Nicki.. we watch the christmas movies all year.
Today the children watched Dot and Spot magical Christmas Adventure and Beauty & the Beast Enchanted Christmas.
Tonight I am wrapping christmas presents and tomorrow when hubby and the children are at church I am writing christmas cards!! I WILL have them done ready to post by the end of this month.
We have the christmas CD's playing in the front room and my 4 year old (on Friday) LOVES 'walking in the air' I even bought her The Snowman so she could see where it is from.. and she loves that too.
I have bought rabbit food today and other than that done nothing.
I am in the middle of loading the dishwasher, but have to escape from the kitchen as the boys are making juice and they are driving me insane!
I need to get both washing machines on and one of the dryers needs emptying of socks which all need pairing up.. there are about 400 socks in there!!! I think they may get piled in the basket and I'll do them next christmas!! I hate pairing up socks! the little dryer I can empty and fold the contents.
Right.. boys now need kicking into bed.. how come they always need shoving everywhere yet the girls just go??

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 12th Nov 06. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Bonjour everybody!
Ooops sorry, I'm being cheerful and loud...it's far too early for that!! Not sure why I am cheerful, it's been a short night's sleep. However I've got a big bowl of comforting porridge on the go, so maybe that's got something to do with it.
Life in my world is v.quiet. Just going to w*** and going home sort of sums it up really. I have nothing to report!
Have the best Sunday you possibly can everyone.

Hi guys,
My first decent night's sleep in a week perhaps to do with locking kitten out of the room - she howled but settled in her bed eventually. We've spoilt her rotten, so completely our fault! Lots to do, all the usual. May pay in some dosh from the piggy banks - Taffy & Tardis - great thread!
Must buy some fresh ginger today and juice it (freeze as icecubes) to add to drinks to battle against this cold/sore throat I've had all week. It's strong stuff but helps.
Have a great day everyone. (Only my second ever reply to a thread so still no decent sig or smilies yet!)Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Morning!!
Welcome mineallmine!! Always good to see new faces in her!
Mrs mix, mine wasnt a great night either, dd got in bed with us at around 2am, which didnt help, and i have been worrying all night about luke(ds1) footy match today.
May sound silly but today we play a team that his `mate` from school is in, and all week they have been really winding each other up over it, over whos going to win!! He even had a 10 minute argument with the boy on msn last night about it, despite are warnings about he will look silly on monday at school if they dont win today!!
So fingers crossed and i will let you all know later. ( hes only 11 hate to think what he will be like in a couple of year time!!)
Well after `the match` (10 oclock ko) we are having pork done in Sc, then i plan on doing not alot, maybe sit and watch a film with the kids.
Catch you all later
hugs if you need one

Well I did spend most of Saturday trying to fix the washing machine. The part I replaced worked, but then something else decided to go wrong.
Complete waste of day with no victory celebration at the end of it. PANTS!!
Oh well.... Busy old day again. Church first off, then one of my sonn's has a basketball match, so I have to drive him 26 miles to do that. What ever happened to the 'team bus'? Then the others have band practice.... Eventually after going all over the place it's back to my Mum's for roast... ahhhhh Can't wait.:D
Well I hope you all have a nice day....NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
Morning Guys!
Not a good night here, but todays another day:D
Yesterday wasnt too bad and generally had a lovely day together and the roast dinner turned out brilliant! I got spoilt and mum bought me a ton of things in TK Maxx, Asda & Matalan-which seems to have really gone down hill in the build up to xmasMum got me a lovely cashmere green v-neck jumper for £9 from £87, some gloves, sloggis and some other stuff. When we got back sis and OH went to local Lidls as they wanted some of the old folk art Xmas decorations they had on offer from yesterday...there lovely by the way and she bought me a heat pad that you plug in and can put anywhere on your body:D ...its fabulous! Ive never seen one before, and I also got bought some of the xmas decor and 2 sitting folk art dolls (which if you visited would know I love Folk Art stuff)....I was truly spoilt:o ...so was OH & DD.
The footie match BIL/Nephew went to won 4/0...Chelsea V Watford-so they were happy. All didnt leave till 9.30pm so I am knackered! Somehow though, I didnt get round to mentioning about how ill I am but I think they know and I dont want to go on about it.
WM is on with uniform as I forgot Friday evening:eek:    DW has been emptied and toilet cleaned. DD is doing HW as she couldnt sleep and OH has just made some fresh coffee and playing on the Xbox.
I have emailed my tutor about having a further extension but will crack on with it today anyway and see if it flows ok. I really must sort myself out, but I just dont have much energy ATM.
Tomorrow we have to go to the mobility place and sort this stupid chair out they fitted as its hurting my back more and they want to charge £450 to take it out:eek:   ...I dont know what to do. Also have to sort the free car tax out tomorow so we can claim back this months on the one we have already paid for.
Breakie: Bacon Roll
Lunch: Baked Spud, Ham and salad
Dinner: Lamb, Roasties, New Pots, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauli & Yorkies
Hugs to all, and hope everyone is ok.

Morning all,
Good luck to all those with footie/basketball/etc, etc and hugs to all those in need.
Been awake since 5am, most unlike me, but did get to see a gorgeous sunrise over the channel as I waited for the kettle to boil.
The plasterers arrived here at 7am yesterday (without any prior warning) so it was a quick "up and at em" sort of day. The room is looking great now - can really get a feel for it. Popped to a local craft fair (wasn't that good IMO) then DD1 showed DD2 how to make shortbread as she learnt at school last week, they had a great time and I didn't help at all (apart from the washing up which had to be redone as it was all a bit smeary - but hey they tried)
Going to pop to Matalan today to look at curtains and then pop off and get some quotes for flooring/carpeting (landlord is paying for it all - I do love spending other peoples money)
Managed to get into Lidl yesterday and they had geese and ducks in, geese were £12.99 and a little beyond this months budget - I did however get a goose breast joint for £4.99 to try (never tried goose) and a large duck for £4.99 which we're having today. Anyone got any good goose recipies????
Anyway - have a great day all, I'm off to take advantage of the still slumbering house and bagsy first bath."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0
