    Morning All

    Happy Birthday Little Miss Neat

    Happy Anniversary Melt

Welcome and Congratulations to Valentine, best advice is not to bother with anymore tests you dont get false postives. Get off to the Dr and let them know so they can inform the midwife. Then its a case of sit back and wait for the tiredness and/or nausea to hit.

Need to get on with some housework this morning this place looks like a bomb have gone off in it. I'm about to knock up some dough to make buns to go with some burgers in the freezer for tea. This afternoon we are off to Toddler group for DD to have a play and me to have a gossip. Its going to be tough keeping my bit of news asecret but if I dont it'll be all round the village by Monday and I havent told my dad yet.

    Have a good day everyone

Congratulations Valentine.. I want to be next!!!

Ageandjo We were int he same boat about 2 years ago and it is so very very hard and upsetting and horrible BUT.. we moved last July and you WILL move if not this time but you will get there eventually. I hated everyone who moved house in the few years up until we did because I really needed somewhere nice and safe for my children. Many hugs to you!!

Happy birthday, anniversaries and easters to all who require happies!

I feel awful today.. really dizzy and sick, this new herbal supplement I am taking doesn't seem to like me very much.. I spent half an hour throwing up last night which I don't do.. EVER, I don't do sick at all!

    Have a lovely day all!!

  • Good morning everyone. Welcome back Nelly. I left a link to mrbadexample's threads for you in yesterday's thread. Your task, should you choose to accept it, is to make one of the dishes! (And take a photograph!)

What a day yesterday! I was awake from about 3am until 2 am this morning. I'm feeling better after a decent sleep though. Today I have a hospital appointment but nothing else to worry about so another day of light housework and lots of rest. We got the grocery shopping yesterday so at least I don't have to worry about finding something to eat, although I did find it too much to try to get round Morrissons. (I cried. How embarrassing!) I'm going to try an online delivery for next week. NOT Asda after the appaling service I got the first time I tried which I've never had an apology about despite contacting them numerous times. (They tried to deliver hours late at gone 10pm after express instructions not to disturb me at that time of night. Grrr.)

Gosh that was a ramble. Sorry. Hugs to all who need them or just would like one.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

    Pen Pen - hope your dd has fun today at York;
mrs_mix - hope your dd feels better soon, my dd used to suffer with recurring acute earaches which affected her tonsils and I can relate to the meds at school problems (although, in fairness to the school, it wasn't really there place to administer med - yet it's such a dilema when it means compromising their education  )
Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Melt - enjoy your lunch :D
Many Happy Returns of the Day, Little Miss Neat :D
Welcome Valentine andCongratUlations on your nappy news :D
Welcome to OS Nelly ;) :rotfl:
(((Petal))) What a shocker!!! Relieved to hear they didn't gain entry! Don't be surprised if you get a visit from Victim Support too.
(((age))) Sorry to read about the transfer :( Try not to cut your nose to spite your face by not decorating/celebrating Christmas - I can understand why you'd feel that way, but we need cheery things in our lives too and things to look forward to. Fingers X'd it's just a red tape nonsense that can be sorted out so you can look forward to 2007 with a :)
BR - :j :j :j Absolutely delighted on your home news :j :j :j Er ... on the office move .. at least you have lots of fresh experience to draw on when packing the office :o
((gingin)) Will be sending lots of posi vibes your dh's way for his interviews next week. Hope dd finds just the pair she's dreamt of at a price you've budgeted for ;):D

Had a busy, but lovely day yesterday. Had friends over in the afternoon/evening and I spent the first half of the day tidying, cleaning and then putting the BM and SC to work in the Utility Room and managed 10 mins with a coffee before the door bell rang :o
After doing the lads rooms yesterday, I now have 4 washloads to do! Whites, lights, darks and woolens. I thought I was on top of it all, but hadn't bargained for the peculiar places young lads consider as laundry spaces. 2 down - 2 to go! The ironing basket needs a crash diet too, so I'll multitask that with some Spanish revision. I know Spanish isn't (yet!) my strongest point, but I'm determined to do well and I'll only get out of it what I put into it. Whip round already done and bed/rooms all aired.

When everything is done, it's list day! I need to get myself super organised; so much to do between now and Christmas I'll drown with it if I don't have my lists - sounds very anal, I know, but it's the best way for me to focus and still make time for the things I want to do and not just the things I need/have to do.

Sunday I'm off to have some hypnotherapy; I'm struggling with the stopping smoking - although I haven't given up giving up, I've had a few blips :o so, my friend is going to give me some sessions to see if that helps.
Food will be leftovers today! I don't seem to be able to do 'inbetween' amounts ;) I was used to dishing up daily meals for 9 and as that naturally declined I find even having a couple extra puts me back into 9 mode. I can appreciate now, way back when, after our father died, my mother continued to dish up dinners for him. At the time, I thought she was do-lally, (how could she forget he'd died??) but now I realise, it's the portions and plates you dish up, often unthinkingly, as part of a routine. Thank goodness for freezers and microwaves ;)

((hugs)) for those who want/need them, have a fun Friday everyone :D:D

    Congratulations & welcome Valentine x
Petal -what a terrible thing to happen. Now I know why DH always insists we lock our UPVC door overnight (& put the key in the box near the door, but out of reach of the letterbox)

    Hi to everyone else, too!

