Not feeling my normal self past few days - a good friend of mine passed away at the weekend, and it blew me away.
She had been living with and fighting against sarcoma (that had started as a tiny lump that her hubby noticed on her shoulder blade)for the past four years ..............and she had been living her life to the best she possibly could despite all the hospital visits and treatment but last year she decide that she had enough of all the treatments and decided to let nature do its thing...very brave lady.
Anyway the news really knocked me back and yesteday I could have easily blown the whole of my years budget in one fair swoop as I felt life was unfair and the "live for today" mantra came and sat in my head.
Bought a Cath kidston mug instead( made me smile as tea and cake was always a fave of friend) in a colour not normal of what I would buy so I did slightly push the boat out
But here I am......I made it through yesterday and tomorrow is going to be better.Crazy Clothes Challenge 2012 £57.20/£100,CCC 2013 £68.67/£100 ,CCC 2014 £94.32/£100

Hi Debbie
Sorry to hear about your friend. She sounds amazing.
But good that you got something that will make you think of her over a cuppa and smile.

Hi
Been about for ages but I'm now ready to knuckle down and get myself straight so would like to join please.
My pledge would be £500 for the rest of the year which includes everything for myself my 15 yr old daughter (ugg) 10 yr old son and my 4 yrs old daughter. smallest starts school in sept so will need some uniform and needs new ballet shoes and oldest is doing duke of edinburgh award and needs waterproofs and walking boots (any cheap ideas please)
I had worked out an itital budget of £750 but think I could do better and use any of the additional £250 to pay of loan from cc amalgamation which was alot of clothes spending!
thanks xBe Amazing0 -
Debbie - so sorry you've lost a dear friend, give yourself plenty of time to come to terms with it.

Well done on getting rid of stuff rosemary - I'm sure Lulas Karmic Law will reward you soon

We've been spending today; had to buy DD some undies & tops & then found a skirt she loved in the charity shop so her total spend was £14.95.
