Ladies - I need your help with a fashion dilema
I have enough points from work promotion to claim about £170 in vouchers, you can choose from most high street stores. The dilema is I have a huge and long time hankering for a DKNY handbag @ £240. However, I will also need new boots for winter, I fancy a biker jacket and a faux fur jacket - and probably loads more stuff as the AW ranges come out
Do I go for the bag whilst I have the chance or do I spend the £170 on some of the other things on my list?Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
I don't get the DKNY thing so better ask someone else about that one...
The boots are a necessityso I would use the money to treat yourself to something special. I still have a leather jacket I bought 8 years ago and I love it (enough to have it relined when I wore the lining through!), so that would probably be top of my list. Though I also love faux fur... looks good with skimpy dress, but is surprisingly warm when standing at the bus stop :rotfl: ... although it has to be really top quality to stay looking good. Either way if you pick a cut that will stay in style you could get years of love from them

Shoesy,
I've already replied on your own thread, but - correct me if I'm wrong - didn't you get a new faux fur last winter ?
Nice to catch up on all your spends ladies,
we've been away on holiday & did not buy a single item of clothing - inspite of DD managing to lose her fairly new baseball jacket somewhere . It wasn't cheap.
Anyway, the big school uniform spendathon has commenced & so far has cost £108.95. I still have to buy her shoes, trainers, tights & possibly another pair of shorts - another parent told me the ones I've bought are not the right variety & we've already removed the tag.
Whilst in M&S I was overcome with new clothes envy& in the heat, a yearning for new plain cotton undies so bought some & a pair of fab purple tight too .. total spend was £22.50.
Fairly sure that takes us over budget but need to check sig & update accordingly.
ETA : yes, that's me well over budget at £ 553.98 - oh dear !

Hello everyone,
Spent £5.95 on a scarf as a treat (oops) and £7.95 on a necklace (does that count?), taking me up to £25.90/£100 in total, if jewellery counts?“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

£40 to confess for a rather sexy red dress from Oasis - can't find it on the website or would post. Plain red jersey, long sleeves, full skirt - got the medium as the small was a little tight on the bust, so on me it's a boat neck and skims very nicely - does mean the sleeves are slightly too long but that can fixed if I want. Should be very effective with boots and tights - or even the chocolate leather over the knee boots - in the autumn
Ah - found it http://www.oasis-stores.com/Crepe-Fit-and-Flare-Dress/Dresses/oasis/fcp-product/3170091937

Ooh that dress is pretty! And not exactly pricey, I do like!
I must confess I have spent far too much time internet window shopping of late, I think it is because a) I'm supposed to be writing my masters dissertation and b) I'm supposed to be cleaning the house to hand over soon... I just wish I had the cash to actually shop! (but then if I was being all MSE :money: I would be saving the imaginary cash, not spending it on pretty clothes and shoes and bags...)“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

Why thank you. It was you mentioning Oasis for the jacket that made it catch my eye - it's down a side street and I don't often go in - so thanks for the inspiration