I am feeling a bit better today, so will try & get back on track with the housework. At least with all this flylady challengy stuff it's not as bad as it might have been. Also at some point I want to see my new great-nephew, but not sure whether that will be today or at the weekend. So much new baby news about at the moment!

DS has not yet emerged, so I am off in a minute or two to get him up & working!

    Have a good day!

:grouphug:if you need one, especially ageandjo :grouphug:

Well I was out and about early this morning, had to see the vampire at the hosiptal to check on my cholesterol level for the specialist. I no longer have appointments they take a blood test every 6 months and then tell me if I should continue to take the tablets or what is happening..... I have been on my prresent medication for a number of years now, things seem to tick along nicely.

Coloured wash on the line, just had my brekkie...... not much planned for today, might make a load of marmalade, OH is complianing that we do not have any.

I made leek and lentil soup yesterday, had some left over veg so shoved that in as well.

Fish, mustard mash and peas tonight with the other half of yesterdays bread and butter pudding.

    :coffee: calls..............

Congratulations, Valentine and welcome to OS! Although I agree with Melt that you should get straight off to the doctors so that he/she can advise re diet or supplements etc I would still do a bought pregnancy test. When I was pregnant with both my daughters my pregnancy tests that the doctors did came back negative both times and yet the ones that I bought from the chemist showed a very definite positive! Unless things have changed in the 16 years that I was last pregnant, the test that the docs do isn't as good or accurate as the ones you buy.

My two year old daughter had measles at the same time I found I was pregnant with my 2nd daughter and I needed to confirm quite urgently that I was pregnant so that they could test me and make sure I didn't have measles too. The doc sent the test off (I told her that it would come back negative anyway) and, because it was negative, the doc didn't believe I was pregnant. I knew I was - I recognised the symptoms and had also had a positive test done from the chemist! So I had a very worrying and stressful couple of weeks until the doctors agreed I was pregnant and tested me for measles. Luckily I was immune and so Baby 2 was fine.

Sorry to waffle on! I really must get off my pc now and get some housework done (can't hoover yet because DD2 is asleep upstairs as its her day off college!) but I can get on with polishing, cleaning loos, ironing etc.

Made some gorgeous coffee cake slices last night. The first 2 times I attempted them the recipe failed and I realised that it wasn't me it was the recipe that was wrong. I adjusted some of the ingredients and instead of a sticky mess I got a lovely, spongey coffee cake in a tray that could be cut up into squares! The recipe also stated that it be made in a tin 13cm x 9cm! I think they must mean inches not centimetres!

Before I go on and on and bore you all to death I am now going to get on with the housework! :)

Have a good day everyone!

    (((ageandjo))) and (((Petal)))

Congratulations, and welcome to Valentine x

Bargain RZL - congratulations! I can imagine you are very happy!

Well, not much to report here except the return of the dreaded sleeping pattern dissapearing (I couldnt sleep for three and half hours when I got to bed and continually woke up during the 5hrs sleep I had) so ive got a docs appt this morning and I need to have a discussion as i think this latest bout is triggered by work. Ive been off all week too but ive completely lost the drive to do anything.

Im also still suffering with the remnants of my cold. Oh well. Im off for a shower and find something suitable to wear in this weather, which is threatening rain and cold!

    Have a good day all!

    Just having a quick cuppa
Queenie I know what you mean it's a no win situation when I sent her last week dosed up with calpol just before this started I made sure I explained to someone that her temp may go up can they check on her later guess what they didn't and when she tries to tell them they just tell her to sit quietly so how can I send her if they are not going to look after her and if I don't send her I get aggro for that
still on the job front dd bedroom almost finished and just the bed to make and hoover ours then it's on to bagdad or ds1 & 2's bed room if I haven't let you know I'm still about at 3o'clock send out for a search party
    better get on

    pam

    Good morning all,
I'm on my second day off work, and typing this as well as I am able, propped up on one elbow, lounging at my desk. Don't want to put too fine a point on it but if anyone can point me in the direction of some good web info. on being on periods for about 50% of the time I'd welcome advice. My doc seems to be operating the ..."if they come back for a fourth time it might be serious" system. I've been urgently recalled to the G.P. to discuss blood test results, and the first appointment they can give me is next Wednesday. Meanwhile I have acquired a vampire like pallour, and have given up standing & walking. (Not ideal in a teacher, I think you might agree.)

Ageandjo so sorry you've been frustrated in your attempts, you were so looking forward to the move too.

Hugs to all who need them.

(p.s. I'm listening to that delightful sound made by a D.H. doing all the housework instead of me.... music!)

    Love to all, Topher/Jane
