bras!...well I used to have loads as kept being seduced by offers from figleaves and brastop but after being 1 size for less than a year and changing to a 36FF I had to buy new ones:(...Marks do not stock this size:mad::mad::mad:
I get measured at Bravissimo(then feel I should buy there!) but after that buy online brands I know fit(thorough quidco of course!)I decided it was silly buying lots of bras so now stick to nude/white and black and have them in a lacy style and a padded t-shirt one I do have strapless ones but they are in my old size 36f and dont feel they give me enough support anyway so only use for strappy dresses.
As for knicks I always match the colour either with a plain one or one with the bra colour in.I don't buy the matching knicks to bras as always expensive so choose packs from tesco ,marks or john lewis.I am very bad and stick bras in the washing machine too:eek:
just ordered a t shirt bra online as sale on and did not have a nude one, also a dressing gown as had managed to get hair dye on my old white one:(am not declaring as spends tho as am only putting down outer clothes0 -
Am going to be really good. My Next sales delivery items that I'm unsure of will go back to the store instead of my wardrobe. That means just a spend of £15. Now question: should i include the postage in my clothes expedniture?? IS it slightly cheating if I don't?0

My new purchases are still in their bags on my bedroom floor! This is another thing I want to work on with this budget, renewing my love for clothes. I remember I used to buy things, hurry home try them on then put them pride of place in my wardrobe. Nowadays clothes are just clothes, I tend to buy plain unexciting things to go with my other plain unexciting things. So plan is to keep up with fashion trends, buy a 'key piece' every now and then and try to find my style. I also want to accessorise better to jazz my boring stuff up a bit.
Another thing I have to do is take better care of my clothes, they tend to get bunged in the washing machine, put out to dry then stuffed in a drawer. Poor clothes!0 -
Hi Lulu
can you include me (and my OH) in the crazy 2011 clothes challenge
We are aiming for £360 together so £30 a month as we are avid car booters when the weather brightens up we will be hard at it bargain hunting
Many thanks and Good luck crazy clothes challengers

Hmmm im not too sure, I guess if i got the bus into town purely to buy clothes I wouldnt include the fare. Is that a good comparison???0 -
Thanks littleboots. I happily won't count that towards my clothes expenditure then...0

How many bras should a woman own? How many times do you wear a bra before you wash it? And how many amongst us wear matching knickers?
I think you need at least 5 bras, but this is dependent on how many times you do laundry a week. I wear my bras for one day only and then they go in the wash. I don't wear matching knickers as I've found the best bras for me are from Bravissimo and they are quite pricey as it is without having to fork out £10-15 per pair of knickers on top of that!
I haven't spent any of my budget yet... I was very tempted to get some things from Boden's spring catalogue but I'm going to send back a coat I bought on the sale just before New Year and use the credit from that to get some tops from them, so technically I still won't have spent anything :jCC debt: £0/£9 0000 -
I declare a spend of £6 on tights (cute lace ones from Marks). Not specifically needed but will go very nicely with a winter dress that I haven't worn much this winter as not convinced which tights to put it with. So let's hope it's saved me buying another dress
I also confess to a pencil denim skirt for £22, but it's going straight back. The size I tried on was too big, I grabbed the smaller one on the way out as couldn't be bothered to try it on there but although it fits it just doesn't look right. Was also very good and didn't buy the bra & knickers I tried - so am feeling very virtuous.
Also v annoyed at revelations of changing room mirror , really need to eat better and do some exercise. Will try to pick healthy stuff even when running around between work and uni, have already nagged friend about going for hike on the weekend, and am off to find Pilates DVD.
