    Morning All

Glad to see Nelly here, his posts do make me laugh on DT.

((Hugs)) to everybody who needs them especially Tired Mum

Plan for the day is extract the house from the mountain of washing, go to Aldi for the essentials and tidy up the toys and DD room. Found a joint of Ham in the freezer so I'm going to cook that for tea and the rest for sandwiches later in the week.

Better go as DD had plonked herself on my knee and I cant see the keyboard

Hello everybody!!:hello: You're not the only one who slept in Pen-Pen! Lovely bright sunny day here in London, so I feel quite energised now. (may not last long though!:rotfl: That's me not the weather!)

Plan today is to finish each job before starting the next!! I've decided I really must go through the fridge and freezer making a list of what I have in there. Too much food is being wasted because I don't have room to freeze it before it becomes unusable, and when I'm shopping I can't remember if I've already got something in the freezer so I buy another lot iyswim. Would help if my lot worked "normal" office hours, so that mealtimes were at one sitting. As it is I never seem to know how many for dinner, and often that will be eaten at three different sittings! I give up on the number of times I get a call saying either that they will now be eating out (10 minutes after I start cooking, so too late to adjust the quantities) or that they're at the end of the street and will be bringing XYZ home with them!!!

If I get time I may even follow twink's good example and do something in the garden. I suppose even a 15 minute "fly" would achieve something. It certainly is the weather for it.

AussieLass, glad the house is going so well and that you've finished with the thingy (just love your technical terms, you're as good as me!!) in time.(And yes your description DID sound very rude!:rotfl:

Tired mum, hang on in there, things will get better, but for the moment just have a

Well I must get started or all my good intentions will catch the first bus out of here, hope you all have the day you want, take care

PS forgot my manners!! Welcome nelly!! No need to be scared, we don't bite (well not that often)!!

  • Morning Everyone

    Welcome Nelly :hello:

Managed to finish work early yesterday and do some Xmas shopping, don't have much more to get now so I'm really pleased. OH is an absolute nightmare to buy presents for

OH is feeling pretty pleased with himself today as he managed to fix the boiler last night so we finally have hot water and heating - he's probably saved us a fair bit by doing it himself too.

I'm working late probably most nights for the next 2 weeks before we go on holiday so am being organised with my meal planning etc

    B - Cereal Bar & Tea
    L - Cheese & Onion Sandwiches
D - Something snacky as late home

Have a good day and hugs to those in need :grouphug: x
Its nice to be important but more important to be nice!

Morning :hello: and welcome to Nelly :D (lovely to have another bloke on board, and it's a lot less scary in here than in Discussion Time ;))

Wrote a strongly worded email last night to HA's solicitor, my solicitor, and the HA (posted it on Housebuying board on the "Race to be in be Christmas" thread if you want to peek!) so am hoping it succeeds in kicking the necessary butts before today is out.

Think I'm out tonight - a friend is giving a choir concert at my church, so I ought to go along and give some support - plus the tickets are only £5, bargain! I was asked to sing in it but wasn't available for the rehearsals  Need to text my friend to check the start time.

Am failing miserably at OS today, I forgot to take anything out of the freezer for my lunch so will resort to an expensive takeaway lunch from my favourite place (or an almost-as-expensive jacket spud from a different place - depends what mood I'm in come lunchtime). Had the final portion of a yummy HM turkey casserole for supper yesterday, though - the secret ingredient was parsnips, as I happened to pick up a big bag of Tesco Value ones reduced to about 10p last Friday! Delish.

Anyway, hope everybody's well and I'll let you know if anything moves forward with the flat!

    R xx

Hi everyone  a special welcome to Nelly - I'm quite new to this thread too, but it's a good one.

Tired mum you sound soooooo fed up :( I haven't really got any advice, I wouldn't have a clue what to do with a child like that! But I just wanted to send :grouphug:

Not much planned for me today as I'm at work all day, but my OH is back today :j and we are both off tomorrow so we get to spend all day being loved up together. It's our anniversary so we will go shopping (probably at Primari because we are skint!) and then have a nice meal together and a quite afternoon before dd comes home from school.

I have however got my organised head on, I've started seriously planning what presents I want to buy for my dd's birthday and then for my hampers for xmas and also my finances need to be organised properly. I usually do my banking a couple of times a month.

Went to my dd's parents evening last night and was told all the usual stuff - she's lovely, she's a pleasure to teach, she's very bright, helpful, caring and considerate, I wish I had 30 like her in the class! etc etc. Then she told me that my dd is in the top groups for all of her subjects :j bless her, she does work hard and she loves school. This means I'll have to give her a little treat and as I'm struggling for ideas for her birthday as it is, I'm stumpted! Maybe a trip to her fav Italian restaurant?

Anyway, have a good day everyone! I probably won't be on here tomorrow but I hope you all have a great weekend.

    Forgot to say;

    Porridge & honey for breakfast
Bean salad with beetroot, tomatoes & tuna for lunch
and probably something potatoey for tea!

:grouphug: if you need one :grouphug:

Lovely bright morning, just off to put a load of whites out on the line for a blow, there is a slight breeze.

OH is out in MY CAR AGAIN........I went over to my friends yesterday, her printer conked out, so took her to get a new one............

I HAVE to clear out the back bedroom, it looks like a bomb hit the tip..... stuff everywhere, plus I need to do some serious card making for Christmas, otherwise I will be up till god knows when just before Christmas.......next year I WILL DO THEM IN JANUARY............

Must admit my creative juices are very low right now, just do not seem to be able to pull myself round, have a lot to do and no real get up and go to get on with them. Just seem to be keeping the house and washing under control and cooking as usual...................I must try and motivate myself......maybe need to post myself little notes!!!!!

:coffee: calling, need to get the washing out too,

    See ya'll later....................
