I am still eBaying a LOT of clothes and accessories but I have finally made a couple of new purchases:
A dress and plain vest top to wear for work uniform. RRP £35, cost to me £8.75 but paid for with gift voucher so free with some change to go towards the next batch!!0 -
Such a wonderful thread. I am too late to join it this year but I am aiming to not to spend any penny until New Year...
I have a thing about shoes though... Not expensive ones but the ones that are catchy, shiny and not necessarily comfortable. So please add me next years challenge, after all only three and bit months left. I really don't need anything, just need to get smaller and fit into my last winter's cloths again... Just in case, I will put £100 on the side for next year... That would cover my nerdy bra needs and plus whatever.... NO SHOES ... NOooooooo...........Don't forget smiling:):)

£55 to confess... a can-be-strapless teal chiffon maxi dress (with a u-shape wire thing at the front, sorry no idea what they're really called). It's currently under debate due to the usual issue of size that fits ribcage causing overspill and size that fits my chest being a tiny bit loose - would probably be OK with double-sided tape but am also thinking of moving the straps outwards as would suit me better. Gorgeous colour and somehow quite plain with being matt. Was from a little boutique place who sell out fast so picked it up to return if necessary rather than finding it's gone next week - particularly at half the price of most high street evening dresses.
Have been quite well behaved otherwise and if I keep the dress could make it reward for final essay!

Just spent pretty much some peoples' entire clothing budget on a pair of walking shoes which were much needed as I had NO shoes for winter and thse are goretex lined to keep me nice and toasty through the colder months and they're also waterproof.
However, I am selling a LOT of stuff on eBay (still!) so am have paid for them with the proceeds of selling other clothes and shoes etc.0 -
Oopses... Went a bit mad after finishing my dissertation, and clocked up £57.50 in a couple of days!
But that was
£14 on a dark purple jersey maxi skirt for winter/travelling
£16 on a really pretty cami-and-knicker set that has gone down extremely well
£37.50 in Pr!mark, and that bagged me a pair of nude-colour lowish heels, a skirt, two t shirts, a pair of extremely snuggly pjs (went down less well than the cami set, but v snuggly for winter), a nice jumper and a belt. I think that was all!
So, enjoying my new clothes, but it has taken me a couple of weeks to come and 'fess up!
Total spend since starting the challenge is now £104.40/£100

Morning All
since my last confession, I've spent thusly:
Top & Trousers in Sparks & Mensa = £21.07 (was 25.50 before savings)
Skirt & top in A$bo = £17 in sale
£12.98 on a dress and top in Maitch & Hemm (was 32.98 but I used £20 giftcard)
total £51.05
oooh, nearly forgot sports over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder for strapping the girls down when running £24.48 (reduced from £32)
Total £75.53
Running total £195.97 / £200
leaves £4.03 for the rest of the year :eek:2018 AFD 23/240
2018 CCC #11 £38.40/£250
Mortgage-free since 2013
Debt-free since Nov 20170 -
Permission granted, work clothes don't really count.
mmmmm does that mean I can reclassify past buys as work clothes and have a refund to my budget??????:rotfl:
am actually wearing new clothes more as decided it is wasteful to keep things for best.I had been naughty and bought a new Phase eight skirt recently(with a 20% off coupon)purely because I loved it and wore it to work this week and today wore another " had to have" skirt (again bought with a coupon)I mostly buy things in the sale and my have to have buys are quite rare.
did buy some sale items as very cheap to take on holiday next month, will be odd to wear summer clothes again as seem to have gone over to winter with the recent weather:(0 -
Hi Ladies,
some of you may remember I have a big problem getting footwear that fits!Just bought a pair of boots from tesco for the princely sum of £14.62....strange price, they were marked at £19.99 but came up cheaper at the till(maybe a % off offer i had not noticed?).I saw them in a magazine and it said they fit wide feet and they do,I only needed a size 7 not my usual 8,weel worth a look if you need boots0
