Welcome to the challenge....errr...Lula, am I allowed to welcome folks as I am technically just a lurker on here and didn't actually join the challenge this year?
As mentioned, Primarni are usually good for cheap pjs, I believe some are also in the sale atm, here's the link to the 'primarni bargain thread' if you're interested

Sunshine79 just found some with a t-shirt style top and shorts for £2 - I can vouch that they are really comfy as I got some at Xmas (full price £4) - if you wanted some long bottoms, they seem to have some in the sale too, also at £2 each. You could even get those now for the winter just to add to t-shirts you sleep in during the summer perhaps?Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Sometimes you don't even neeed a t-shirt Freudianslip
Today I went to the charity shops; got a Jane Norman top £2.25, summery day dress £5.75 and a summery skirt from Next £2.99. It's chucking it down here and it has been relentless all day so I think the summery clothes are to counterbalance the rain! (They haven't worked!)
I need to add more than £11 to my total though and I'm a bit scared as to what it will all come too! Have gone a bit mad with charity shop shopping after months of steering clear of all shops!
Funnily enough it was just after ruthlessly clearing out my wardrobe so I guess I'm feeling a bit bare! I need to reign it in though! I'll update my proper total once I'm brave enough to check my receipt spike thingybob!
Lula, I'm sooo annoyed at myself. I totally forgot ebay was quidcoable! D'oh!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

kerrigt - of course you can welcome new recruits, you're an 'official lurker'
.
I have to say that I agree that 'jamas are not always necessary. In my bed they're actually verboten on clean sheets night
Naughty nic re ebay & quidco, I have a drip fund account for all my quidco cash & although the ebay amounts are just pennies, it does all add up.
Dont forget that New Look have their 20% off event soon & are also on quidco ... although you have to weigh up the cost of delivery.0 -
Hi everyone. Just need to add a few things.
Have bought a black Gap top £3 and cardigan £8 both in the sale. Because I really needed some more black clothes. Er, maybe not. Then bought some white underwear in Tesco sale, £5. Finally, I bought some of those shoes that are meant to tone up your legs for £17.50 in the sale. I'm not sure they'll work but they're comfortable and if I end up with a bum like Pippa Middleton so much the better.
Going now to update total. Eek!Clothes challenge 2011 £254.08/£500!!!Toiletries challenge 2011 Trying!:j:T:j0 -
I could do with a bit of sale scratting.
I've been browsing ebay but decided not as I don't need anything to wear really. I'm going to charity shop hop at the weekend.
PJ's!! So expensive - £10, £15 and even £20 in tesco's.
niccatw, I think I might have to do what you suggest!0 -

£15 or £20 might seem expensive for pjs...but think of the cost on a 'price per wear' basis. I am sure I wear my pjs on a far more regualr basis than any of my £15 - £20 tops
tons of nice comfy looking pjs in Primark atm (goodness, I sound like I'm on comission for them) at less than £15.
btw, quick thought - why do pj bottoms seem to continually shrink? I'm sat here in a pair that used to fit perfectly well 2yrs ago...now they seem to have become ankle swingers over a gradual basis :think:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Hope you don't mind me dropping in. I don't buy clothes, these days, although i'm now in desperate need of some new work clothes. But i occasionally peruse the charity shops or primar*. Primar* definitely seem to have the cheapest and best selection of nightwear.
But now i've moved from the antartictic and its several degrees warmer here, i'm back to my favourite night attire, my birthday suit. Who said we have to wear clothes at bedtime? Madness. It does'nt cost a penny, and theres no feeling like it. :rotfl:Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Hello All:wave:
Just thought I'd pop in to let you know that I had a reply from one of these companies who pays cash for clothing - hmmmmm well the sack I filled was massive and I filled it with I think I said 25kg of clothes in a previous post.
I doubled & triple checked every item of clothing that went in there - there were no rips, tears, stains, all clean, nothing "old" style etc.
And the reply I got wasYour clothing weighed 20kg KgYour valuation breaks down as follows:
very little zero rate (1.5kg)... 11kg at £2, 7.5kg at 40p. Thank you!
Now I must have really bad style or keep things too long or something - so I will be receiving £25( the money is going towards my DD2 prom dress material, eldest DD is making it for her)
- ok so am a little disapointed but I suppose it is a easy way of getting rid of clothing very quickly without the hassle of ebay, car boot - but will I do it again? Hmmmmm:cool: not sure , the jury is out.
Gawd I'd love to know what was counted as a zero rate - my fashion sense must be horrendous.:rotfl:Crazy Clothes Challenge 2012 £57.20/£100,CCC 2013 £68.67/£100 ,CCC 2014 £94.32/£100

Hello again to all,
nice to have a new visitor ani 26 - all are welcome here.
I have to say that I agree with you re warm weather night attire - it also saves on washing
I have new shooooooos to declare :http://www.marksandspencer.com/Autograph-Suede-Platform-Sandals-Insolia%C2%AE/dp/B0048AVQXI?ie=UTF8&pf_rd_r=1437YDRWB1KEXZQJQZER&pf_rd_m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&pf_rd_t=3901&pf_rd_i=1000&pf_rd_p=213515047&pf_rd_s=right-1
I've not received them yet as ordered on line earlier, using the 15% discount card that M&S sent me, as well as the £25 gift card that I received at christmas so effectively they have cost me nothing & i might even get a few pennies back via quidco :j
I just hope they fit as I loooooove the look of them & my previous animal print ones are getting a bit tatty.
Interesting to hear about your cash for clothing experience debbiedeejay, that doesnt sound like much cash, how about donating to oxfam instead, they offer a £5 M&S gift card for any donated M&S items & at least a charity is benefitting too0
