    Morning all.

Day off w**k today, so after dropping girls at school, nipped into town and had a spend up in Primark. Bought some more of the Satin Chinese style PJ's for their stockings, £4 a pair and they are beautiful and wash up really well. Although have to make sure they get these on Christmas Eve as I have just been reminded  so they look nice in the Christmas Day piccies. ;) Also, bought my mum a gorgeously fluffy dressing gown, baby pink with darker pink love hearts on for £10 and some fluffy socks in the same soft fabric.

Have a good check of the arm seams on your pj's, I got my DD's 2 pairs each and they've all split after the first wear, I ended up getting the machine out to strengthen the rest of the seams....(our nearest primark is nearly an hour away - not worth taking them back!!)

    Afternoon all,

    Hugs all round.

Congrats to Valentine :T Enjoy every second of it.

    Happy birthday Little Miss Neat

I'm having a productive morning, just generated a huge pile of stuff to be shredded and condensed all my filing into 2 files. (just need to unearth the shredder now).

Got one little one this afternoon so will be having a quick playdoh session before a trip to the park, it's cold out there but the fresh air is better than listening to the builder banging away.

Got no inspiration for dinner tonight, I fancy something different but can't quite decide what, we've had lasagne, chicken curry, mullagatawnie soup and HM pizza this week, all quite strong flavours. Would help if someone else would make the decisson for once!

My first lot of ebay stuff finished on Sunday, listed 19 items, all being watched and 12 bid on...hoping to make £50 from this lot, will sort out the next lot and get it listed over the weekend.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

  • Afternoon all - thought I would just pop in before I start the dreaded ironing!!

My day off work today so been shopping to town today with a friend, hiya dlb, and discovered Primark! What a fantastic shop, cant wait to go with my daughter tomorrow!

Once the ironing is done will wake DH who has been on nights this week, have lunch, something quick and then pick kids up from school. After tea, not decided what to have yet though, parents and nephew visit which takes us to about 10pm by which time I'm ready for my bed! Thats my boring Friday.

Hope everyone has a great day

    Hi everyone,

Really happy today, even though at w**k. DD and DS both coming home for the weekend - I know that I miss them when their away but the fact that I am so happy today has surprised me, does the feeling of having a part of you missing ever go away when your children have flown the nest?

Cooked the mince for cottage pie last night, enough for the meal tonight and for another one (now in freezer) and made mocha squares. Also bought meat and veg for several more days worth. Bought organic stewing steak, I'm gradually trying to change to organic but the extra cost has put me off. This was only a few pence a kg dearer that the ordinary stewing steak though so I bought it. I wonder if it's because most people who buy organic go for the more expensive cuts and so the cost of things like stewing steak is reduced to get rid of it.

Ageandjo, I hope your move gets reinstated.

    Welcome Valentine and Petal.

You ladies who have no trouble with your periods are so lucky!
Oh I'm lucky BECAUSE I have trouble. I.e. no periods at all for months (and before you ask, no there is not even a millionth of a percent chance that I could be pregnant!) I keep meaning to get it checked out, but don't see the point as I've been so stressed about the move that I am convinced it is probably the primary reason for the absent periods, and I'll be going to the doc once I'm settled into the new place (cos they're few and far between at the best of times).

I've posted elsewhere about the kids fleecy pj's at £3 a pair. I bought DD1 some that have a scottie dog on, and she thinks that they are Radley PJ's (like the bags). :D

I wish that I had got myself a pair now. :o Can recommend the fluffy dressing gown I bought my mum for Christmas - its so soft - looks like candyfloss. :o

    Hi everyone!
Congratulations Valentine on your pregnancy...start taking your folic acid!! Enjoy it and hope it goes smoothly. A big hello to today's newcomers aswell.
All well in Aril land althought jaw aches after extended gassing session with said friend last night:D
OS today has consisted of a dark load and changing linen and towels.
OH has just rung me to say he's unexpectedly sold a miniature desk. That leaves him with precisely 3 things to sell at the show this weekend which is great for him because it means people like his stuff and he's been busy fulfilling orders rather than having time to make excess stock. I am so proud of him that he was brave enough to take the redundancy and the risk of trying something new rather than taking the easy option and moving to a new area in a job he loathed. Even if we have to live far more frugally we enjoy a far better quality of life for which I'm really grateful.
Was extremely:mad:  last night as got in from work [tired and hungry] to find a letter from school asking us to make a tudor costume for a fortnights time. Once I'd calmed down I thanked my lucky stars for my OS tendencies and dug through all my scrap fabrics and ribbons. Thankfully I have the wherewithal already using a cut up embroidered waistcoat and an embroidered hat I bought for 10p at a jumble to turn out something reasonable. Mind you the small person has vetoed tights in the strongest possible terms even though I did my best to remarket them as hose!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
Have a great weekend all you lovely people

;););) Pizza dough is in the breadmaker ready for tea.
DD comes back from school trip today!:j

Wen to Tesco and treated myself to a smart black three quarter length coat for £40 and got some tights etc - when i went to pay the sales assistant said that for another £3 - I would get a voucher for £10 off!

So got coat two multi packs of tights and stocking pressie for DD for £40 in total! :j :j

Not telling anyone the size of the coat, but it needs space for jumpers etc!

    Hugs to everyone.
