Just got back from the house. We finished putting all the plasterboard on the ceilings now. We can take the lifter back tomorrow. It's starting to feel like the light is at the end of the tunnel now. DH reckons another 4 weeks of solid work should bring it up. Plastering next. Speaking of plastering
Nelly where are you?
Having snags for tea tonight.
Ageandjo The crackling on the pork is so crisp in the SC. :rotfl:
Bye for now.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Good morning everyone,
Welcome Nelly!!!!
Just one little one here today, and she is at nursery this morning, so i am going to veg out!!!! Managed to sort out 'the corner' yesterday. Its where i keep all the drawing/painting stuff and it never stays tidy, and i end up losing half of it!!! But, it is now all sorted, ready for the little ones tomorrow (going to paint leaves!!!)
Need to have a look in the freezer in a minute, to find something for dinner tonight, think we have some minced lamb, so might make a shepherds pie for DS and me, and a type of spag bol for DD (she wont eat anything with mashed potato on it!!!). Do need to make some biscuits/cakes for the packed lunches, and after seeing PPs daughters lovely looking scones, might make some myself (although i know mine wont rise so much, she has the knack there!!!)
ageandjo - sounds good re the mve, have you got a date yet????
Aussielass - glad you have had a lovely day with DGS.
Snowy - hope you get some sleep later, hope the job is going well xx
((HUGS)) to everyone today xx
Take care, have a great day xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
dlb - love your new avy!!!!0

morning all not read thread yet will read later when i get back from the school run
yesterday i did loads of cleaning and i used the cross trainer twice 10 min each time so was quite pleased
picked kids up and DS was shouting and arguing with his sister on the corner of the street when i pulled up i am really at the end of my tether with his behaviour and finding him hard to cope with he is so lazy and since going to the seniors he has made his sisters life very hard for her wont leave her friends alone is insulting to them and generaly obnoxious we were warned he was like this in junior school towards her but hoped it was an age thing obviously not! yesterday he was acting the fool again and trying to look big by doing stupid things but just being offensive and playing the fool i am really fed up with it i know he has ADHD but that is no excuse for his behaviour
sometimes i wish he wasnt here and life would be so much easier for everyone including both his sisters i know i am not supposed to feel like this but i just cant cope with him and am fed up with calls from the school he has had 3 fights in 3 months and so on
sorry for the rant
hugs to all who need them and hope everyone has a agood day0 -

Morning everyone
Can feel it starting to get a bit chillier here. Still holding out on the heating front though
Had a lovely lunch yesterday and we have booked the restaurant for my mum's birthday. It is on the 30th December and we found it a bit of a struggle to find somewhere that didn't have organised party type evenings on at that time of year.
My little nephew was there as well (he is nearly 14 months old). Although I only seen him last week he seems to have grown so much. He has nearly lost all his baby features and looks like a proper wee boy now.
Todays plans include going for the weekly food shopping, popping to the post office and bank and when I get back a clean and tidy up of the house.
Off for a browse
Have a great day0 -
Good morning all!
Wow, 7.48 am and 21 posts already! (not to mention the dozens which will doubless appear while I am typing this!)
Well, I am now a Great-Aunt! My niece had her baby boy yesterday lunchtime, and although there were a few problems with the birth I understand that mum & babe are both ok now. I am really looking forward to seeing them. My sister sent me a photo of the baby with his dad - baby looks very much like my niece when she was born.
My tooth (or to be more precise, the gap where a tooth once stood) is still very painful and I am trying to keep count of painkillers so as to not overdo things, opening my mouth is very uncomfortable so I am not eating much or saying too much if I can help it!
DS has his piano lesson this morning, then back for his schooly work here. He had his first assignment back yesterday from the correspondence school, and got a very good mark and some helpful comments, so we were very pleased with that.
Anyway - have a good day, everyone!0 -
Hi Chums ,hope everyone has had a peaceful night .Went to the theatre last night .
Am-dram at The Brook, Chatham. Was supposed to be a send-up of 'Most Haunted'
What an absolute load of tosh .It was so bad it mad me laugh.80% ad-libbed as they semed to have forgotten their lines ,tiny studio theatre ,no scenery, and 95% full of relatives of the actors .God knows who wrote it, there wasn't a programme so perhaps they didn't want to own up to 'writing' it Still the tickets were free (son-in-laws 'treat' ?) so it was a night out.
had a bad night's sleep last night ,probably why I'm a bit crabby this morning.Woke up on the hour almost through the night .Gave up and got up about 5.00.a.m.
Might get a nap in front of to box this afternoon to catch up. Have piles of reading to do for my lit course ,'Moby !!!!!!' will surely send me to sleep.
Hope you all have a good day (((hugs ))) to those in need .0 -
