    Hiya everybody,

Just having my tea at the computer. One piece of toast with peanut paste, one with lemon cheese & a hot milo. :D It's 8.10pm. We are still so full from lunch. It was a smorgasboard seafood one. Very nice. BIL got a big surprise and much laughter was had by all. Arrived home around 5pm. DH & I went for a walk shortly after to work it off.

XDIL & DGS coming over for a visit tomorrow. After they go I will get stuck into the painting as DH bought the brushes today. Also picked up the front steps.

GR Read the bulk of the thread. Glad to see that it settled down a bit so you could get to bed and you didn't need to use the car in a hurry.

Gin Gin DH was born in Sydney. He left when he was about 12. Have you been there before? It's very overpriced & over rated IMO. DH sister lives there and loves it though. I like the more relaxed lifestyle up here better and the sunshine. ;)

Well off to have a shower and go to bed. Hope you all enjoy your Saturday. It was Rememberance Day here today. Byeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning all,

I've caught a cold which is making it's presence felt this morning, not great on top of a hangover. GR, I reckon that puts me in just the right fettle to offer assistance with your neighbour problem :D. That sort of cowardly bullying makes me so angry. You rise above it Hun, there are dozens of us here who will be round like a shot if he tries anything like that again when your hubby is out.

I'm meant to be at work but.... Today I need to

Put WM on, have about 3 loads to do.
Brekkie (HM bread and maybe scrambled eggs if I can bear the noise of beating the eggs)
Clean flat (Vac hell, here I come  )
Lunch - use up day from fridge, so I'll concoct when I'm hungry.
Hang winter curtains in living room

I also need to pack up my summer clothes and sort out winter ones, but that will involve a needle and thread so I'm not sure I'll get there with that one today. :o

It must be getting cold as I've taken to inflicting HM bread and scones on my poor, long-suffering friends. Oh, and my ducks have vanished. Odd that  .

For those interested Solomon and Serena have taken to gliding up to visit me late in the evenings. Feeding swans in the moonlight is something else entirely. icon7.gif

    Have lovely weekends everyone

:grouphug: if you need one, esp GR and IM.:grouphug:

GR that article needs an operation on his lower extremities, and I don't mean his legs!!!!!!!!!:D We had a similar problem with a chap who insisted on parking his mini bus half way across our drive......moron...........one night his tyres were let down, not us milord honest, several others in the cul de sac also suffered....... think it was drunken kids coming back from the pub. since then his mini bus has not been seen.

Bright morning, but cold, no washing to do, supper is cheese pie and beans.....a visit to my friend this afternoon to set up the printer/scanner we bought the other day.............

    :coffee:calls :coffee:

    Cheers.....................

  • Good Morning All

Bright and sunny here today but quite wet on the ground.

Feel like a dog chasing its tail today - have dropped DD at stables 8.30, visited bakers and got newspaper, dropped son at football training 9.30, will pick him up at 11.30 then whiz him down to stables at 12 to watch dd ride and take her lunch. Home for 1 wake up oh and all go back down to stables for ds riding lesson at 2pm then back again at 3.30 to pick up dd!

When im in will be doing the washing and ironing. Also house needs a big tidy up. When dd comes home she will be fit for nothing so hopefully we will all be lounging around in front of the telly. We are a Strictly Come Dancing house.

In a minute need to marinate pork for tonights kebabs. Which we will have with onion rice and pitta bread.

Also might try and do some baking today with my new silicone bakeware - it didnt have any insutructions - does anyone know if I have to grease it first?

    Have a great day.

  • Morning,

    ((((hugs)))) Gingham.

Can't be sure but I *think* I've finally managed to order the washer-dryer I wanted. It came up as "in stock" on the John Lewis website last night after not being - so now I'm just waiting for the phone call from customer services to tell me that it is, indeed, on its way to me (however I have a feeling it might instead be a call to say that it's not in stock after all and the website listing was a mistake  - still, at least I went through Quidco and got 3% cashback if it DOES go through ;))

Of course being the MSEer that I am, I got a security call from my credit card company this morning to check that it really was me who's just spent a four figure sum in the space of two days :rotfl:

My solicitor's bill arrived this morning for the flat  and there's at least one significant error on it so I'll be on the phone to them on Monday morning!

Must get off my bum and do some packing, in a minute.

    Rzl xx

I'm feeling a bit rough again.. I think it is the herbal supplement I am taking so.. I will just have to wait until the effects wear off. I have contacted the manufacturer to see if this is 'normal'.. knowing me I am the first!

I've spent 2 hours at dance class with the girls today and have another 2 runs to do and I need to whizz myself over the downstairs making it habitable again.

It isn't quite so cold here today thankfully!

    Have a great day all!!
