Help - what does it mean?
The idea is that on a Monday (or whatever day suits you best!) you try and find something in your wardrobe you haven't worn for ages/something that you wouldn't usually wear to work/whatever you do on a Monday and wear it!
So some people have worn shoes they would normally keep for special occasions, or a dress they've had for a wedding, or accessorised an outfit different, all those sorts of things.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

been to town today with my 20% off East coupon in my bag and guess what?came back empty handed:eek::(did see the bag I wanted but they only had the one and it looked a bit shop soiled so did not buy.tried some linen pants on but they did not have the colour I wanted also spotted some jewelry I thought would look good with new grey dress but will prob buy online and get cash back.
went out in boring black pants , pale top and no jewelry as idea was to try stuff on.
did however go mad on the Clarins/Clinique bonus times:)....see toiletries challenge!0 -
Hi everyone,
Wow, this thread does move fast.
queenmoneky - well done on the dyeing, I do that too. It's exciting because I never know what shade the clothes are going to come out.
On Freedom Monday today I wore a shirt I've had for over a decade but is still in great condition and hardly ever gets worn. Mind you, it was so cold you could hardly see it under my cardie anyway.
Forgive me Lula, for I have sinned! It was a bargain though - a dress for £14.85 reduced from £60 at House of Fraser. Also got two pairs of shoes today but one pair was on sale and I'm not counting them in this challenge anyway
Was going to go charity shop shopping at the weekend but not sure now cos I've spent loads this week and it's only Monday!Save 12k in 2012: 0/12,000

1. A classic beige trench coat
2. Little black shift dress
3. Classic white shirt
4. Black patent high heel shoes (peep-toe preferably to give it that extra something!)
5. A killer bag - think mock crock/Hermes Birkin/something that won't date and will complement every outfit you wear it with.
just read this on all about you email....the items Gok says you must have......I don't have any of them:rotfl::rotfl:esp the shoes as can't wear high heels at all (would love to see him struggle to get my wide feet in some esp with the pins in my big toe that mean it won't bend:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
I'm the same as you rosemary - I know what items I SHOULD have but cannot get!! There is a fashionista in me desperately trying to get out, but her wardrobe lets her down badly.
I haven't managed to take part in freedom Monday yet (due to my lack of imagination and limited selection of clothes that currently fit!!);)
On the plus side - my budget is still intact:A0 -
I have been spending!
Evans dress/top thing- Blue, £27
Primark black dress, £11, Pyjamas X2 £11, (Duvet £8)
New look jeans - £10
Sainsburys top £2.50
M and S - 2Xbra £20, Tights £8
£89.50!!!!
and I am planning on spending a further£26 pounds on another dress (dark pink)
Its all a bit shocking really. I am off on my first holiday for the first time in about 8/9 years!? so wanted to have some new clothes. The two dresses can be worn with leggings and the jeans are SO comfortable
The Blue dress is a bit big but my friend thinks a wide belt would look good. The black dress is a bit tight but I am keeping it cos the place is over an hour away and I like the dress, its the fat rolls that need to leave!!!

I managed Freedom Monday today! I dug out a white shirt I never wear as it's boned and is quite dressy but slung it on with a jumper and a black sequinned scarf.
Lots of comments which was a bit embarrassing! But on the other hand, the scarf looks great so i'll definitely wear again.
I've not spent anything since January but have been very tempted by swing/rockabilly dresses! I'm going to hold out though as some are expensive and this could break my budget. Good luck for February folks~Nym~

I,m planning to sort out clothes for my holiday tomorrow,we are not going for two and a half weeks but it takes me that long to decide what to wear:rotfl:(DH just does it the night before:eek:)I try and take things that all work together but have just bought a cardi that I want to wear that does not really match anything:(also don't fancy taking same stuff as last year. When we went last year some b*****d went through our case and broke the zip tag off my new bag:(:(:(:mad::mad::mad: so am a bit wary what I put in the case.I never take valuable stuff esp jewelry and the case does not have a lock as DH had one badly broken so figured it was better to leave open but the thought of people rifleing through my stuff!!!!!must have happened at Luton I think.
so far am thinking of a green cardi, beige jeans, red shorts and green shorts.I do have a long silk crinkle skirt in green/black/tan with mirrored sequins on that I usually take as it goes with lots of stuff and is light to pack.will need a few nice things to wear at night as we will be eating out a lot.(then of course there is the ? of what toiletries to take as they weigh so much(but not as much as the woman who went on a works trip with DH and ended up having 22 kilos on a 15 kilo flight:eek:.....kind DH put some of it in his 9 kilo case.0 -

I do have the green skirt, but was pi$$itivly possing down this morning so decided against it for today. Apparently Thursday will be dry so will wear it then.
A skirt? Wot, in winter?

Morning all - I had my "freedom Monday" actually on the day itself - but by default really .
What I thought was the start of a mouth ulcer on Friday ended up me going to the dentist yesterday and being told it's a severe infection near my impacted wisdom tooth - so was sent home with antibiotics and was told I was going to be miserable for the next few days - you're not kidding there mate:( - the pain is 24, 7 - the only relief I get is about an hour after the pain relief combo with the antibiotics kick in - for a hour or so anyway.
Anyway even in my state of pain I managed to drag on a pair of black comfy joggers and a yellow t- shirt I used to wear for the gym and mooched about the house yesterday, well stayed in bed till about 3pm as pain was unbearable - only to be told by DD2 that in fact the joggers were actually a pair of PJ bottoms - no wonder I got some funny looks when I went to the pharmacy to buy more meds!
Well at least I wore them - can't remember even getting them/receiving them
Rosemary54 - I do love reading about when you go away on holiday,it makes me smile:) - Have a lovely time - I think the long skirt sounds fab.but not as much as the woman who went on a works trip with DH and ended up having 22 kilos on a 15 kilo flight:eek:.....kind DH put some of it in his 9 kilo case.
It was made after a row with some Belgian students were thrown off a flight due to a problem with luggage fees.Crazy Clothes Challenge 2012 £57.20/£100,CCC 2013 £68.67/£100 ,CCC 2014 £94.32/£100
