Congratulations Valentine!!!! Ohhhhh another OS baby, I hope I'm the next one to be making an announcement.

Welcome to the OS board, believe me, you will never clean, cook or shop the same again! :D and your whole world will smell of vinegar (but your windows will be sparkling so you won't care :p)

If you've been lurking for a while you have no doubt found the sticky threads with all the useful bits of info in them, I especially loved the recipes one, but there is nothing like a personal bit of advice so if you have any questions, start a thread and I'm sure that the OS experts will help. They've always been extremely helpful to me.

Good luck with the pregnancy thing and your first OS lesson is as follows. DO NOT go and buy any more expensive pregnancy tests; get yourself down to the doctors and they will do it for free! you can then register your pregnancy with them whilst you are there, you'll have to go anyway so you may as well go now ;) .

  • Morning all, :hello:

Welcome Valentine and Congratulations! You have come to the right place for advice. There are some very wise people here (I'm not one of them. :shhh: )

Happy Birthday Little Miss Neat and Happy Anniversary Melt

PenPen is there something wrong with your laptop? Got the impression you were slightly miffed about something. :)

Well, I have had a good night's sleep but for some reason I woke at 5.30 and gave in at 6.00 and got up. I think this is my earliest post ever. So, I will make good use of this extra hour and a half and try and get ahead of myself for the weekend.

Sorry to hear some OSers are having trouble sleeping and/or ill but delighted to hear some OSers have some good news. Congratulations to Joannasmum and BargainRZL in particular.

Well, I'm off to do my paid-to-clicks and cheque my bank account. Then it's w**k for me. Being doing lots of overtime recently. The money will be handy but it eats into my day so I'm getting behind with my OS housework.

    Have a great day everybody,

    Annie x

Good Morning all you earlybirds and CONGRATS Valentine! :D

I'm a reader of OS more than a poster cos I rarely I have the time...but...I was woken at 4am by some theiving scumbag opening my front door! Had the Police round, sniffer dog...the lot. Dog apparently picked up same scent on quite a few other UPVC doors...fortunately I had my chain on which prevented them from getting in (I ran down the stairs and shoved the door closed whilst they were at the door!!) OH is away too...just me and 4 yo DS at home :( Scum..... apparently, they put something thru the letterbox and pulled the handle down....simple as that!

Anyhow, dunno about OS stuff today....I would like to put WM on but that's in the garage and it's dark (wouldn't normally bother me...but...) and anything esle I wanna do right now creates too much noise for little one. I s'pose OS stuff will have to wait for tonight and then a big tidy up for when OH comes home tomorrow! Yaaaay!

    Have a good day all

Oh my god my worst nightmare, someone breaking into my house when my OH is away  you must be really shaken. I would have been terrified. I have a baseball bat near my front door (OH insists  ) but I would probably be too frozen in fear to ever use it if anything like that did happen. Have a strong cup of tea and calm your nerves hun, is there anyone that you can ask to come around today? just to keep you company for a while.

    Morning!

Gad such a bad day yesterday our home exchange has fallen through:o Have been so upset at the thought of being stuck here, the reason for it being refused is so stupid and the HA has upset and made ill an old lady who wanted to move in here, I went to see her yesterday and she had been crying al day, I tried to comfort her and said dont worry they cannot refuse it on the grounds they have said as the housing have contradicted themselves and assumed medical history:mad:
Today will be the day that we will appeal and finnd out for sure but if they refuse us again then there is no hope at all of us ever moving:mad:
So I will not be celebrating christmas, no decorations nothing if they decide not to play ball.
No OS done at all yesterday or today I cant concerntrate on anything, am so fed up
    Hope everyone is well

ageandjo I'm sorry to hear your having problems :grouphug: If you both want to swap I really don't see the problem, I take it that it's the usual red tape nonsense

I hope you get it all sorted later today, chin up and don't let the ******* grind you down.

When you write out your invoice, give them your details and they can directly deposit the money into your account. So less hassle. YOu just can look at your account on the internet to see when they paid. Cheques here are getting to be a thing of the past.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
