tonight is freedom monday(okay so I am a few days late but had a note from the doc so thats alright:))
am going to flower club wearing brown line pants,a sort of minty green(? eucaltptus)cami with a brown shrug over it and a silk scarf DH bought me years ago and amber earings....never worn these things together so should be interestingesp as the cami is very long down to my hips(why KEW?)....seen a few things online at east and kew and have a 20%off coupon for east BUT it is on the reverse of the Clarins coupon(why She?)

was going to wear more spring like things but it has been raining all day here and will probably top the outfit with my trusty red parka:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hey everyone,

Welcome to Gigglepig, amandakins & Eltee12 :hello: will add you to the members list in a minute.

My ebay dress arrived the other day & I wore it to work today - very comfortable, looks brand new, & best of all is fully lined; a true bargain at £1.75 :)

I won a pair of river island trousers last night so that's another £3.20 off my budget.

:)Thanks everyone - My birthday came and went with no drama:)

But my dear Ol' Dad came up trumps and came round with a pink home made b'day cake(by him and he's in his 80's!) and a card with £50! What a star!:T

Now I have hard cash in my hand I am totally flummoxed what to do - vouchers mean I know where I am going and now I have choice - eeek where do I start?

BUT I do need a proper haircut - it's now past my shoulders and although my DD's love it when its down I have to wear it up and out of the way because of my job - plus I wear glasses so I think I look "skanky" - not a good look for a over 40's lady methinks - my normal hairdresser is still on carers leave so I need to find another.

I suppose once I have it cut then with whatever is left will determine what new lovely clothes I can get.

Need to write a list of what is needing replaced in my wardrobe and take it from there I suppose.

oh and I forgot today is my freedom Friday and I am wearing my nxt boyfriend jeans a little cashmere beige cardie but with a white self pinstripe shirt I dug out from the bottom drawer with the necklace I got my b'day! Yay!

    Morning all :)

Well I have a big day today - I am sitting my theory test for my driving :) Wish me luck!!!

Well. I am going to have a "freedom friday" today and wear something really girlie, I love girlie stuff but rarely i get round to wearing it.

Going shopping tomorrow - Need to get my boyfriends valentines pressie, hes chosen a big cuddly penguin, hes nearly 30!! Which I feel a bit urgh about buying cos its 20 quid and to be honest with how im trying to save money at the moment, I would have loved to have treated him to something more useful which may have cost a bit more but would be better than something to toss on the floor at night. Also colleagues and sisters and nephews... so doubtful ill have any pennies left for little old me! So hopefully no spends to declare!

NGlady2, good luck you will be fine I am sure ,I only passed my test about 5 years ago - it was my biggest fear in my life at the time, and if I can do it anyone can!
I remember on the day of my theory test, I had a driving lesson just before it and the lesson ended at the theory test centre , and when I got out I left all my documents in the car - I was frantic until my driving instructor turned up with them with five minutes to go,before I was meant to go in!

Good luck NGlady2. My son recently passed his test on 4th attempt, and I also took mine 4 times so whatever happens don't give up! Have to declare two half price coats form M&S sale, one for winter and one for Spring and Autumn. Was looking to replace my winter coat, but couldn't resist the other one as well! However did send back a lot of things. From now on only going to get things I really love. M&S sales are my biggest weakness though.

forgot it was valentines day coming up (despite already booking a table at Loch Fyne for their special menu tho think I'd better miss the oysters after our tummy bug esp as doc on radio said how dangerous they are:(tho never had a problem. We are eating simply at the mo and i am finding it hard to know what to cook...fish fingers and chips for tea tonight for example as DH is refusing all suggestions of chicken and we usually eat it a few times a week in different guises!)so will have a "wardrobe" shop and see if I can find something trendy as LF usually full of younger people who look good.
Ball tomorrow and am going to try red/black strappy dress without its matching shrug but with the East black sequin cardi....not sure how it will look or if practical for dancing.

What are the five must-have fashion pieces for the perfect capsule wardrobe?

    1. A classic beige trench coat
    2. Little black shift dress
    3. Classic white shirt
    4. Black patent high heel shoes (peep-toe preferably to give it that extra something!)
    5. A killer bag - think mock crock/Hermes Birkin/something that won't date and will complement every outfit you wear it with.

just read this on all about you email....the items Gok says you must have......I don't have any of them:rotfl::rotfl:esp the shoes as can't wear high heels at all (would love to see him struggle to get my wide feet in some esp with the pins in my big toe that mean it won't bend:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
