop near me is in Blackpool so a bit far for you!!
the artical in Red sounds interesting - i think i have far too many clothes0 -
Hi Lula, I'm new to this forum so I know I'm a bit late in the year but could I join your challenge too please?
I need to buy quite a lot of new clothes this year as I have lots of things that need replacing/don't fit anymore.
I've had a good sort out and made a list of things I need. I want to make sure what I buy this year will be used regularly and will suit me, rather than just buying things because I think they're cool and then putting them at the back of my wardrobe until I eventually give them to a charity shop.
I think I'll set my budget at £750 (£75 per month from March) which is quite high but I've got big items like a new winter coat to buy later this year. It'll include all undies, nightwear, shoes, bags, accessories etc too.No. More. Waste.
