    Hello everyone.

Good luck with the meal planning, Pigpen.

I just wanted to let those of you with panasonic breadmakers know (if you've not tried yet) than the croissants are out of this world. DH has been making them regularly for our 2 year old and he loves them with cheese or with chocolate spread (home made choclatines!) He hasn't tried cooking them with the chocolate IN them when they go in the oven but I imagine that will be the next step.

    Have a good day everyone.
Oh wow - they sound gorgeous and we get through loads of croissants in our house. Can these be made in a MR BM? Would love a recipe for them if they can.

    morning folks!

well after all the drama yesterday afternoon... the christmas pud (one of em anyway) finally got cooked yesterday, turned out well, and i love the new pressure cooker that mom got me. Although the OH wasn't too impressed. it hisses a lot, so we had to have the kitchen door closed, which made it very steamy. oh well. then i got to thinking about stuff and talking with the OH... which meant for a late night (4am) and i didn't get the washing up done, so i've got that to do this morning.

today.. washing up, as i've already said, a bath, i think a bit of a tidy up around the house, maybe make some christmas cards later. dinner is minestrone stew i think. maybe decorate the top of mom's christmas cake (doing a glazed (dried) fruit and nut topping instead of the usual marzipan/icing jobbie), certainly feed it some more brandy. hmmm. got some more rice bags to make too, but i can only do so much in one day. see how i get on.

anyway, best get on with it!

hope everyone has a good sunday...

    keth

    Afternoon everyone

You all seem to be having a good and productive day today - well done dlb son for the win.

Had a fairly busy sunday (for me:D ). Yesterday I felt a bit rotten (just the start of a cold) so I did the PJs bit in the evening with x factor and come dancing :j Woke up still feeling grotty this morning but decided not to give in to it so took some vit c, got dressed and got on with it - feel fine now

Had to make another trip to the tip today:mad: thanks to the bin men "losing" my bin in the back of the wagon last week and no sign of a new bin yet. Hate having black bags outside so am a regular at the tip at the moment:D

Did some basics shopping at asda (£58 for seemingly nowt:eek: ) but that did include some chrimbo booze (yeah and that will last im sure:rotfl:) and a couple of pressys.

I am making a scarf atm out of that funky fur type wool and its driving me nuts but i need to get used to it cos my mate wants one for christmas too!
Has anyone else found it a pain?

Doing Hunters Chicken for dinner which I absolutely love:T

    Have a lovely sunday everyone

Just about to dish up Sunday lunch - it will be one of the first ones that my Dad will not be at - so feel a bit down as if it is disloyal to eat without him.

Made small yorkies and DH pointed out he prefers the large ones- retorted that I needed to get my confidence back so thats why.

    Hugs to all.

  • Gosh the day has just disappeared. I'm on some pills that just knock me out and I dozed off just after lunch and have only just woken up. So frustrating.

I'll look out the recipe and see what I can manage to post re the croissants recipe as I can't list the whole thing for copyright reasons. I'll sort something out though. Have a look later on this evening when I should have worked out what to do. x

Good afternoon everyone! Just a very quick post from me today.

(((hugs))) for Aussie, Fay and Elona and anyone else that needs one.
Your Uncle did have a jolly good innings Aussie, but it's still sad to have to say goodbye. And very sad for your remaining Aunt.

Fay, hope your split can remain amicable, but still a time for sadness no matter how "right" it is.

Elona these "firsts" are so hard aren't they? I'm sure it must get easier with time. ( Or at least the raw pain will be lessened)

I've had quite a good afternoon's cooking since getting back from Church so am impressed with myself. ( This is very much a DIY house, if I'm not impressed with me nobody else will be!:rotfl: ) I've got a bacon, onion and potato bake in the oven, I've made 3 dozen welshcakes , a loaf of bread is rising as we speak (thanks Thriftlady, it works brilliantly!) and I'm about to do some flapjacks if I've got all the ingredients, which I'm pretty sure i have. Who said Churchmouse isn't OS?:D

Right off to have a swift coffee then onwards again!!

Enjoy the rest of the day,
    CMxx
