  • Good morning all!

Lovely bright sunny day here, so when I woke up thought "gardening!". Hmmm it's rained so long and hard in the night everything is just too soggy to deal with! Oh well that means housework instead, and there's plenty to keep me out of mischief.

GR sorry to read about last night's episode! ( And I read the whole thing!) This is precisely why my DS3 and his colleagues aren't happy about CSOs. (He's a policeman) They get 3 weeks training!!! Their powers are really no more than any citizen. They can have a useful presence on the highstreet as a deterrent, but can no way replace a fully trained and qualified bobby. However this is the way our government seem to want it. Training less proper PCs and replacing them with CSos, madness or what? Anyway contact the station and tell them you're not reassured by what happened. Bullies like your neighbour will only have their behaviour reinforced by being "given in to" like that!

I hadn't meant to rant on like that, and it's not at all OS, but it is a sore point in our house!:rotfl:

Just want to boast that my inventory of the freezer IS paying off! I looked at the list yesterday morning, and allocated single portion meals to various family members (and guests!!!) and politely told them to get on with it themselves!! They did, and no complaints:rotfl: Meant that after a tiring day looking after DGS i didn't have half a dozen meals to cook:D

Must get on, the time is whizzing round.

    Have good days all,
    CMxx

Wow, page three. I did get up late. MInd you never got to bed until 1.30, and never got to sleep until 2.30;)

Got to fix the washing machine today... Got the parts off e-bay so I hope to fix it. The alternative will be going to Comet this afternoon. So I either saved £89 by not having the hotpoint man or lost £269 by buying a new one. Watch this space.
hope the repair goes well....if it comes down to going to Comet check their website prices first. I found mine was cheaper online on the Comet site and it had a free delivery. i went to the store to check it out..and then ordered at home ;)

    Morning all

Hope you're getting over things GR. As my Granny always says "you can choose your friends but you can't choose your neighbours" (or family) don't know if this ever helped anyone but she had a saying for everything.

    Icemaiden hugs to you.

Made home made garlic bread last night - haven't done it for years. I don't know why I started buying the bought stuff. I really don't like it, but HM - that's yummy.

Not a lot of plans for today.

Going to try to get to knitting shop.DDs scarf finished. Blanket underway but I need some wook and John Lewis don't seem to be getting any in. Off to investigate shop in Alnwick (wanted to go a couple of weeks ago but didn't get)

    Take care everyone.

Lasagne tonight (using bolognese from freezer)
DS and I about to make biscuits
And I'm going to try out Tana Ramsey's pastie thingys for lunches through the week.

Have a good weekend - hugs to all who have to work.

  • Morning everyone and special big (((hugs))) to GR (I read the whole thread too)

Boys are going out with Mr TM so I'll do a few bits n bobs round the house then I'll take myself off into Preston as I haven't been there in ages. BM is already on and I have loads of laundry ready to go.

DS2 is still tired. Everything is making him cry ATM, that sort of whingy whine that goes straight through you. I've just chased him out of the bedroom and he's shut himself in the study .... which is a bit daft as he can't get out :D Nasty mummy will give him a couple of minutes in there then let him out. (I've just opened the door and he's shut it again so he can stay in there longer!!)

Dunno what's for tea. I have a shoulder of lamb I could put in the SC, but I may have an eat up night and do the lamb tomorrow. Oooooh, decisions :D

Will dp some tv watching tonight and get on with the ironing - other than that have no "plans" for anything else today. Will see what happens as it happens.

    ((hugs)) to everyone

  • Morning all,

    Thanks for the:grouphug:

GR-I actually read your post late last night, glad you managed to get some rest. Luckily our neighbours are O/H relatives and don't have any problems plus I can nick their washing lines when mine are full:D which will be the case today as second load in WM as lovely and windy so perfect drying day.;)

Saturday night is board games night (in between Xfactor) so DS has chosen Risk for this evening, I always lose:mad:at this game and since dad isn't here either it will be a very quick game. Sausage rolls have also been requested for the munchies so will need to make some of them aswell.

Have a lovely day, take care
